Thanks for the advice 👍✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸🙏
Nice
I ordered two of these feeders on a Black Friday sale on Amazon. I am so glad to hear that this is one of your favorites. Can’t wait for the new foods! My discus love them!!
Wish I had access to your foods but im in europe. Love your videos ❤
Nice!
Awesome job thank you for all the r&d My fish are loving all the foods Very excited for the new products coming, I have 60 tetras in quarantine and they absolutely love the micro pellet and they have put on amazing size within 1 month
Heya mate, love ya vids. I asked to purchase fulvic gold from ya tho unfortunately ya cant send to oz. Ive found 50% fulvic powder extract and was wondering what to dilute it down to. Does your fulvic have a particular % active fulvic? Many thanks
Hey @SickDiscus, thank you so much for the kind words and for supporting my videos-it really means a lot! I understand the challenge of sourcing products internationally, and I appreciate you looking into alternatives. The Fulvic Gold I offer was created by a chemical engineer, and I personally tested it in my tanks for over a year to make sure it was safe and effective, especially for sensitive fish like discus. Unfortunately, I can’t give advice on the product you’ve found since I didn’t create it, I just tested it. Fulvic acid can vary a lot depending on how it’s made, so I’d recommend reaching out to the supplier or manufacturer for guidance on dilution and use in aquariums. I wish I could be more help, but I want to make sure you and your fish stay safe. If you have any other questions or need support, I’m always happy to chat! P.S. There is a fulvic product that i did get inspiration from and it came from Europe, that is how I was introduced to Fulvic Acid! I can do some research if you would like but it has been a couple of years and i don't remember the name of the company! Cheers, Steve
@shelleraquatics many thanks Steve 🙏 totally understand where ya coming from. Since seeing ur videos on fish room tested fulvic results, ive done my best to research and test myself. So far ive been soaking all food and also adding ur dose roughly to pre treat water some hydroponic fulvic, (brand name growth technologies, product gt fulvic if interested) for about 2 months. Honestly, i havent noted a difference really tho my fish are quite fat n healthy 🤞 only complaint is the reds and wilds have faded colour substantially for 6 months now. They have been on a verandah however, exposed to alot of ambient non direct sunlight while im building my breeding room and ive kinda put it down to that. Ill continue my research and testing as i believe its worthy. Although, if ur supplier or it says on the bottle the % of active fulvic, that would be a big help. Many thanks, keep the vids coming 🙏❤️🐠
I just notice one if my doscus out if 6 has gill flukes and i see its using one gill.. its the new one… planning to treat the entire tank.. is itnok to treat gill flukes along with metronidazole?
Do not mix meds if pure, most of the products sold in the stores have salt so they can get away with mixing meds. Makes the meds less effective but very profitable for these corporations. Shareholders want profits they don't care about the fish at all. They do not keep aquariums
@ got it . Thank you for the reply.. are the gill flukes contagious? Will aquarium salt help!? im planning to start my metronidazole from tomorrow and for 10days. I will treat gill flukes later . Will that be ok
Salt will help!
Loved this and wow! The amount of work you put in is just nuts with the water changes and daily monitoring I am amazed at the simplicity of your success but now realize that it really only works with the work ethic to back it up
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment it means everything, it's easy when it's work you love!
One of discus not eating. Its been 3 days . No symptoms. Advise pls
Heat and Salt or erythromycin, eliminate bacterial and fungal for 3 days
Where is the planted Discus tank setup that was in your title page?
That was a long time ago, I breed discus for profit, I don't have time to keep a planted aquarium, 5 kids adopted, 3 businesses and a UA-cam channel. That's 16 hours a day 5 days a week. I used to have a 425 gallon planted discus tank but did not enjoy the maintenance.
Thank you for the great tour and info
I appreciate your support and feedback 🙏
Great video and nice looking fish!
Thanks 😊
I watched a youtube video from Dan’s Fish regarding fulvic acid. He was interviewing Dr Faust the inventor of BioAg. He was recommending a higher dose in the water column (1/2 gallon for every 100 gallons). Your dosage is significantly lower. Thoughts?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the information from Dan’s Fish video. We truly value hearing about different approaches and perspectives in the aquarium community. Our recommended dosage of fulvic acid is based on extensive research and two years of personal testing in our own fishroom. This careful evaluation has allowed us to identify a dosage that is both effective and safe for the well-being of your fish. It's worth noting that while other experts may suggest alternative dosages, our guidelines aim to strike a balance-delivering the benefits of fulvic acid without risking the delicate stability of your aquatic environment. Higher concentrations may not always result in greater benefits and could lead to unintended complications.
I just saw this on a European website, AquaWildLife Aps aquawildlife.com › shop › fulvic-acids-25c1 We advice to add at least 1 to 5ml per 100 liters of aquarium water weekly for efficacy. About 26 gallons U.S.
Is the "cool" fish food making process the same as what Direct Brine Shrimp does?
Yes, they are in the next county over from me! They have been my inspiration for all my foods. I try to source all my foods in the U.S, I believe it is better quality but more expensive. I cannot in good faith buy from China with human rights being trampled and slave labor. Unfortunately we do not really produce containers like jars, bottles and bags with any consistency but hopefully that will change soon! 😤 walking a tight rope.
Once your discus have spawned and have fry do you keep adding RO water or do you slowly add tap water to raise the tds. I’ve heard the young don’t grow well in water with low tds. My plan is to keep the fry with the parents for 2 weeks in RO then switched to pure tap and separate the fry. Thanks!
I definitely switch them out as soon as they leave the parents. It's true they grow better with solids but the main reason is cost. RO is very wasteful so the tool is used sparingly. Great question and comment.
@@shelleraquaticsThankyou, I appreciate all your videos. They are very helpful

Thank you 😊
Your fish food is more like fish crack! The discus love it!! I can’t wait to try this. Already ordered.
Thank you!
I definitely need me some of this, my small discus like the flakes and the vibrabites. They are picky eaters. they also love algae. Lots of it. ima have to snag some more of the gold liquid. I see a deference in my discus, the older ones.
Thank you so much for the love and support, @sunbear76re! 🎉 It's amazing to hear how your discus are thriving and loving the variety you’re giving them. Small discus can definitely be picky eaters, but it sounds like you've got them dialed in with what they enjoy! 🐟💚 The fact that you're seeing a difference in your older discus with the Amazon gold is exactly why I love sharing these products! Fulvic acid is a game changer, isn’t it? It helps with color, vitality, and overall health-it’s like a little golden magic for your tank! 🌟✨ I’d love to hear how your discus progress-maybe even see some photos if you’re up for sharing. And when you're ready to snag some more Amazon Gold you know where to find it! (Its Free for a limited time with a 30.00 order)Thank you again for being part of this journey, and here’s to even happier, healthier discus! 🙌🐠 #DiscusLife

@@shelleraquatics 🙏 yes it’s a lot of commitment and dedication No matter how much backup plans you make You are only one person and try to relax once in a while and look back what you have accomplished 👍 Great work you do but relax more I’m in Canada so I can’t really buy stuff from you but 👍✌️🇨🇦
I'm working on getting into 🇨🇦 with my products 😬
This exact scenario happened to me last week luckily apex alerted me and the salt erythromycin combination cleared all noticeable infections in 48hrs thank you again for making this stuff available definitely helped me last week sir!!
Hey Branden, thanks for sharing that! I’m so glad to hear that the salt and erythromycin combo worked out well for you and that Apex had your back with the alert. Those unexpected tank issues can be a real heart-stopper, and it’s good to know you were able to catch it in time and see results so quickly. Comments like yours mean a lot-hearing that something I’ve shared actually helped in a real situation makes this all worth it. Thanks for the feedback, and I’m always here if you need anything.
Great video.
Thanks!
The fulvic acid, aquarium salt, I was able to see a difference in just colors with my discus. Also notice a difference in doing tannins in the water. just these things help the healing and help them naturally. Kinda mocks natural water conditions. I wanna get the med kit soon and try it out. just to have on deck.
Hey @sunbear76re! That’s awesome to hear-adding fulvic acid, salt, and tannins really can bring out those vibrant colors and support the natural healing process. It’s great that you're noticing the difference; it’s amazing how close we can get to replicating their natural Amazonian conditions just with those additions. Having a med kit on hand is a smart idea, too-being prepared makes all the difference when unexpected issues pop up. Thanks for sharing your experience, and I’m glad you’re seeing results!
Our city did a water system flush didn't inform me and it killed over 1800 worth of Discus including my newly formed Albino turq pair that where huge and healthy. It almost makes me want to sell everything and be done.
I'm really sorry to hear about your loss; I know firsthand how devastating something like this can be. Years ago in California, I lost 60 tanks of fish in a similar way due to an auto water change system. That experience was a huge lesson, and since then, I've been aging my water to prevent anything like it from happening again. I totally understand the feeling of wanting to just walk away, but if you can, take a break, store your tanks, and give yourself some space. It’s hard to imagine now, but you’ll be glad you held onto them later.
I had something similar happen to me where I lost all my stock on a move. don’t give up!! sometimes the ugly makes us not wanna keep going but it’s why we get better at this hobby. ima start aging my water soon to avoid that scenario.
@@shelleraquaticswhat do you mean aging, storing containers and just letting them sit covered?like in a 5gallon jug??
Yes
That's awful. Is there anyway you can pre test water before you use it? Was it just chlorine?
Thankyou sir regards from Oman
Thank you for your support and positive thoughts 🙏
How do you get your discus use to the bell? Is there a method to training them with the bell? I have wild 2.5 that are skittish with just the light, they are slowly getting use to the light now after a week but the bell just kinda scares them.
Every fish in my fish room uses the bell, Discus, Angels, Rainbowfish. Guppies, cory cats. Even all my plecos suck on the bell! I have sold over 200 of them and you are the first person that has had this issue. I think just keep introducing it, if it doesn't work I will refund your money.👍 Try sticking a blackworm cube against the glass, if they don't attack it you may have a problem with something internally. If they attach the blackworm on the glass then stuff it in the bell, they will be looking for the bell all the time.
@ awesome thanks for the feedback back, I’ll keep at it and keep trying, they are just so skittish, they freak themselves out. I got couple of Heckel cross, red alenquers, wild blue rim mix. All 2.5 -14 in a 40 grow out. I’ll dose some meds rn and see where this goes. I’ll keep you posted because it is interesting if they don’t touch due to maybe a parasite or bacterial sickness. First day they had a swim bladder issue, second week with them. Finally use to light and daily water changes. Just won’t eat. They pick at algae and food but spit it out.
@sunbear76re - I highly recommend erythromycin/salt for 3-4 days first, with the information you provided it would be my go to.. If you have access depending on where you are in the world
Hey brother! Hope you are doing well! Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge, we all benefit on videos like this. Couple of things from my experience in regards to this video: 1. I have a 10 gallon QT tank myself, I like it around a 10 gallon because the discus won't stay in there for long and I don't have to spend that much on meds 2. If the discus aren't eating and you believe it's HIT or proto issue and give metro, I noticed that you really need to up the temp to 90 to 94 for the metro to be effective. Once they start eating, you can lower the temp and have metro in the food 3. I like to double up on the medication meaning having 2 medications at the same time, I know people don't do this and that's ok it's just me. For example I will do a levi + metro at the same time, praq + metro, Metro + Ethro, etc. 4. I noticed levi increasing the shyness or spooks the discus. Not sure why. I noticed it many times, and 2 of my discus that were beautiful specimens died in the night when i heard them bang into the glass during a levi treatment. I thought it was just me but after doing a google search I noticed others experienced this as well. 5. I like using flubendzole (pardon the spelling) instead of levi. I noticed during a fluben treatment, the discus aren't flighty, they seem to be good after just a 4 day treatment. I seen it kill flukes easily as well. I use this once every 2-3 months 6. Stringy white poop is super hard to diagnose if you don't have a microscope. It can be a bacteria, parasite or worms. I hate having to deal with discus that has stringy white poop. 7. I had the same experience as you in regards to stress making the discus sick. Put some small discus that has done well in a bare bottom tank into my planted tank with high light and in just 3-4 days that same discus started hiding in a corner + white poop + not eating. FYI - For those in your last video saying don't use beefheart, I can also attest to breeders in malayasia, china, usa, and european, austrialian breeders use beefheart. I only know of 2 well known breeders who don't use beefheart and use some tuna, clam, mussels, etc variant. Unless someone finds a better and close to cheaper alternative, it's the only real way that is proven to get your discus up to size.
Hey @the_DOS, thanks so much for sharing your experience and insights! This kind of detailed feedback is pure gold for everyone in the community, especially those who are newer to discus care. I really appreciate you highlighting your approach-there’s so much value in hearing how other experienced hobbyists manage treatment protocols. You've got some great points here: Totally agree on the smaller QT tank. A 10-gallon setup makes sense for quick treatments, and it’s definitely more efficient on meds, especially when they’re only in there for a short time. Excellent tip on raising the temperature with metro! Pushing it up to 90-94°F really can make a difference for effectiveness. I’ve noticed the same, and as you said, once they’re back to eating, it’s easier to drop the temp and incorporate metro into the food. Doubling up on medications is an approach I’ve heard about and seen used by others too. Having a tailored combination like levi + metro or prazi + metro can really be a game-changer depending on the symptoms. Interesting point about levamisole causing spookiness. I’ve had similar experiences with it, but it’s helpful to hear others are noticing it too-always looking for ways to minimize stress during treatments. Flubendazole as an alternative is a great idea, especially if it seems to be less stressful on the fish. Thanks for suggesting it as a fluke treatment with less impact on their behavior. You’re spot-on about the frustration with stringy white poop. Without a microscope, it can be a guessing game since it could indicate a range of issues. Definitely one of the tougher aspects of discus care. The planted tank stress example resonates. Sometimes, the change in environment is enough to set off symptoms, even if they were healthy in the bare-bottom setup. And thank you for backing up the beefheart discussion. You’re right-many respected breeders worldwide rely on it because it’s effective for growth and conditioning. Until there’s a similarly affordable and proven alternative, it’s going to remain a go-to staple for a lot of discus keepers. Again, thank you for the detailed comment-it’s truly valuable to hear this firsthand experience. Looking forward to more discussions like this!
@@shelleraquatics Thank you for responding and providing your thoughts! Have a great weekend!!
Agree with you totally that AT LEAST 80% of the time it's NOT parasites, but I would say the 80% of that 80% it's a water issue vs lighting
Totally agree with you, @pantherlax23! Water quality issues are by far the biggest culprit when discus aren’t doing well, way more often than parasites or lighting issues. Keeping water conditions stable makes a huge difference for their health. Great point!
I use Hikari Micro Wafers, Seachem Cichlid flakes, Northfin Mass Carnivore Sinking Pellets and bloodworms. Occasional extras of brine cubes and bug bites.
Great mix of foods, @Blakrex! Hikari Micro Wafers, Seachem Cichlid flakes, and Northfin Mass Carnivore Pellets offer an excellent range of nutrients for your discus, and bloodworms add a nice protein boost. The extras like brine shrimp and bug bites are fantastic for variety too-they help keep discus engaged and provide a more balanced diet. Keep up the great work! 👏

Hey I had a doubt about my breeding pair... So currently they are on the metro treatment with salt should I do the levamisole and prazi treatment too and if so what is the dosage in grams as I cant get your med kit where I live so I'll have to go with tablets and this is just pre medication before they get into breeding as i dont want the fry gettinf sick. Thanks in advance
Thank you for reaching out, and I'm glad to hear you're being proactive in preparing your breeding pair! For pre-treatment, a combination approach that covers a broad spectrum of potential parasites and bacteria is generally beneficial. Typically, I recommend starting with metro and salt, as these address common bacterial concerns. After allowing the fish a rest period, I introduce treatments for internal and external parasites to ensure the breeding pair is as healthy as possible. That said, it’s essential to use medications with known purity and concentration. Many commercial products have added fillers or combine treatments, which can make dosages less predictable and potentially risky. With my own products, I can ensure 99.9% purity, but dosages based on this level of concentration might not apply to other formulations, making it ineffective and, most importantly, irresponsible to recommend these dosages in cases where the concentration is unknown. If you'd like, feel free to share the products you're using, and I can look into their potency and perhaps offer some guidance. Also, let me know what country you're in, as I may be able to suggest locally available options. Thanks again for your comment! I'm here if you have any further questions.
@@shelleraquatics Okay so as of now I've done 4 treatments of metro and salt every 12 hrs and next i want to do a prazi treatment and a pp bath to finish it off the prazi tablet available is a dog dewormer and it contains 0.5 gms (50 mg) of prazi per tablet and i'm treating a 20 gallon tank And this tablet also contains 0.02 gm (2mg) of ivermectin and i genuinely wish i had your med kit it would make things so much easier maybe i can ask my aunt to get it when she comes from the states also while i'm at it let me just add i'm not able to find fulvic acid but i found that they sell 80% fulvic acid powder could i use that maybe a gram in 20 gallons and add a few drops to my discus tank? also thanks alot for all the information, your channel is a gold mine and has helped me alot
@@shelleraquatics also would love to share a video of the breeding pair in case i'm not able to see something your eyes might be able to catch if that's possible please do let me know and feel free to say no.... Thanks in Advance also I'm from India but the tablets that Google shows are not available in my local medical stores.
Steve you have knocked it out the park once again with this one. 😮😮 Most Discus keepers will not discuss this publicly but kudos to those that will. You are the man. 😊
I appreciate You!

Thank you!
One of your most important videos! Thanks! I've been working a lot and no time to participate here with my comments and questions... today I worked only half day. Ha! In my case, planing to get 3 or more medium sized wild discus for my Altum 210 gallon system, for example, I think I would have a 75gallon system as the quarantine system running, and treat the fish systematically in smaller tanks, returning them to the 75gallon after each treatment for a total 6 month period. Please let me know what do you think? The same happens here... I just can't risk my Altums, besides having to treat a 220 gallon with lots of medicine. The low light is so very important!!!! I've noticed that is also true to my wild Altums as well. Best light is still the old fluorescent lamp, not LEDs! It's a huge factor for their health IMO! Also, to leave some nice shaded area for them as a refuge. Natural ambient light is the best in most cases. Imperative for their health!! I have my lights on only for about 7 to 8 hours a day. The less light the better is for their health. I'm sure the same happens with discus. One side note in the subject of adaptation to the aquarium life... I don't swallow some of theories of getting wild angelfish or discus to adapt to "tap water" in any means. I understand that they are able to well support the changes in a long run, but I don't believe they are able to change their core in their genetics to solidify that adaptation and therefore it is one of the reasons why we see their vulnerability to any drastic changes and stress. Their immune system depends on how strong they are due to the environmental conditions, period. If their genes were built to be alive in such harsh conditions (for example the strong acidic pH they are originally found in the Amazon), why not skip all adaptation processes for our comfort, of using "tap water" (by the way, the term "tap water" is so relative around the world. Inconsistent term to say the least!), and use RO and everything else to resemble their original environment the best we can, right? I know that production of fish (the breeding process), and the aspect of selling them to the the general public depends on those easier abilities to maneuver the business, and I'm not judging that, but I still think the very best way to keep these organisms is to resemble their natural habitat. The pH, temperature, and conductivity are some of the most important aspects we know about the water in their natural habitats. I believe that when we offer such conditions to any generation of these fishes they will do better. It's the same as food in my opinion. That's why I love when you talk about the REAL FOOD you give them!! All aspects contribute to the long run and mainly the health of these animals. It's very hard to believe that their genes are able to shift to what we want to offer in any of those parameters. Of course we have more to add like the trace elements, humic acid, fulvic acid, as you have been explaining. I would love to hear more from you about that subject. I have some notes about how to use the medicines... would love to have a clear vision in practical way to treat wild discus with the systematic levamisole/ metronidazole/ praziquantel treatments, with the proper intervals and everything.. So much to learn! Thanks again!!!!!
"Thanks so much, Alex! I'm really glad you found the video helpful. It sounds like you're putting a lot of thought and care into your setup with the Altums and wild discus, and your quarantine approach is spot-on, especially with a dedicated 75-gallon system. That six-month period sounds ideal for ensuring any new fish are fully adapted and healthy before they go into your main tank. Totally agree on the lighting-keeping it low is key for these wild species to feel at home, and natural ambient light is perfect for their health. And I completely agree about the water parameters; there's no real replacement for mimicking their natural environment as closely as possible. Using RO water and adjusting trace elements is a great way to give them what they need. Love hearing that you’re committed to real food and high water quality for them-those details make all the difference in the long run. Let me know if you'd like any further insights on the systematic treatments; I'd be happy to help! Thanks again for your comment!"
@@shelleraquatics Thank you so much! Yes, I do understand some things about each treatment independently, but would be amazing if you could make a video explaining each treatment in order, with a practical view, including explaining the time frame of the intervals and observations in regards to each case. Everything well defined and clear, as you always do. A complete video as the major reference about the procedures of the 3 treatments you mentioned for a quarantine setup for multiple wild discus. Perhaps using a major setup as the "resting tank", as I suggested, between treatments and using separate smaller tanks for the sake of better ability with the meds. So many variables in regards to discus alone... like limitations of numbers of fish per treatment in the same tank/ gallons, minimum number of fish to acquire in order to avoid any stress in the long run (I know this subject alone would probably call for a video in itself), observations in order to know when treatment is not needed, if so, etc... You could also compare in the same video the differences between treating wild and domestic discus, for example. Always great to learn here! Thanks again!!!
Great honesty 👍✌️🇨🇦 going to look for sales on q tank 👍
Cool 👍Thank you so much, I truly appreciate your feedback!
Awesome. Thanks for the video.

Great information in the video. Thank you
Thank you for your support 🙏
I’ve had numerous spawns from my pairs with over 90% hatch rates with a PPM of 100. It’s the GH and Mainly the KH you want low. The KH is what calcifies the eggs.
Osmotic Pressure Minerals create osmotic pressure and increase relative density, which is why you float in saltwater and sink in freshwater. The osmotic pressure created by the minerals in the water will make the eggs calcify. When there are higher levels of minerals in your water, the pressure outside the eggs is less than the pressure inside the eggs. As a result, the Osmotic pressure draws the liquid from the discus egg, and the discus egg becomes calcified. KH neutralizes acids in the water, which prevents pH from suddenly dropping and or having major fluctuations in pH. Try an EC meter, microsiemens is a much more accurate measurement.
How would I go about seeing your fish and possibly make a purchase? Do you have an online site?
I do not, I am breeding wild and f1 stock as we speak and my strains will be available in the Spring of 2025, I will announce it on my channel when and how to purchase these fish, stay tuned!
@@shelleraquatics I look forward to it!
Very interesting. I do see more growth on the BF mix as well. But it's a pain to make and expensive to get shipped next day delivery. I might try the yellow fin tuna mix and see what happens there. People have been using the Sera growth granules but i don't see that much difference when I use it and I use it 6x a day. I think juveniles need more fat than protein that's why they do so well on the beefheart imo. I have been trying a few types of food so far but still none of them are better than BH. Freeze dry blackworms are ok but they cost a lot as well and not worth it + your discus start to only eat them. I just ordered some "kens blackworm pellets" so we'll see how that does. Looking forward to see some more of these types of testing.
Beefheart is definitely a proven option, though I know posting about it on social media can stir up debate-which I actually enjoy. Currently, I'm developing an affordable beefheart mix that's in the final stages of production, designed specifically to balance nutrients while maintaining quality. When it comes to fish protein, I suggest trying shorter-lived sea fish, as they generally have lower heavy metal content compared to longer-lived species, making them safer and healthier for long-term feeding. As for Sera granules, they’re decent, but I see them more as a filler feed for young adults and adults-useful in rounding out the diet, but not something I'd rely on as a primary food source. Blackworms are a great choice but are becoming scarce in America and have become quite expensive. I’ve been testing earthworms and other types of worms with some pretty amazing results, and I'm actively working on developing these as a viable food option." Thank you for your amazing comment, I love when I get these engaging, thoughtful, well thought out comments. I can always tell when I get these responses that your are someone I could sit down with and have a meaningful discussion and even disagree with each other but learn from you. Thank you again, Steve Heller
@@shelleraquatics Thank you for your kind words and indeed we would have a very meaningful conversation in real life! I have many ideas and opinions , as I know for sure you do, on discus. Things that may get other people upset, however, I believe we should all test out our theories than listen to the passed down folklore. For example, I am not in the camp of 10 gallons per discus, 50% water changes two times a week, stunting due to hormones, etc. We should all test these theories which I have concluded in my own experiences, are not factual. However, I would like others to test it as well and maybe we can all learn from each other. I think everyone would be very interested in your beefheart mix that's affordable. That's the big problem with beefheart, either shipping is expensive or it's just a pain to make. I agree with you on the Sera granuales. I am looking to see if one day, I can find a mix of affordable food, that can get the juveniles up to size very quick. One of my youtubers say the tetra food works great and they will post a video soon on their growth from juvenile by using only tetra color bits. I tried this exact same food and my fish were stunted. So I'm not sure how he got them to grow fast. Looking forward to your testings and food mix development!
Great video
