I'd get a bose system cos I can use it for my TV amplification as well as for gigging. I've used Bose ever since they appeared on the scene and I've never been disappointed. Rock on!
I've worked with the JBL's,QSC and Bose systems. My experience with JBL is superb with just about all products. A bit more expensive but definitely worth it!... The Bose is really tailored to a vocal and acoustic guitar, low end drops off under 100 Hz. But I think they'd be excellent for a home theater system. QSC is great for the $$.
@@havenlane992 Yes! Even though you don't really need a monitor with the compact, I've always felt the singer wants to hear " themselves " singing, so I give them the monitor so they have their own personal speaker. The s1 pro is hands down the best monitor on the market, and also sounds great on it's own as well. But the compact alone is excellent on it's own without a monitor too. I use the s1 pro as my primary speaker though because of the Bluetooth, and run a cable to the compact from the s1. Sounds amazing!
I use two JBL EON ONE speakers, with the Yamaha MG16XU mixer. These speakers are way too good, loud, clear and have the perfect amount of bass (neither too less, nor too much).
Tell you one thing about the bose s1 pro, the Bluetooth range is insane. I got 300 feet out of it on a direct line of sight. Sounded great from that distance as well. Of course I was in a huge 100,000 sq.ft building, but still sounded insanely good. Also Many local bars in my area use the bose l1 compact, and it sounds awesome in every setting.
I really enjoy all the reviews I've seen you do. Obviously you want us to buy the product you're reviewing, it's your job but your passion for all things musical really shine through and to me just that fact alone makes me feel I can trust your opinion. I enjoyed your review of Epiphone Prophecy SG very much!! Keep on rocking my rock and roll brother!!!!
I own 2 of the JBL EON ONE PA's for a year now, and I must say, apart from the flawed 10" sub (no coil vents in the magnet, causing the coil to burn on prolonged playing) it's an awesome design......great loud, clean and rich sound. if anybody do own any of these I recommend replacing the sub with the Bazooka 10” 4 ohm Dual Voice Coil Replacement Woofer (WF1042DV)….has the same specs as the JBL sub..... wiring both coils in parallel for an 8ohm load and it plays even better, (more bass). Best JBL EON YET!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!
Hard to imagine any of these little pa systems being loud enough for rock gigs. Maybe a crowd of 50 people at the most. Also, gonna need a mixing board to mic the drums etc...
Great review I will probably go with the Roland or JBL. I must say this with all due reapect reviewer reminded me of Johnny Deep doing Jack Black Sparrow from Pirates movies. Very entertaining. 😂
This is a brilliant and very entertaining video. Thank you so much for doing it. I love Bose but it's a bit pricey please can you do a longer review of the Eon and maybe include the Bose compact' s bigger brother the L1 S1
Loved the knowledgeable imfo thank you ! One question, if i may; You said that you are not a P.A person.. What would you use for great sounding max 30 people party or singing gigs.. Thanks
What are your thoughts on using a PA system for everything? Such as home stereo, Home Entertainment and performing on stage. Using it for a PA system. Thank you so much
My PA rig sounds like poop in the living room. Even with heavy eq it just is not designed for hifi. The HF floods the room and bass is overpowering at 45hz... It is just the wrong tool for the job ... put 100 people in a bar and it sounds great.
@PMTVUK I have a Zoom LiveTrak L-8 mixer and want to start a karaoke business. Can I go small for weddings and smaller parties or do you suggest I go bigger like the Yamaha larger PA systems?
This is a great review. Thanks. I have one (stupid) question. Can you hook any of these to a tv (and how, if you can)? Can you have 5 speakers (+1 or 2 subs) working out of the system or could you with added equipment?
Hi Dagan, could you use a PA set to create a "live enviroment sound" i would love to experience, my jazz records in a more live stage sound and dynamic manner
hello sir, i have bose S1 , if i don.t run on battery , it does not get drained right? i have the unit plugged in all the time. i use battery only once in a while for an hour or so. but then i plug it in . is it fine ?
I have the bose Speakers for 300 people in a crowd. But I am always wondering there are 12 speakers in the tower and the bass stands alone so is this unit Stereo? It's incredibly loud and in small rooms you barely turn the volume up. So question is it stereo.?
There is a comment above about this combination for living room, apparently it's not good for that, it will flood the room with the whole bunch of high frequencies and a lot of bass but it's just not designed for hi-fi,, but if you put it in the bar with 100 or more people it will sound amazing - that's what they say, and that's what it's for. Plus these units are spreading the signal in 180° direction for all the people in the big place to get the sound - so it's not really designed for home hi-fi system, as far as I understand from all the comments about that. Sorry for my English, - not my native language

However I discovered them after I bought the Eon ones. I think the JBL Eon one will do the job right.
I've noticed a trend in audio aimed at the consumer home practice market where RMS power is not in the specifications. The up to 11 hour battery life and "with it cranked up bothering the neighbors" are contradictory. Up to 11 hour is at low average power such a spoken word. This would not work at events I take a diesel trailer generator set to run the amp rack. The one speaker he mentioned 105db sound level, but did not specify at what frequency and at what distance. For smaller gig stuff, a Roland CM30 cube has worked well and has a power rating. Hard to compare these with what I have as they are using any specifications which would compare to other small amps. Those small systems simply will not replace the thump of a pair of 15 inch 2 way speakers with 2 and 3 inch voice coils. Did anything he showed have a voice coil larger than 3/4 inch?
