Love the videos, I left a comment not long ago about getting into breeding. So far had 3 spawns. Not many fertile but have a few fry left. For the next spawn (they are about to spawn now) I have lowered the tds to 77
77 is perfect, keep an eye on the pH @ 5.5 the male becomes infertile and cant fertilize the eggs! Im excited for your journey, PLEASE keep me updated.
I don't measure in Tds, but 40-80 microsiemens is approximately 28-56 tds range, you don't have to nail it but the closer the better. The will breed in 170 but the hatch rate will be low due to the calcium and magnesium in the water, the quick calcification of the egg does not allow the male to fertilize the egg in time unless he is really fast at getting down to business Steve Heller
Lots of info in this video! Thanks very much for sharing!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you and your support!
Great video! I have 5 pairs sitting on eggs right now. I value your wisdom in this area.
That is awesome. I appreciate your kind words 🙏
So much knowledge transferred - food, fat/protein, calcium, rain, pH ⬆ thank you!
I really appreciate your support, The original video was 2 hours long, so much work but I'm loving it!
