My mom gave me. Ruby belonged to her great grand mother ..it's a 6 carat Burmese Ruby beautiful one.....showed to a jeweller he said i am lucky to have it. It was untreated non heated Ruby
My very first ruby was given to me as a Christmas gift from a Thai gem trader in Chantaburi province ( Thailand ) last 2018. ❤️
Wow! The stone of Kings. Those Rubies were amazing, all of them had unique qualities. Nice to see some Greenland Ruby, topped of with a surprise at the end with the Red Beryl! I thought Bixbite was so rare none was faceted, but there you go Utah!
I love the Mozambique ones because I love the warm, rich, red colour. I love the Burma too though. Ruby is THE gemstone in my opinion. The passion and love hidden in these gems is unparalleled! 🔥❤
haha im itching to see a Aussie sapphire ep
Me too! I have a yet to be faceted parti sapphire that will look much like an emerald crossed with indictolite tourmaline teal and blue outside of that green zone.
I am working up the courage to send it for cutting now...i never have had anything cut before. Nor have I mailed anything that valuable...
@@coreymerrill3257 being a cutter myself that sounds like a stunner love to see a pic
@@vandiemenadventures can we do that here? I have a few of it lit up. My camera can't handle the backlighting , so focus is crap but the color shows well.
@@coreymerrill3257 send me a message on Facebook or Instagram same account name
mght be able to give you a few tricks and hints taking photos some stones can be a bugger
The Mozambique is my favorite. The rich hue is just gorgeous!
Awesome video so rich looking rubies are specially with the star fantastic knowledge on where they come from sure looking forward to see ones from Greenland been done up beautiful collection you have thank you any gem would be awesome
i love rubies I even have 2 untreated rubies, 1 Winza ruby drop, 8mm in size. 1 oval cut ruby from Vietnam 9mm in size. and then I have another 35 rubies, which have been treated but are still beautiful and cut and transparent
Thank you for the information. I have an 11.8Ct round, from Magok. I just looked and saw the silk that you mentioned. I got really excited. The florescence is beautiful too ❤
I didn't know rubies could fluoresce under UV light. I have some ruby jewelry(a bracelet and a necklace to be specific) from my grandma with teeny tiny diamonds in it, but the bigger gems in it are the rubies and I love it. She has been giving me a lot of jewelry the past several years. A small silver ring is what started it all.
All those rubies are so pretty.😯😀 There are so many kinds of them and where they come from.❤💎 I like to see a video about sapphires next.💙💎 Thanks for sharing and good video.😊👍
I really love to know about Sri Lanka or Ceylon Ruby. Sri Lanka still produced rubies until now or not? I heard that Sri Lanka ruby more to pinkish red, i'm not really sure. What I know Sri Lanka are famous with their sapphires.
Thanks
When I was in Maine along the coast the rock has tons of tiny garnet, and I mistook it for ruby at first. I just recently found this YT channel and must say I love it. Great Job! Speaking of jobs, I used to work at JTV 13 yrs ago. 🙂
Ruby is the King of gems.
oh god im in love with those
I'VE BEEN WAITING FINALLY
Hello my name is Munnir from Nigeria am gemstones collector working with many local Miners. Collecting precious stones and spacemen.
Beautiful Ruby
I love ruby ❤️. In Cambodia, we have ruby, too.
My birth stone. Pigeon Blood! ❤
I bought two 5mm round Burmese rubies from JTV many years ago. They were expensive (or so I thought) at the time but now I am thinking that my instincts have afforded me an amazing treasure. Would I be right??? Just wondering. ❤🙂
Super, I love ruby!
The King of all Gems; the Gem of all Kings. Nothing compares to a Burmese ruby.
The most exquisite.
Thank you for great vid! As someone from Burma, I am quite proud of our ruby and its popularity around the world. My country is just so blessed with all the natural resources like Ruby, Jades and natural gases etc but as you many know she is not very fortunate with current political turmoil happening now. I wish my country swiftly leave the current situation and reach to the top where it should be. I sometimes think its possibly the resource curse phenomenon.
Beautiful
I'd never heard of Graeter's Ice Cream before, but I just moved to Dayton from California. And GoogleMaps tells me there's one less than a mile from me! So thanks to you, I'll be trying my first Graeter's Ice Cream tomorrow afternoon!
They're famous for their black raspberry chip flavor, but cookies & cream and turtle sundaes can't be beat. Enjoy!
@@gems Well, thanks for that recommendation! The raspberry chip was great, and I think I'll have to bring home a pint of sweet cream when strawberry season comes to Ohio.
I own a 2,608 carat heart-shaped ruby crystal. What’s ironic about the heart-shape is that I bought it for myself as a Valentine’s Day gift.
You go girl. Enjoy your Ruby.
Very cool😍
I really dig your video. Lots of interesting information and very informative. Maybe next time mention the stuff here in America if you have enough time. Every ruby can’t be a piece of jewelry but it’s cool our rubies play such a huge role in industrial processes.
I remember when I was little my mom talking about red gems in jewelry, specifically rubies vs garnets. She said she favored garnets because rubies were too pink. XD
I was delighted to see the bright florecense of those first two gems, it was quite impressive! Like they were lit with an inner flame.
Also, as a person who lived in Ohio for a long time with family members working in their stores, I can confirm Graeter's is the best ice cream. Hands down.
We like your taste in stones and ice cream!
Lovely comment. 😀
@@rogerhargreaves2272 Thank you! ^_^
i recently got into carving nephrite as a hobby id love to see a deep dive into nephrite please
Those are amazing!
These two stones are really Burmese Ruby Stones because these stones have high contrast and blue colors in red stones.
I grew up in Beavercreek Ohio! So my fav channel now. Can you please pretty please do a video on SILVER LACE ONYX CABOCHON??? PLEASE?
loved this video!
Thank you!!
I concur! To those of us who love the stones for the stones’ sake, just viewing and learning about them makes our livers quiver!
Really can't wait to (hopefully) start my course with Gem-A next year
Question...My Mozambique untreated ruby is a very sparkling nice red (only) color in incandescent light, however in daylight/sunlight it has a more burgundy/purplish modifier...Can you explain that phenomenon ?
totally agree live in cold spring ky
Please do bloodstone and show all qualities of bloodstone n best quality stone pls coz bloodstone is most underrated
Appreciate from Burma 👍
that video was awsome 🤩♦️
Ruby ❣💜 my favourite gemstone. My father once went to Burma, almost 20 years ago and bought a Ruby set for my mom. But the rubies look very pale pink, he bought a Ruby pendant for my daughter contained a solitaire Ruby, which was very dark maroon. I wonder if any of that is Ruby from Burma?
I lost a carat of pigeon blood ruby I melt down the ring and put the stone idk where!!!! I’m looking for it after I saw this video
North Carolina has Ruby and sapphire deposits too
It's rare for a typical sapphire when one measure it, it gives diamond hardness
I am using Mozambic ruby locket
Thank u
I just learned fire agate existed. I'd like to know about it. ( I trust you as a source and resource )
She is so cute 🤩 not a ruby but her 🥰
I have a rough purple ruby 100ct how do I tell how much it’s worth
I'd like to see you showcase the Benitoite please.
Very nice and informative video I love watching your video i love you so much
Those aren't pigeon's blood red. Maybe by JTV's standard.
exactly. proper pigeons blood is just pure, rich red. with no hints of purple or pink. just RED
Amazing information. Quality Rubies are a dream to wear but I sell the ruby rings from my collection, they are always in demand, always a buyer.
I like the Diamond ring on your middle finger.
Is it two or three different cuts?
She clearly hasn’t had Tillamook Icecream.
Can confirm definitely hear angels singing when eating it.
Might I suggest the Denali Moose Tracks or would Denali Moose Tracks Extreme or Choc-Mint Chip?
11:04 How could you not tell that the octahedron was a spinel XD
What is the price of Burmese ruby..
Nice 👍🏾👍🏾
I like gemstone ruby.
I have an idea for a video episode lost treasure from around the world that only JTV can cover
:)
before i watch further 10:14 id be surprized if the octahedron is a ruby
Hot gem very knowledgeable insight
I also have a single lump of a clear red rubies but it's small the size of a pomegranate seed. If I sell it, how much can it sell for?
PLEASE DO A VIDEO FOR BI COLOR/ PARTI SAPPHIRES??? I BELIEVE PEOPLE WOULD REALLY ENJOY IT, PLUS LEARN SOMETHING AS WELL, ALSO A VIDEO ON TOPAZ? ESPECIALLY IMPERIAL TOPAZ???? THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I HOPE YOU READ THIS
Topaz is quite an interesting stone. Many colours, with Imperial gold being my favourite, then there’s the deep reds and pinks......I can’t decide.
nice material guys
Thanks!
that Bixbite omg the one thing the eludes my collection if you guys have any facet rough id be really interested in obtaining some
I heard that is the color that causes wars among the princes of India, what about gemstones from around the world or is there one new subscriber here.
Merry Christmas to everyone in the studio. You know I collect precious stones and I have some Burmese Pigeon Blood Rubies. I am looking for how to sell them they are natural they are genuine. and i'm looking to sell my rubies
Can you ever do one on Euclase? I haven't seen it covered before on here
We haven't...yet. But that's a good idea!
@@gems really excited in that case :D
I don't think Greenland will ever be a viable source for rubies. There are so few of nice quality and most (if not all) need flux heating which is only a step above glass filling
Her eyes are excellence.
I bought a ruby ring but not sure what ruby it is? From top it’s dark red but from below its purplish red 😅 am really curious
Good
Very nice Rubies but there's no purple in stoplights. Gotta pick a color description and go with it.
Why I give gifts to woman, watch her reaction at 4:25, I just love seeing that!!!
It cannot be 1 million per carat.... Sometimes dealers blindly raising the price.
Bagai mana caray mejual batu ruby yg bagus
Skyline Chilli…she really threw it back to my college days in Ohio😆
Wow ok!
I have a ruby that's been pass down in my family.the person that knows about the gem is my grandfather who pass away.he was from burma.how can I check .
Am i the only one who thinks rubies look juicy and delicious??
I want the name of the ultraviolet device, please
O my gosh ice cream
I have 3.06 carat AAAA+ EYE CLEAN DEEP RED OLD BURMA RUBY .

i have one Ruby
جميل جدا رائع الشكر والتقدير والاحترام المتبادل لكوم مرحبا 💐💐
Một like cho Ruby của Việt Nam 🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍
She's like after glass of wine
Hello, I have a 24-carat Burmese ruby, where can I get a certificate and how can I sell it?
Those are 100% pink
How much par carat RUBY
Does that fluorescence eventually totally bleach over time?
my guess is no....because it is intrinsically related to the chromium content in the ruby...which should not change over time
It says on the JTV page that the pair of Burmese rubies are "Enhancement: Flux Healed", so Its glass-filled ruby, I mean common, that's not "top quality"
Flux healing is different from lead glass fill
@@KP-ty9yl well it’s better than the cheapest tricks if that’s what ya sayin
Glass filled and flux healed are different, but I don't think they should have such a price difference. Both should be very very cheap
u wish
If you want cheap, buy a glass
Where was that UV light when the red spinel video was recorded? And what about the guys in this clip, can't be trusted not to aim them at each other? LOL. On a more serious note, I think it goes to show that a longwave UV light can't really be used as the deciding factor for origin on ruby and perhaps not as a distinguishing feature from red spinel colored by chromium. There's much more to gemstone ID. A close friend has white marble countertops with pinkish red crystals dotted throughout. I'm sure if she found out the red zones are spinel or ruby, she might take out a pick-axe.
These are hot pink. They are indeed rubies but rubies are not red. Not in my perception. They’re VERY pink. Definitely not like a stop light by any means.
ပြသွားသောရတနာမျာဝင်လက်နေသည်
And they don't like it when a diamond fluoress, since all of them are in Russia 😏, and they're more lustrous and the refractions are devine without mentioning the effect under the sun
I have a blood ruby , almost the size of baby's head, 🤨
Mogok is pronounced “Mo-go”.
