Yeah, yeah, yeah - this is NOT the type mined in Burma, so to have the hype and price hiked up that much is just good for the auction house.
I do understand that there are NO MORE rubies to be had in Asia so elsewhere would suffice to cater to the ruby market.
Too bad that this stone would never match that of the one from Thailand (formerly Siam/Siamese) or Burma if available to go head-to-head in all criteria.

Who cares where it came from?... It's still a clear and large unheated and untreated ruby. This is the largest gem grade ruby ever found, not even the ones in Burma are this large.

Apart from this and some other , disgusting cloudy cracked nasty included rubbish some mugs putting on there fingers thinking wow when the intelligent are thinking mug and laughing all the way to the bandit bank, slave mined Gems utter rubbish 99% of them, its only Fura Gem company that offers gems mined by happy well paid workers is safe conditions, others all are crazy game of artificially controlling the price of crap pure crap.
