I use this on and off since base game, it still stands well. My mimic and I bullied Malenia with this similar set-up 2 years ago, but we used Great Stars.
And the best part is both healing each other from Prayerful Strike's AoE 😀
My god, i am going to have to change my build again!! awesome!!! Great recommendation on the great club, it has been my go to weapon for a while. They changed the speed on it and now it is much faster hitting that many great weapons plus it has a excellent reach, in addition to the strike and stance break potential.

Thanks for the build, I've just killed the final boss of the DLC at my first try with this build.
It doesn't have much defense but you can recover your health faster than the final boss does his damage so it was just a matter of patience and wait for the openings to use the ash of war.
I like this build I'm still new to elden ring so I've been trying out a lot of different builds to get a feel for the game and your builds are always some of the best. Also I got a new build idea that would be interesting to see in pathfinder it would be really cool to see a bloodseeker demon build I know it's more thematical with lich but a demonic vampire sounds like such an interesting idea

Bloodseeker can be fun, but yeah ideally I'd really like it as Lich because its most unique feature is actually the Bloody Beast Skeleton summon, which no other class can acquire.
And it's undead so would be buffed by the fun Lich stuff.
Although Vamp Demon is indeed a fun theme!
@cRPGBro I know that's one of the things I hate about pathfinder is when they make a really fun class work with only one mythic path with lich you gain more powerful summons where with demon you get less powerful summons but you can get a much higher intelligence modifier than you can with lich making your blood pool abilities stronger and your bloodlust ability stronger
I would personally swap out the Crusher for the Blasphemous Blade.
Sure it’s AoW is +10% instead of +30%. But it’s also ranged.

Seems like the giant crusher is indeed the way to go.
I was wondering if the new black steel mace, or the old reliable great stars should be used, but their damage is probably too low.

My issue with Great Starts is that it's just 1% per strike, but Prayerful Strike is somewhat slow, and is already healing you to full almost always anyways, with 30% per use.
if this was a fast AoW like Wild Strikes, then Great Stars would be a much better choice!
This build plus Ironjar aromatic, start saving your bottles for the big bosses.
Yep, Ironjar can be a blessing too!
Although it helps to be able to run so you can rush after some annoying enemies that move away a lot.

Is the Rusted Anchor a good alternative to the Giant Crusher? To take advantage of the piercing & counter damage since its a face tanking build. The GC hammer is just too big and blocks the screen 😅

Malenias great rune seems like a good option also, “attacks recover hp after damage is taken” sounds like it would work anyways.
It's better on faster Ashes of War like Wild Strikes, as you with Malenia's you have a timer and if you don't attack fast enough after receiving damage, you won't be able to heal the HP back.

Great build. We all need a build which can get us through the most difficult challenges and this is one. What about adding the Alexander talisman given that we will be spamming the ash of war? I’m thinking the new Black Steel Greathammer might also be a good weapon to go with.
I have the exact same build with black steel great hammer and a great shield to make use of the unique guard counter. Shield and counter in open world and prayerful strike for bosses. Easy mode activated!

@@leefrost3336 I would love to run a guard counter build but for the life of me I can’t quite figure out how it works. There is sometimes a clanging noise and I’m not sure if that is an indicator of when I should be countering or if that is the result of my countering. Is it possible to counter every enemy hit if you do it quickly enough? Usually I catch on a bit quicker than this but…
I have used a similar build. It's great for stationery and large bosses but on hyper mobile bosses it is difficult to land prayerful strike.
Try dual wielding great stars with wild strikes on more mobile bosses. It will regen 2% of your health on every hit when you dual wield them.
For the faster ones I recommend moving closer to them before using the skill as opposed to quickly chaining it together like with Dancing Lion, thankfully because of how tanky you are it's rather easy to take on hits as you go after them!
Especially since the Hyper Armor will make you most unstaggerable.

Str reaches the hardcap at 54 when twohanding

But if you are two handing you weapon, isn't 66 str the maximum you should get since two handing will add 50% str to damage calculation raising it effectively to 99?
Currently slowly playing on similar idea but with heavy armor and great mace. Plan on using two hand talisman once i get it for more reliable damage boost for regular attacks.
Strength can exceed 100 cap when using 2handed. It can be effectively 150 strength.
The strength depends on your build as Str/faith my stats are better allocated if I hit the first soft cap at 54str then dump excess into faith. Me going for 70str was actually worse for me I was losing out on abilities and and ash of war scaling. He says this ash of war is based on strength but it looks like a holy ash of war. I think the build works, but people should do their own testing too.

How did you get 635 Physical on the Crusher? I only got to 581…is it because you have 80 Strength??

Apply the Heavy Affinity!
You need the Iron Whetblade for it which can be found in Stormveil Castle.
Destroyer of worlds. Beat King Consort on 2nd try easily. Would have done it the first try, but I just dropped the ball.
It's indeed one of my favorite builds for the DLC for that reason!
I don't know how you got all the bosses to just not knock you out of that animation but it knocks me out every time. Messmer hits me with a light attack and it will knock me out of this animation. I don't know if it got nerfed or whatever but this does not work.
Is the block marinara build still viable or was it nerfed in the patch?
If you mean the Shield & Poke Turtle Build, then yep it still works the same.

This one can actually do that, since Prayerful Strike also heals for an AoE around you upon use, both summons/other players and spirit ashes can be healed this way!
You will lose some HP due to Morgott's Great Rune being deactivated on other worlds, but still have a lot!

You forget about great stars mace? It has passive life steal
What dungeon has that mace?
@@jeanpagette5019 you get them in the base game. You get it from one of the giant caravans, I think it's the on the way to Volcano Manor. You have to first kill the giants so that they stop pulling the coach, then loot the chest in the back. The second one you get from an NPC invader, so yes you can get two in one playthrough.

if this was a fast AoW like Wild Strikes or multi hit like Golden Land, then Great Stars would be a much better choice, which is why I have it on builds for those!
why cant i put the heavy affinity onto prayerful strike even tho i have the affinity for other ashes of war?

150-160 is ideal.
120 CAN work, at the cost of some damage, by going 60 STR instead of 80.
60 VIG is the only true must have, and if you want to be higher level, you can also go for 99 VIG, but the difference is only around 300 HP.
How did you go from 2771 hp to 3k? Trying to do the same thing and im stuck at 2771 hp with the gear you show.
I think you're forgetting to activate margott's great rune with a rune arc. When i do that i get 3k+ HP. Without the rune I'm at 2400K HP.

I think it's the most reliable, yes.
You can also use Great Stars Hammer + Wild Strikes AoW against some enemies like Malenia & Rellana if you prefer.
Can anyone tell me a easy build to start with? I just got the game recently and have zero clue what to do lol
Anything works, the set-up being good or not depends on you. If you started as a bandit, they come with a Dagger and Buckler. The buckler already comes with Buckler Parry ash of war which is probably the best parry in the game. If you started as a confessor you start with a shield and straight sword for good early game block countering. Prophets start with an offensive incantation. It just depends on what you want to do. Plus if you're just starting, bosses will be slightly easier since you're on Journey 1, so bleed builds will probably carry you through 99% of thr base game.

You need the iron whetblade. it is in the stormveil castle behind a stonesword key in the area where you kill the grafted scion

1. Golden Vow from spell or AoW
2. Boiled Crab/Ironjar Aromatic Consumables
3. Opaline Hardtear for Wondrous Physick
4. Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman + Ritual Shield Talisman (since this build is always recovering to full HP quickly). Can also use Golden Braid for final boss

@@cRPGBro Yeah, I saw it. He used his weakest combo in both clips. I'm not saying it's a bad build, it's a great build and I love your videos. But He's gonna merc you with 90% of his other combo strings. That combo does the least stagger. Again, I love your videos...but He's a monster.

@@paweziemba969 u mean skillwise or knowledge wise? u can beat the game just with knowledge and mechanics. u dont have to be like ongbak. if u are ng+ 7 i already am assuming u have lots of knowledge on skills and combo builds.
@@Shupao77 ofcourse i do but before i try new "best" set i always ask if its ng7 viable where u get hits for 1-2k hp each time. YTubers should really add info about ng they are playing because all ng7 struggle to make good build and dont get 1/2 shot. From my testing on other "best god" builds i would assume i will still need slab shield to block

Yeah, that extra 19 levels could go into stamina or maybe faith. Or anything else.
Thankfully it's not really needed, depending on the level range you want to stay at.
I cover it in the Level Up Section, it's basically only 300 extra HP over 60 VIG, and 60 VIG still nets you ~3K HP with this build.
@@cRPGBro yeh that was the meme part. It is proven with Math that vigor past 60 is a massive waste due to diminishing returns. However, as you stated huge HP = HUGE life steal, so for the sake of illustrating that aspect, I get it.
