  • This is a comparison of the Spot, Combo, and Wide Cornering lens patterns on the Baja Designs Squadron Sport family of lights. All video was shot on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and auto focus/color correction was left ON.
    The first set of trees to the left is approximately 80 feet away, and the furthest trees that are lit by the spot pattern are approximately 200 feet away.
    All of these products can be found at our site, and if you have other questions please reach out to us or leave a comment!

    Seriously...all the searching I've done and I finally found the ONE video that actually gives the information I'm looking for. Thanks man.

      Glad it was helpful! I have a bunch more coming (shameless plug but you should Subscribe), but just have to get the finishing touches on a website I am building completed! This was one of those things that I always didn't have enough information on myself so I figured I had better get it out there for everyone!

    Good grief... THANK YOU!!! I've been going back and forth for days trying to figure out exactly what you showed in this video! I'm really surprised there aren't more straight forward videos like this showing actual real world performance differences instead of someone just standing behind a table talking about it.

    SUPER helpful! Thank you. Am looking for a set of these to mount to my Yamaha Niken GT. Close up lighting is horrible and I'm literally turning into the dark with stock lights on this bike.

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  3 роки тому

      First of all I didn't even know that the Niken GT was a thing and I just gotta say VERY COOL. I could certainly help out with that! I have most of these lights in stock, and I know of some collar mounts and such that may just work for your application if mounting is a concern as well. If you want to send me some photos, and additional info to info@hotshotoffroad.com I could probably help you out. Or if you have other questions you can certainly ask them here as well.

    I know they make these in flush mount and there are similar to these available for the Can-am 450-570 Outlander in a precut round steel piece to mount it as a headlight. I have always wondered since its not clear if there is a high low on them. For that reason I've never bought any. To the big question. Are you able to just turn on the bottom two flood bulbs, just the top two spot, and both together? If that be the case these are what Ive been looking for! Thanks for the video.

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  Рік тому

      There's unfortunately no way to turn on the top and bottom sections of a squadron independently.

    I’m thinking of using the combo pattern for A-pillar lights on my Jeep as apposed to wide cornering. I want to see the sides of the trail and wildlife in the distance. But I don’t want a lot of hood reflection. They will be pointed slightly to the sides. Thoughts?

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  2 роки тому

      You’ll still get a bit of hood splash either way, but our favorite jack-of-all-trades A-Pillar light is the squadron in a combo pattern so I think it’s a good call. As an aside, we do have these on sale here starting tomorrow so you could pick them up at a discount to boot!

      Where will you be mounting them? Up high or down low? Any other lights already on the rig? If there’s no other info available I say that the combo is the better all-arounder for sure.

    What lumens are the light I no some can be 1 2 3 or 4000 lumens per lights

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  Рік тому +1

      A single squadron sport products 3,150 raw lumens. Raw lumen numbers can be deceiving because optics, and proper power usage are important to see how a light will actually perform. That said, the BD stuff actually use their light pretty well.

      I absolutely can. That's on the short list actually! I would say plan on that one to be out by the end of the month. There's something coming that will be worth waiting for :)

    Is this just one light or are they pairs?

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  3 роки тому +1

      For this comparison this was a single light. Please note that there was no camera locking for this video so you'll see a little bit of fluctuation as the camera tries to adjust. You still get to see the differences in pattern though!
