The bridal couple looked very elegant. It would have been nice had the officiating clergy at the cathedral made more of an effort in the vestments they wore. In light of the spectacular vestments in the cathedral's sacristy it might have been better to have chosen something that did not look so drab on camera. The choice of music seemed a little odd. Not that there is anything wrong with Mozart's Coronation Mass or Vivaldi's Gloria, but it would have been more appropriate to have chosen something by a Spanish composer. Also it seemed strange to have the couple process out of the cathedral to the Halleluia chorus from Handel's Messiah sung in English at a Spanish royal wedding.

Given the rich collection of historical vestments in the cathedral's sacristy, I would have preferred that they chose something richer to lend greater solemnity to the wedding and would read better on camera. If one looks at what the clergy wore for Prince William and Katherine's wedding at Westminster Abbey, the vestments chosen were more in keeping with the solemnity of the occasion and looked very well on camera.
