One of the best videos for beginners with Alocasias I've seen. Can't 100% agree with everything, but... The light, the best watering technique and the humidity are always more than one way to deal with. I have more then 30 Alocasias in different potting medias. In different soil mixes in leca in coco based substrate in moss in aquarium stratum.... In terracotta and in plastic pots. The combo of terracotta and peat based soil mix is what they love, but not for seedlings. Never tried pon and self watering pots. Use for all of them growlight all seasons. Humidity is ambient 40-50%
I thought I was such a weirdo, checking in on my plants every single day! 😂 Love the alien reference! 😆 I’ve been most challenged with Alocasia; just bringing 1 back now from what seemed its end. 😅 Having plants die is just the worst! 😢 It’s easy to forget to trust our intuition with all of the different do’s and dont’s out here. Thank you for your super helpful tips! I will not give up on this particular stunning plant! 🤩💚
Thank you for sharing. I am glad I clicked on your channel. I like all the Alocasias, which I want to get. I thought I was the only one that thought they are so Alienish. And when I first saw the Red Secret, I thought wow the leaves look like they have abs, lol. Looking forward to more tutorials on Alocasia's and plant information.
Your guide is right on point! This is the bee’s knees of alocasia guide. 👍 I totally double down on your advice in semi hydro- it’s the way to go w alocasia. Also on your spring shower method. I go a bit overboard and shower my alocasia twice a week but they love it. Nothing sucks more than having the plant growth be halted by pest issues. Only experience I’d like to add is the quantity of plant to place in each pot. I had a Alocasia micholitziana that came from the store with 5 plants in the same pot. When it grew huge it became very unruly, their leaves just fighting each other. I’d say 2 is good, and 3 plants is ideal for that lush look. Keep up the good work!!!
Newd Proven Winners HOUSEPLANTS in Kokomo Indiana nc I can only find Costa. I LOVE PW outdoor plants! I DO save my PW coleus indoors over Winter. They've lasted for years! ❤

Moisture meter is useless to my opinion. Only your finger is the most sensitive “moisture meter”
Is she hi?
