I am listening to this at 4am in the morning and I can't stop listening because I have gone through and am going through everything that you are describing. Just swap law school for medschool. I knew from day one I was in the wrong place but here I am 15 years later, thinking that voice in me saying "no get out!!!"would go away, hearing that voice now scream at me louder than ever. And I can't take it anymore.
Thank you for this for affirming I am not crazy.

Dear Mel, you have been such a brilliant influence in my life. I feel you have really, really helped me find my voice in so many situations. I have re discovered myself through all your podcasts. You describe situations, and your choice of words are so meaningful. Thank you so much for this deep understanding. You are a true friend, even though we have never met. 😊 Simran, London

    I came up with a saying in 2013 - they say : “ things happen for a reason “ however I say : “ when you have a reason things happen” !!

I am listening to you for the first time today. I’ve asked for guidance from the universe and found your channel. I’m 53 and and just don’t want to be in a relationship. Nice guy but I feel like I need to work on myself. Thank you I needed this and other of your videos today.

I spent all night awake and I wish I’d found this. I have been so invested in every one else happiness and putting mine on the shelf. I have traded all of my wants and desires for other’s needs. I couldn’t have any of the conversations I wanted to have without disappointing others and then I’d give up something that I needed…. To make it right for others and I was drowning in the emptiness I created.

I have never felt more unprivileged. I work hard and we are barely making it. It would be lovely to have choices apparently your peers have but, we are trying to eat and keep a roof. Thanks, Mel for driving it home.

This is for everyone who needs this right now. I am doing to write two simple prayers/texts. The first one is God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference, living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; taking this world as it is and not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen. ❤️ The second one is O God and Heavenly Father, Grant to us the serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed; courage to change that which can be changed, and wisdom to know the one from the other, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. ❤️ I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS! ❤️
