For those who can't hear: this bird is fantastic!! Usually parrots sound either a bit raspy or chirpy when they say human words, but Einstein speaks SO clearly, she sounds really human and it's amazing!! Normally, I put closed captions on when I'm watching bird videos just to help me understand them better, but I don't need it for Einstein's videos.
African greys have voices the closest to people. They are the best at mimicking all different sounds, even something far away, they can copy the far away part-(where it's quiet)
@@einsteinparrot I've watched a lot of bird videos and this Einstein talks very clear and has a large vocabulary. Was that the Andy Griffith theme song? Lol. Adorable!
@@superpsyched5624 Yep-that was Andy's theme. lol Have you seen any videos when he deliberately sounds like he's talking with his mouth full? I think that's my favorite one he does 'cause it's such a random thing to imitate.
He could say "look at you, you're all wet" 80,000 times in a row and I would laugh every time. It is just my favorite and considering I love EVERYTHING he says, that is a high compliment.
My brother and I have loved Einstein for years. One year, I got my brother a Christmas ornament that was an ear of corn because of our love for Einstein.
These parrots are amazing. I have an african grey and she was watching this video. She said "your so cute" and laughed. Then said "its a birdie". We enjoyed your video Einstein. I absolutely love these parrots.
That level of mimicry is incredible. You can clearly understand most things she says, you can even pick out the American accent which I found pretty funny. Her memory is also incredible to remember all those words and sounds and even say them in the right order. If they didn’t live so long I’d love one as a pet, they seem like incredible, highly intelligent creatures.
I know, right? I used to watch other videos of domestic birds...till I found Einstein. And then I never went back--there is no other bird on UA-cam that speaks as articulately as Einstein, or that even has such a large vocabulary & at least a basic understanding of much of what he says.
@@manojreddy123 They can outlive their owner. Their owner feels like family to them. Parrots are very social birds and don't like being alone very much. It would be a major adjustment to a new owner. It's almost like they think they're human! 😊🤗
I am laughing so hard at yall’s conversation at the end! So cute🤣 “go see Jeff?” “Jeff’s not home” “be quiet. Go see Jeff?” Lololol he doesn’t take no for an answer!
I just played this video for Tasha my African Grey and she loved it! She was watching so intently and made a laughing sound a few times. Super cute. :)
My gray loves it as well. He chimes right in and it keeps him mesmerized. There are several phrases he says that Einstein says. Maybe he'll learn more from Einstein! When he's really quiet listening to something that means he's interested enough to learn it
I also like the "you alright?" and the space ship sounds. This is such a stress reliever for me. He sure makes you smile when you have had a bad day! LOVE HIM!
How on earth do parrots remember all the things they've heard so accurately and then bring them up much later. And no other creature can "talk" just exactly like a human, though without lips, tongue, teeth, etc. needed to make those sounds! It's a natural mystery...
ytcarol Instead of a larynx with vocal chords, parrots/birds have a syrinx, a distended portion of the trachea. In the wall of the syrinx are two thin, oval membranes that vibrate and produce the bird’s vocalizations. Syrinxes differ slightly anatomically across bird families, involving the attachment of various muscles. Genetic differences also influence birds’ vocalizations. Sound is accomplished by expelling air across the mouth of the bifurcated trachea. Different sounds are produced by changing the depth and shape of trachea. So, talking parrots are really whistling in different variations. Congo African Grey Parrots (CAG) are well known for their ability to "talk", which may be caused by more control, or stronger trachea. But that does not mean that a Cockatiel (Cockatiels are not well known for their talking ability), could have a greater vocabulary than an African Grey Parrot. Here is an article you may find interesting. www.birdchannel.com/bird-behavior-and-training/bird-tricks-training/parrot-talking-abilities.aspx Thanks for watching, and if you want to see more videos, please subscribe!
Einstein Parrot How interesting, thanks. Makes me think of the mockingbird which imitates other bird calls or whistles. I'll have to look into this. I run programs at a retirement community and for movie night am thinking of showing Parrots of Telegraph Hill which was a fascinating documentary - I forget if those birds talked; will have to review the film. I will look into your web links too. Bird lore is fascinating.
(sigh) I once woke up and had a 30-minute conversation with my wife, who was in the next room. After a while. it occurred to me that a few of her answers to questions and such had just slightly odd syntax (for her). I got out of bed and walked towards the room the voice was coming from. It was Sweetums, our African Grey...
I’ve totally done that before! It never gets old. Tell Sweetums to also try mimicking noises she hears in the bathroom. I learned fart noises that way... this also never gets old. 😂✊🏾 I plan to upload some as our channel grows.
I believe that, for their first 7-1/2 years with Einstein, Marcia and Jeff thought (based on physical characteristics) that Einstein was female. But then, for some reason I can’t remember, they decided they needed to get him DNA tested. So the early videos refer to Einstein as a girl, and the later ones as a boy.
I hope that my African grey will become as good of a talker as yours ^^ so far mine only says peekaboo when u cover his head... But hey! It's a start :)
You can tell the amount of love and care, and perfectly alright way Einstein is spoiled just by the way he chatters on. Einstein, you make me smile every day!
My Blue & Gold Macaw "Captain" absolutely LOVES Einstein !! He watches her every day. He's a very good talker. But he still is constantly picking up new words and phrases. I expect it won't be long until he says something that he has picked up from Einstein. One of his favorite videos is about 40 minutes long which is great for me too. I can get a few things done before it's over. And Captain definitely lets me know when the video is over. Thank you ! She's great 😀
