There are too many but my highlights are bánh canh cua (crab noodles) bánh cuốn (vietnamese rice rolls) or bún bò Huế (spicy noodle soup) but I love any dish with the word bánh in front of it 😊
I didn’t expect to like egg coffee at all, but I loved it. For me, of the countries where I have traveled so far, they have the most interesting, creative kinds of coffee drinks. Also, in such a humid climate, how do they get the bread so perfect - crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Yum!
If you're open to it, riding scooter in VN is the way to go. The contrasting feeling of exhilaration while being part of a community of thousands of scooter riders is awesome. Those XO Tour guides are wonderful. Hope you guys are enjoying VN so far.
You two are really lovely and cute. I used all my free time and rest time to watch all the videos on your channel. It is really attractive and helps me relieve all stress and fatigue in work and life. Welcome to our homeland of Vietnam. Street food is a unique cultural feature of Vietnam. Wishing you a wonderful vacation. If you have more time, go along the provinces and cities of Vietnam to enjoy our culture and cuisine❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome video....Did you know that there are over 100 type of noodles dishes in Vietnam? How many will you tried on your trip? One of my favorite is "Bun Bo Hue"...Safety tip...put pickled garlic into your food. There's always a jar of garlic on the tables at almost every restaurants or eating establishments. It helps to keep you from getting sick from food poisoning. Hope you will have a great time in VN and please be safe out there.
So much fun to see you guys in Vietnam! You asked so...find Ms. Ha of Ms. Ha's Guesthouse in CanTho. She's an amazing woman entrepreneur and her 5 am trips to the floating markets are great, her motorcycle trips thru the jungle are amazing and she's an 'insider'. HoiAn: awesome. Try the Hai Yen Hotel great rates w a pool and super location for walk along the river to old town and market. I was incensed one day to see chickens being butchered under the bridge until my husband pointed out...no refrigeration so...on market day... Buy clothes made in a day or two from Kimmy, one of the 500 tailer shops. Blah blah, could go on but you're going to love it 👍👍
Better check out Bánh Mì Huỳnh Hoa and Bún bò Huế Nam Giao, a bit crowed at bánh mì store cause its popuplarity but i guess u guys not gonna regret it anytime soon. Both a bit pricy around 4$+ 🙆
Glad you guys had a good time trying different foods in Vietnam. By the way, what you called morning glory is just a look alike. It's actually water spinach. Here in the states it's called Chinese spinach but we also have it in Vietnam and I know the Philipino people eat this, too. Those two tour guides did a very good job. Have fun traveling.
The best mode of travel in Asia is through scooters...and to combine food tour with scooter should've been fun... Rush hour with organized chaos is so symbolic as well...street food is the best food as well.... PS: I know you record this week's ahead but I will still take credit for the food tour idea from my previous video comment 😂😅
That's right but Sarah sounded like "fwah." It also seemed like she was uncomfortable with all the new foods but trying to put on a good face. I remember seeing an interview from a retired UA-camr saying one time he ate a lot of food he was allergic to because food videos get a lot of views.
Correction: Vietnam wasn't colonized by the French for over 100 years. The French began to attack Vietnam in 1857 but did not take control of the country until late 1880s. The French was defeated in 1954. Even from the time the French started to attack Vietnam to the time it was defeated still less than 100 years. Basically only around 7 decades of French rule.
HI....Eric AND Sarah....WELCOMME..TO VIỆT NAM...HOW LONG.YOUR GUYS. STAY..THERE....AND HOW ABOUT..VIỆTNAMESE FOODS..PLEASE...MAKE A COMMENT....THANK YOU FOR SHARING...VIDEO CLIP...
Egg coffee tastes more like egg nog with coffee as they have similar ingredients - egg yolk, vanilla extract. Affogato is just espresso and ice cream, doesn't have any egg ingredient. I think most Westerners (not you guys) think egg coffee is raw egg, whip cream and coffee and are immediately confused and turned off by it, but really it's no different than egg nog - a dessert like drink that many people in the West love. Just mixed with coffee, which enhances it even more, similar approach that Italians had with Affogato, just a different flavor profile. I always say you have to trust countries like Italy, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, India, France, Mexico etc with their weird dishes because they have already established themselves as highly competent and innovative cooks and they got there by experimenting a lot.
As a Vietnamese, it’s sad to admit that Vietnam is a third world slum country and will remain a third world slum country for generations to come. Just look at the wet market which remains the same for over 200 years without any improvement.
Chợ truyền thống của nước tao là vậy đấy. Còn các Trung tâm Thương Mại, các siêu thị không thiếu. Mày đừng nhận là người Việt Nam, Việt Nam của tao không có loại người như mày.
What’s your favourite Vietnamese dish?? 🇻🇳

Wow! We had no idea. Pickled garlic is sooo good. I didn't know that helped against food poisoning! Thanks for the tip. And thanks for watching!
I am drooling watching you enjoying the Vietnamese food
Nice one !! I love that Sarah doesn't like seafood but get to taste everything !!
Thanks Julie! Yeah, the food was so good - even the seafood
Can't wait to see where else you're going in Vietnam. Enjoy!

XO tours seems to be always fun.
One of the herbs that you thought similar to Cilantro is actually Eryngium foetidum - Culantro; Ngo Gai is the Vietnamese name for it.
The ever-smiling be-dimpled Sarah
Nice episode, the food looks amazing!
Vietnamese food is AMAZING 🤤
Wauu amazing Vietnamese food tour my friend
Cảm ơn các bạn đã đến đất nước VN chúng tôi yêu các bạn
It's the sauce that makes the seafood better.
One of the best countries! Great video.

The way Sarah pronounces pho makes me 😂
You mean the correct pronunciation? 😉 It’s meant to sound like “fuh”, not “foe”

VN have no drinking ages. Just drinking responsibly.😊
My secret to feeding people snails is don't tell them what it is, get rid of the shells, and mix with something like an omelet. It's just ham, lol.
XIN CHÀO ANH BẠN !!! TÔI CÓ THỂ GIÚP GÌ ĐƯỢC CHO ANH BẠN??? 😁😂😂😂
Bạn là người rất tuyệt vời,mong bạn hãy quảng bá Việt Nam ra thế giới, vì thế giới chỉ biết Việt Nam qua chiến tranh.. thanks bạn..
You suppose to mix the egg foam and coffee then drink. Hope you have a good trip
