Actually many Kpop artists do lift weights and try to build up muscles. One reason they stay thin is mainly because of the amount of physical work they do to practice their choreography. Of course, as an idol, they do watch their weight on top of that. The point is, masculinity is not purposely controlled or discouraged.
HongKong guys do have their attractive personalities. I’m a HongKong girl too^^. But I think it’s not fair to compare HK guys from reality and KR guys from kpop and drama, while she’s just focusing on the height and muscles. Maybe it’s better to do this cuz she just came to Korea for few months.
Korean guys are taller than most of Asian countries. That’s true. I’m 6’1 but I could see many people taller than me, which is really different from my experiences in other Asian counties like Japan, China, and most of South Asia.

이 사람은 한국에 사는 호사가인 외국인이라는거 하나만으로 모든걸 다 깨우친 마냥 말함. 현실은 일반인의 미미한 의견일 뿐인데. 이 사람의 성공 배경에는 "외국인 ~~반응" 같은거 좋아하는 한국인들의 맹목적인 호감이 있고, 점점 자신만만해져 아무 말이나 하게되는듯.
