I moved to England recently and noticed the aunties who moved years 30 years ago have a very rural mindset and their kids can only crack jokes about pakistan or speak about it in a demeaning way. In reality pakistan has grown and the way aunties think and people think has changed significantly but it’s the rigid desis who moved abroad that keep the toxic culture alive.
Pakistan is a beautiful country and we have a lot of love for it. It’s the birthplace of our parents and siblings and they have always spoken so highly of it. And we will always be Pakistani.
