I'm a "seasoned" INTP, and I've had ample time to reflect on a significant data set, time enough to identify patterns and form theories about how feels work. Of course, I must begin with my pinned disclaimer...I can only speak for myself, asterisk, etc... It seems that serious reflection on what influenced us as children, prior to our ability to reason critically, is a crucial component of emotional maturity. This is true of humans generally, yes? Weirdly, I think that INTPs are actually better equipped than most other types to make that effort honestly and thoroughly. All we have to do is genuinely accept that it's worth the commitment. Again, probably true of everybody in varying degrees, more true of people who grew up in "problematic circumstances." My INTP-specific take: The simplest explanation to our excruciatingly slow and painful emotional experience is obvious, once you hear it. We lead with Ti, so in new experiences with new people, we are sucking in information. By the time we've gathered "enough" data and analyzed it and spotted patterns and formed working theories with our Ne, we are neck-deep in a thing, or the thing is already too far gone to salvage. So yeah, it must seem like delayed reaction to a lot of types, because yeah...it is. The hardest part of INTP emotions is that because we have such a thorough observation/analysis process, we have a sense that our feels are justified. We can get a bit righteous about a thing if we don't deliberately check our perspective. One of my pet phrases is - I'm a big pain in the ass when I know I'm right.
I often make sure to empathize that I’m a well developed or “seasoned” intp This was all worded perfectly. Especially the paragraph about delayed reactions.
I'm an INTP who is on the autism spectrum. However, my cognitive function stack is a bit lopsided with my Fi actually being stronger than my Fe. Even so, my Ti, Ne and Si are my strongest functions so I think I'm likely more INTP than INFP. Ne is really my only strong extroverted function regardless.
Same 😅. Why are we like this? it's confusing 🤦. My Ti and Fi are kinda equally vying for control. My Fi seems to be filtered through my Ti more than my Ti being dulled or controlled by my Fi though. Is there a possible spectrum between INFP and INTP? If so then I am exactly in the middle of it.
Just recently took the test, it say I'm INTP, but I still can't be sure, since then I've spent hours trying to find info about INTPs and even though I feel called out for A LOT of these things. I still can't be sure, but binging these videos has helped. Maybe it's confirmation, idk. Sounds like me but could be confirmation bias. Ugh
Same. I'm unable to answer questions on a lot of tests because I can't understand what they mean. And now I'm struggling to figure out if I am an INTP or not.
whom is more intellegent intjs or intps? A. Definitely intjs they are the master planners. B. Probably intjs becuase they sometimes miss the information. C. I don't know both are quite intellectual. D. Probably intps becuase they sometimes don't make decision when needed. E. Definitely intps they are the free spirits. F. When it comes to intelligence it depends on the individual.
I did a test, and turns out I am intp. But, when I checked, my cognitive functions were Fi , ti, se, ni. But I'm still an intp though? Can someone explain this to me? Thanks :)
Se > Ni means you are a xSxP type. So if Se is over Ni, you are either an ESFP, ISFP, ESTP and ISTP. Ni > Se users include INFJ, INTJ, ENTJ and ENFJ, because xNxJ. And INTP has Ne as their secondary function, because: 1. P = extroverted perceving function, 2. Intuition and 3. Ixxx makes the dominant function introverted, and xxTP types have introverted thinking. The way you talk doesent sound very Ti tho, more in line with Fi. So since the anwsers said ''Fi - Ti - Se - Ni'' ISFP makes the most sense, if we disgard Ti. If you use Ti more then Fi then you are an ISTP. but then again, tests arent that viable
This is going to be highly subjective: As the type shows, ENTPs are more outgoing in general because their first function is extraverted, moreover even their Fe is still teritary, its still higher up than in the case of INTP, where it is inferior. Moreover, they are more prone to exchanging ideas rapidly (Dominant Ne) and have a more balanced Ti. In my opinion, ENTPs can move on in life a bit quicker, because their inferior Si won't bother them, however, at the same time it might involve the fact that they tend to be less trustworthy.
My experiences with my intp friends wasn't really great, they make you angry or they ignore you then they act like that never happened. And when you tell them, they try to make you feel sad and play with your feelings. That's that's my opinion about intps:")
I mean... tbh as an INTP we sometimes feel bad for the other person but we just decide to ignore it so we don't make it worse, conflict is disturbing, most of the times we don't really mean to be rude, but it's just like they say "data doesn't care about your feelings".

Yes but it is interesting how nuts they are

I say that as MBTI is a personality typing, not a measure of intelligence.

ENTP - Ne - Ti - Fe - Si
