Marilyn Price Thomas bakery’s aren’t actually required to wear gloves as it take a sense of touch and feel away and their are many machines used in the process of baked goods witch have very dangerous pinch points that if a glove gets caught on it will pull your arm into the machine and possibly crush it.
@@sprucemoose8476 Has nothing to do with "sense of touch" but rather food safety laws / regulations. You are not required to wear gloves when prepping raw food products that will be cooked and will kill any bacteria. When I managed bakeries my back of house doing all of the prepping / baking did not have to wear gloves however front of house who was touching / handling cooked product did.
