    I use Bose S1-Pro. It may not be a Roland but it is still a Boss. It is loud, versitile, and powerful. Good for busking and small gigs.

    I have played on the street with a Bose S1 with piano. Works really well with vocals and can be heard 4 streets away.

    I'd get a bose system cos I can use it for my TV amplification as well as for gigging. I've used Bose ever since they appeared on the scene and I've never been disappointed. Rock on!

    I've worked with the JBL's,QSC and Bose systems. My experience with JBL is superb with just about all products. A bit more expensive but definitely worth it!... The Bose is really tailored to a vocal and acoustic guitar, low end drops off under 100 Hz. But I think they'd be excellent for a home theater system. QSC is great for the $$.

    • @havenlane992
      @havenlane992 2 роки тому +1

      How do you combine them? One as a monitor and the other to the crowd?

    • @borg386
      @borg386 2 роки тому +3

      @@havenlane992 Yes! Even though you don't really need a monitor with the compact, I've always felt the singer wants to hear " themselves " singing, so I give them the monitor so they have their own personal speaker.
      The s1 pro is hands down the best monitor on the market, and also sounds great on it's own as well.
      But the compact alone is excellent on it's own without a monitor too.
      I use the s1 pro as my primary speaker though because of the Bluetooth, and run a cable to the compact from the s1.
      Sounds amazing!

    Tell you one thing about the bose s1 pro, the Bluetooth range is insane. I got 300 feet out of it on a direct line of sight. Sounded great from that distance as well. Of course I was in a huge 100,000 sq.ft building, but still sounded insanely good. Also Many local bars in my area use the bose l1 compact, and it sounds awesome in every setting.

    I own 2 of the JBL EON ONE PA's for a year now, and I must say, apart from the flawed 10" sub (no coil vents in the magnet, causing the coil to burn on prolonged playing) it's an awesome design......great loud, clean and rich sound. if anybody do own any of these I recommend replacing the sub with the Bazooka 10” 4 ohm Dual Voice Coil Replacement Woofer (WF1042DV)….has the same specs as the JBL sub..... wiring both coils in parallel for an 8ohm load and it plays even better, (more bass). Best JBL EON YET!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!

      My PA rig sounds like poop in the living room. Even with heavy eq it just is not designed for hifi. The HF floods the room and bass is overpowering at 45hz... It is just the wrong tool for the job ... put 100 people in a bar and it sounds great.

      There is a comment above about this combination for living room, apparently it's not good for that, it will flood the room with the whole bunch of high frequencies and a lot of bass but it's just not designed for hi-fi,, but if you put it in the bar with 100 or more people it will sound amazing - that's what they say, and that's what it's for. Plus these units are spreading the signal in 180° direction for all the people in the big place to get the sound - so it's not really designed for home hi-fi system, as far as I understand from all the comments about that. Sorry for my English, - not my native language

    Need some general advice. Could not hear audio properly.
    friend of mine is considering using a PA system hired for music for a charity event of 25 people including Samba Dancers
    They are only familiar with basic sd card played from a portable music system (£100 max price paid), but NOW want better quality and sound.
    Is everything generated via Bluetooth?
    Does it have to be a phone sending the signal, can i player or I pad be used?
    They are nervous about Bluetooth, can a wired system be used with them?
    What else should they ask about?

But after your demo of the JBL EON ONE"-- I'm going to go & demo this..& probably buy 2 of these units instead.. I do like the look of the QSC TOUCH MIX 22 Channel euthanasia the QSC K8.2- 2000 watt..but I want simplicity right at this time as I'm a full time gigging muso..Electric & Acoustic rigs..& I'm hoping I can successfully put my Fender guitars thru this system direct??..& get my sound I need??.. Or o I will continue to use my Fender amps??..& DI into the JBL EON"??.. But I like the set up is Like - 10-15 minutes.. It takes me about 45- 60 minutes to set my rig up now??..& similar times to pull down & more time to bounce out with trolleys of gear, Amps, & guitars.. Etc.. Thank you.. Great review.. 😎🎸🎤🎹🎩👍.. I needed something to power a Hauptwerk digital pipe organ for concerts. I bought two JBL Eon One systems. If they will reproduce a pipe organ in a moderate-sized room oh, they should be good for many applications. I always like two speaker positions , left and right because even when I use digital piano, I like the stereo sound to fill the room. I would also offer the harbinger MLS 900, half the price and a great room filling sound. For my need I would use a subwoofer with the 2 harbingers. However I discovered them after I bought the Eon ones. I think the JBL Eon one will do the job right.

    I've noticed a trend in audio aimed at the consumer home practice market where RMS power is not in the specifications. The up to 11 hour battery life and "with it cranked up bothering the neighbors" are contradictory. Up to 11 hour is at low average power such a spoken word. This would not work at events I take a diesel trailer generator set to run the amp rack. The one speaker he mentioned 105db sound level, but did not specify at what frequency and at what distance. For smaller gig stuff, a Roland CM30 cube has worked well and has a power rating. Hard to compare these with what I have as they are using any specifications which would compare to other small amps. Those small systems simply will not replace the thump of a pair of 15 inch 2 way speakers with 2 and 3 inch voice coils. Did anything he showed have a voice coil larger than 3/4 inch?
