Exploring Sitka! Alaska's Most Beautiful Town?!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 жов 2024
- In today’s vlog we’re exploring the Southeast Alaska town of Sitka. Beautiful weather and even more gorgeous scenery greeted us in this picturesque seaside town. With islands dotting the coast, mountains rising above, and a ton of history, it’s easy to see why this quickly became my new favorite town in Alaska!
Things we saw in Sitka:
Castle Hill
Sitka National Historical Park
Downtown Shopping. So many great stores, but I LOVED The Cellar.
Drove up Harbor Mountain Road
Whale Park
Pizza at the Campfire Pizza Kitchen located in Harbor Mountain Brewing Co.
Now, Sherri and I need to plan a trip to Sitka together!

Gosh. Just being in the proximity of eagles just... straight up chillin.. oh my goodness. I can't imagine what that's like. Wonderful. ❤️🦅😊
Thank you for taking us along on your trip. So beautiful there stay safe
My favorite city, love the history, beautiful city. Glad you liked it.
This is so great! The first time I heard of Sitka was the Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds movie🤣💕
Same
Unfortunately there was only one brief moment in the beginning, rest is not filmed in Sitka.
Absolutely LOVE Sitka! I wasn’t able to sightsee much during my time there for work but it was so beautiful and magical, very Lord of the Rings. I cannot wait to go back sometime for a getaway.
I fell in love with Sitka on my first Alaska trip! Absolutely beautiful and the kindest shop owners! We saw around 25 whales on our first 3 hour water excursion! I’ve been back many times since.
Thank you Adam for the tour, this is so useful for my Alaska cruise which stops at Sitka
Thank you to sharing the video. I like to know more Alaska 😊
Your videos make me smile !
❤ i loved the town of Sitka on our Alaska visit in August. Thank you for the beautiful memories
My husband and I loved strolling through Sitka when our cruise ship stopped there. We also went through the museum you showed. We took a private whale and wildlife tour by boat with a local. Going through and around those islands. Only 4 people on board. Priceless experience.
Also one of my top three Alaska favorites with Seward and icy straight point. No way to choose a number one.
My favorite is Icy Strait Point/Hoonah, but I agree that Sitka is close second.
Just found your channel and had to subscribe! We visited Sitka in 2022 and loved our time there - it really is a beautiful place - and we are going back in 2025. I loved that you show a variety of things - from the history, nature and shopping. The tips on what roads you drove for the views was so helpful! I will be watching more from your previous videos, and look forward to where you go next!
Thank you so much for this! I had a chance to visit this beautiful town earlier this year when we docked there on a cruise, but my husband was ill on that day so we had to stay onboard. Now I was able to see some of what we missed thanks to you🌹
I made my 1st trip to Alaska with my mom it was on her bucket list. Our ports were Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway n British Columbia we went in may. It was amazing. Your videos are so informative makes me want to go back. Safe travels home
I really want to visit Alaska one day. This nature reminds me my childhood time . Great video for inspiration. Thank you a lot !!!!
Beautiful! The family and I want to do an Alaskan cruise so much, but watching your videos also makes me want to fly to Alaska and drive around and stay a bit. I fear that stopping one day at each port on a cruise is just not enough time to see all the amazing and beautiful sights!
Hi, yes I can relate when I cruised there in may we def could of used more time it is nice that it’s daylight for so long bring I came from west palm fl
Great vlog- now I need to visit Sitka!
Wow, so gorgeous! Looking up how to get to Sitka from CA, not so easy! May finally take a cruise… 🤗
I want to go! My mom used to make homemade Russian tea, and it had Tang in it and cinnamon and cloves and lots of spices. It is delicious warm! It looks mesmerizing by the water.
Thanks for the video tour!!! We are going on a cruise in May/June. Looks like this may be one of the best stops!
We're going back to Sitka in May on a cruise and we couldn't be more excited! It's such a beautiful little town! Hope you enjoy it and that your cruise is amazing!
so amazingly beautiful!
We're going on an Alaskan inside straight cruise with a long stop at Sitka. I didn't know anything about the town so I did some research and found your vlog and booked a day-long tour. Even convinced our friends to join us. So excited! And where did you get those earrings? They're so beautiful and I'd love to buy them to take home as a reminder of Sitka.
Ok so when I watched the movie The Proposal which is supposedly set in Sitka I thought wow that is so beautiful and I started thinking that I would love to visit. Well life happened and my health has deteriorated... But I am so glad that I found you guys and thank you for sharing your Alaska and Sitka so I can live vicariously through the vlogs 🤗💕
Only the first scene is filmed in Alaska: house on a little peninsula.
How beautiful ❤
I haven’t lived there in a while but I alway know the pride I have from being from my favorite town in Alaska
So beautiful
You mentioned The inheritance games in the last podcast..I’ve completed the first 3 books in 3 days lol I can’t put em down. Who knew a 35 year old man would be so enthralled with teen angst 😂 appreciate the suggestion!
Beautiful
Russian tea is the best, in my opinion! Used to make homemade batches when I was a kid! So easy, so good!
Love this channel😊
I never new so many people cherish and gawek at what I have everyday 𓆩☺️𓆪 If you had really wanted to see some views of Sitka you should've went up harbor mountain, up there you can see all of Sitka and the surrounding Islands and inlets.
I’ll be in Sitka in September and will definitely check out Harbor Mountain! Thank you for the suggestion 😊
If you like Sitka you probably would like Cordova. You can take the ferry from Whittier or Valdez. Or there’s a flight from Anchorage.
The largest city in the USA...by area..which is interesting.
I'm watching this because I've lived here for 3 years and testing myself to know exactly where you are
Ha! How did you do on your test?!

Shhhhhh.....don't tell everyone !
this place also has probably the most mild weather in the state. Of course you can't avoid that winter entirely but it is a matter of scale lol
Do i have to get a car in roaming around the center of Sitka
Not at all. Downtown is easy to navigate by foot.
Hey!! Do you guys have a mailing address you would share? I've come across something that Sherri absolutely needs and I want to send it to her!!! Nevermind! I see it now.
I want to go to go to Sitka so much now...The state of Alaska needs to hire you to promote tourism.
How stupid it was to sell such land!!
Very cringe, nof only believinf that you own an occupied house, but selling the occupied house to another with the shared belief that the transaction was legitimite.
Respect to the Indigenous.
IT GETS YOUR CELL PHONE TIP OR WHAT COMPANY WORKS IN SITKA???
