I never owned the iPhone X, but I did own the GS8. I wish I never got rid of my GS8 but for me, the battery sucked. I was only getting maybe 3 hours of SOT. Camera and battery are my absolutes, and the battery wasn't cutting it. But If I could go back, I would have just delt with it because so much of the phone was amazing. I loved the camera and screen quality. But in this video, it shows how bad Samsung Galaxy devices falls ill to screen burn in. I always changed my icon packs and themes, so I never experienced that. Nice video and good throwback to the GS8
My Galaxy S8 doesn't have screen burn ins but I've cracked it slightly at the bottom right of the screen. Still perfectly usable phone to me just the battery life is bad
I used to use the S8 and I have to say iphones age so much better than samsung phones. Just from the first glance you can already see the terrible screen burn on the S8 and from my experience its battery was horrible as well, whereas the Iphone X's design is still iconic and used to this day and still gets software updates. I switched to the iphone 11 pro last year and honestly I can see it lasting for many more years.
@@Qwerty-uiop That person had their screen on max brightness. Samsung phones already bright even when it's on low, so you don't need to max out the brightness unless you're outside on a harsh sunny day. Heck, I still don't put mine on max brightness even outside.
i my self would prefer the galaxy s8, cause i prefer the android system, but yo bro, ive got to say, this iphone x screen is just gorgeous, it looks so natural, doesnt look like a screen, looks like its just a sheet of paper, this is a thing, that even to this day i see really few android phones that have this natural screen, i really dont know why, i have an iphone 5s and even a really old phone like this have this natural looking screen
I am still rocking the s10, and this piece of crap is so slow and laggy now, gaming is worse than my previous iphone 6s, your s8 is faster just because it was definitely formatted and apps were reinstalled for this test, same is true for iphone but it doesn't go slow even after using for straight 3 years.
@@escape6842 Of course when you experienced two galaxies breaking in less than a decade then you’ll never go back. She likes her X and i think it would take a lot of proving, debating and convincing for her to go back and i myself doubt it.
Hey guys, I need some help. My friend has the Galaxy S6 and he is not sure if he needs to upgrade to the Galaxy S8. He said the Galaxy S8 is on One UI and we are currently on One UI 4.1. Is it a good choice or not ? If it isn’t, tell me which smartphone you can recommend for my friend. Pls answer.
save money and upgrade to a higher end samsung, the s8 is barely supported at this point. Going from s6-s8 won't really do that much, if you want a good improvement go for at least an s20
tbh, testing with the lower end model of the galaxy series is pushing a disadvantage. the X was iphone's only model released at that year, being its best for that year of release, Samsung released both the s8 and the s8+, where the s8+ was a far taller measure than the normal s8, giving it a great capability to stand strong against the X, even if it beats it or not. i just think you should always use each brand's strongest model device for comparison. other than, great video comparison and good videos over all!
@@lilazi420 I have a friend who works at samsung (great position) and hates the company. Thay are just about getting money and profit, absolutely no real quality in products which becomes evident after warranty expires and years pass as you can see here
That OLED burn-in is horrendous.
I agree, it looks so horrible..
Yeah was going to mention😂😂
Yep. Worse than mine.

im swappin from gs8 for iphone x next week☺️
Same I hate it so much the battery life of the s8 ,it caused me so many troubles
The iPhone X still looks cool, like it just stepped out of a fashion show, but the Samsung S8 seems from the Stone Age.
My Galaxy S8 doesn't have screen burn ins but I've cracked it slightly at the bottom right of the screen. Still perfectly usable phone to me just the battery life is bad
The value of iPhone is how durable they are after many years of usages compared to android phones.

I do not have burn in on my galaxy. What do you do to get horrendous burn in?

@@tayjones8552 yep same. My phone always is at 20 or 60 at most. I also don’t even put max brightness outside because burn in.
s8 way better for me
S8 is a phone that competes with iphone 7 and 8 but surprisingly it stills performs so well competing with iphone x
Dude that’s more than “a little burn in”
😂😂😂
Both amazing phones tho
S8 user here . No burnout, no lagging and everything works just fine but i only get 4 hours of screen time on a full charge
Still using my S8
that burn in lol

I still have the GS8+ its just smashed up in my drawer 🤣
I also have the GS8+. I'm using it to type this rn. Coming from a $20 android I can say it's quite the improvement

Damn my note 8 is still going strong given it's only used for social media, UA-cam and other basic things
My sister’s galaxy s8 died years ago and my sister replaced it with a X.
Which one does she like better?

Burn in comes when you have it on max brightness. Still don't have burn in on mine.
Same. Only burn in on mine is the UA-cam UI when watching videos without full screen.
Do a test with S20 Ultra and iPhone 11 Pro Max... ( If you take requests)
Idk why but the samsung looks ancient
This will be same with s23ultra and iPhone 14/15
Do a video on best screen protector for Samsung s8
Bro don’t buy Samsung s8 because iPhone X is soo much smoother in 2023. This is called apple brand.
can i have updates on s8+ and what means that android 7

Or an s10 or s10plus is a better upgrade from the s6 and its not overly expensive
Thank you very much guys.
If you want software support at a good price just get an A series (A52s is quite good value for the price, depends on your region tho)

Then they should use the note 8!den
Damn is that a screen burn on the galaxy 🫣
please camera comparison video betwen this mobile...
s3 the oldest phone in your museum drawer?
Yukkk that display burn-in/ ghost images on s8
I phone x is far better😊
The s9 plus is the iPhone X’s proper competition, the s8 is in a whole different league
shoudnt the xr or xs be that? since both of them got released in 2018 along with s9
@@eggxodusx86yeah I agree with you. The S9 series SHOULD be a head-to-head iPhone XS/XR Challenger
