Big props to you guys! I don’t think most people realize how tiring it can be to drain the battery in eco mode.
Yeah you need a real destination in mind that matches the type of miles you wanna test. Otherwise you get bored and start going 47mph. Test over.
Also, I appreciate that you guys are also quantifying range in actual ride time along with the miles traveled.

I went back and watched the sting R test and I feel the supermoto tires on the XXX is really helping it. Perhaps a sting R on supermoto tires would be a more fair comparison.

Thanks for the review! I'm actually really debating on getting this over the Sting r. I'm also 6'3 and 185 I thought that might be an issue but apparently it isn't. I can't wait till you guys do the off-road test. If it does decent I will probably get the XXX. Just subscribed keep up the good work!
Yes your size is just fine, this bike will not be near as good at off road as the sting R, we have a test coming but so far it’s mostly made for the street.
@@Talariaboys yeah I think I might have to lean towards the sting r then. I actually live in Colorado in the mountains and have a lot of trails to access so maybe the sting r still will be the better choice. They have that in stock too so maybe I should just pull the trigger 🤔. In your opinion what shop have you had the best experience with Luna cycles or e-bikezilla?

21 Miles in Sportsmode is nice and 26-28mph Eco mode with a range of 46 miles is stunning...very good 👍🏼
You must make the talaria R supermoto range test. Interested to see how much that affects it's range
Weight isn't that big of a factor at steady speed driving, more weight likely increases rolling resistance slightly but since you are not really accelerating it mostly comes down to aerodynamics and rolling resistance of the bike. The super moto tires probably help decrease the rolling resistance, but I think the main difference is being slightly lower to the ground. How much lower is the seat on XXX compared to the Sting-R?

The fact this bike is almost matching the sting R's top speed, and beating out it's range, for only 3k is crazy. The only benefit I see in the Sting R vs this bike, is that I don't see there being much chance of the XXX's battery being upgradeable. So, you're missing out on 72v, or 60ah batteries.
It can have a monster battery added and tuned still, but we'll see buddy ✌️...
Just wait a bit when the bike gets better known. Also, the battery housing has more potential because it's size
@@brodyng4961 I don't own one, YET, cause they sold out impossibly fast. However, from all the videos I've seen, it seems like the stock battery completely fills the housing compartment. Leaving no room for a bigger battery.
I could be entirely wrong though.
@@AmericanIlluminati I think heavier but same sized cells can be used so it increases potential and weight but keeps the same size... I've saw a few 66V for the sting that increases power a bit and range nearly double, using stock controller and no battery case changing the way some bulge out... ✌️
You guys should do a seat riser upgrade tutorial on this bike I would love to see that!
Would love to see a range test climbing up mountains - I live at 600m and would love to see how it would handle riding down and back up with a bit of trail riding in between.
From my experience range typically drops about 40% on standard Colorado incline. The nice thing about hills is co king down them and using zero power though! I don’t have my bike yet but this is fairly standard across others I’ve tried bike and longboard.

I am 20 sitting at a whopping 5'2'' at 110 lbs, I think I could get some serious range on that thing.
So it would reason that a smaller rear sprocket will increase efficiency for long range riding?

Factor in wheel tire size xxx vs R 17" vs 19" also sprocket size you can make the xxx faster by putting in 19" wheel and smaller sprocket

Thanks for watching! The motor does get pretty hot. That’s why we stop at 50% to let it cool off for a while. We haven’t ever had an actual overheating issue though

Looking at your battery comparison on tictok, you show the mx battery vs the xxx.. strange the xxx is 2x as long for similar power.. wondering would the mx3 battery fit in the xxx? maybe ad some foam to stop it from bouncing.. but LxW looked similar.. only H was shorter. thanks
The mx3 battery would not fit in the xxx at all!

This thing sounds like an incredible deal but for my application I need to have it sit outside while I take the battery inside to charge.
I want to see this test with off road tires on off road conditions.

We haven’t had any issues and did stop to let it fully cook halfway through just to be safe but again in all our riding we do we haven’t had an issue. We just passed 1000 miles on this bike!

I want one so damn bad. Should I grab the pedal kit when it comes out to avoid being pulled over? Running eco mode classifies it as a moped/e-bike completely but sport mode would be motorcycle territory for sure. I just don’t wanna deal with pesky annoying cops

It just depends on what your doing I would say if you do lots of off road then definitely the sting r but if you do mostly street I would go with the xxx. It also comes down to how much you are willing to spend.

I think this data is more important than a top speed test due to that is more of a real world situation.
One thing that I noticed is that during the Sting R and Rawrr Mantis test that the riders noted that there was
noticeable wind blowing in one direction on the test course, which may have given the Talaria XXX a range
and speed advantage if that wasn't as much of a factor on the day of this test.
Irregardless, the XXX does seem like a very good bike!
I wondered if it was possible that the position and the angle of the battery is part of the reason that your riders are finding it easier to wheelie?
You asked in the video if we would be interested in seeing a repeat of the range test for a stock Sting R
that is fitted with the super moto wheel package? My Vote would be YES!

There was slightly more wind on those other range tests but we found better mic placement for the xxx test so it doesn’t sound as windy.
Your right, The xxx has a much better balance point because of the battery placement. We’re thinking about doing the sting R with supermotos!
