Limmers and Dickies were listed as the only required gear for the job, in order to handle the rugged terrain and any stray axe swings. I love the appreciation that you have for everything. It is heart warming. Careful with the red laces and no hair, people might think you're a "new" fan of German politics from the late 30s...green may be the better color.
Especially with that Thunderbolt imagery on the side of his old boots Smdh lol 🤦♂️
In german street code red laces are used by leftists and punks while white laces with black army boots are worn by fascists
Those are the coolest boots I’ve ever seen🔥🔥🔥
The chef's kiss on this video would have been showing the lace up style. There's several ways to lace a boot. Although the Swiss boots look like he was just doing cross diagonal, nothing wrong with the basics.
Get a pair of Jim Green boots!
That’s what I was gonna say ! Barefoot boots should work ! 🐸🥾
Interesting! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
Great video!
Whoa! Saw this on the patreon! Weird haha, I guess I will just have to watch it again over lunch!
I've been looking into my first pair of boots for the past week. Isn't crazy that you just posted this?
Do you have a link for where you get the Swiss army boots? I’m having trouble finding them
Van, would you consider making a video about your data/footage management explaining how are you able to go through all these hours of film to get the pieces you want? Or am I an ignorant and you have already explained that?
I always thought you had some Pacific Northwest logger/fire boots. Like the wildland firefighters use.
i love good quality lether boots
but ...ordering custom ones can be expensive
for cheaper option.....

if u need workboots(still pretty expensive)with awesome quality i go with Royer--- crazy comfortable insoles and super durable....
lets say i like to kick stuff on the ground around my workshop etc ...and they hold up without any issues + can walk few miles in them easily even when i use super heavy winter ones up to -40*C (dont ask why in country with average min of -20*C for few weeks --there was a discount 😆 but when i use them in freezing temps they still works great just bit warm + u almost cant feel them walking what is really weird considering how heavy they are)
.
few models of Helly Hansens can work well too ...but u need to be size D (standard ...anything W (wide) probably wont work with them :/ ( i have like 4.2inch width (size 9W) and just 0.1 maybe 0.2 too narrow if i go with size 9 (they don't have size 9W :/ ) but with standard width theyre great quality for the price especially model HHS211005 -- rly good shoe (unless they need to be wide :/ )
Minerva was/is a Swiss military boots maker - mine are 2004 and have also been made by Minerva
It would be interesting for you to do a REMAKE on an early video. Either from the channel or the first video you made? How does art change over time from the same artist.
If someone is a patron member, can you please post this as an idea.
Thanks

Please post an update in 2 years.
Fancy hiking and I was thinking that Meindl or Grenson are expensive
I love the appreciation that you have for everything. It is heart warming. I’ve made approx $100,000 in my Walmart brand work shoes, they’ve outlasted 4 other pairs of ‘higher quality’ shoes that get torn up from all of the running I have to do. (I work in the gambling industry - have to be quick and professional to make our mula).
Anyways - I always thought it was funny that $40 shoes have lasted 3 or 4 years. And that they are still helping me make money from a $40 investment.
Altbergs are amazing boots made in Yorkshire and they will fix them even 30 years on
You should wear Vans. That would seem fitting
Congratulations
Should've consulted Ian Fieggen 🇦🇺 for lacing up & knotting 🪢

I love the thumbnail
My dad’s a electrician, he’s been a red wing guy my whole life, I will not be a blue collar worker in 5 years hopefully, headed for academics, I definitely plan on exploring boots from this company for my father.
