The overall conclusion to me is work 40 hours!!
The more I did the more I was expected to do. I felt more like a slave than an employee. My boss expected it from me but I did not benefit. I retired last year at 55 after 28 years of service. I’m still recuperating and recovering from the toxic work environment and bullying, harassment and gaslighting. I am a college graduate with a MSA in health administration. I held a certification too but my employer still tortured me. I don’t miss the grind or the abuse. Since I’ve left my employer has hired two full time people to do my job and the department is still behind….. My job is now being performed by five people.
After reading your cry fest, it's easy to see you were the problem. Nobody cares about your degrees Karen. We only care about your ability to do a good job.

No, they have pointless repetitive meetings where they pretend to be men, while the men are getting business taken care of on the golf course.
Tried to explain to a woman (plant supervisor) why one of the million dollar production machines is about to break down. We were warning her two months ago.
It is now busted and she is scrambling to try and get the replacement parts.
So sad what happened to Uncle Bosey, it's just not right.

It’s against the law to pay men more than women for doing the same job. See the Equal Pay Act of (1963.)

Never work more than your allotted hours. The employer will not appreciate it, and will likely expect it as a permanent thing. Maybe, if you're lucky, they might make mouth noises of appreciation but you will never get anything more, and most CERTAINLY not a raise. In fact they will most likely try to not even pay you at all for the extra hours. In addition, the harder you work, the less hard the person next to you works. Work your allotted hours and go home, anything more is a waste of your time.

I remember the last time I quit my job and trained my replacement, his work load was reduced by a third of what was previously mine.

For every dollar a man makes, a woman gets 70 cents for the same job. JK. It's more like 96 cents. And even that disappears if you factor in issues involving pregnancy
