for some of the most beautiful wuxia, I highly recommend "HERO 英雄" also has Jet Lee in it, directed by Zhang Yi Mou~ It is GORGEOUS and also the story is great! I feel Taichi is still considered pretty much based on a 'real' gongfu, but just on wires+ some special effects
this is an excellent movie

The first clip of jet li fighting the Japanese dude is based on a Bruce Lee’s movie. After Jet Lee, Donnie Yen did another version. Almost same story line, but different in settings, but all adapted to Bruce’s Jet Kune Do style of fighting.

Jet Li and Yuen Woo-Ping choreography together in an explotion of GENIUS. Both geniuses in their craft. The imagination of Yuen Woo-Ping is just unmatched. He has surpassed great choreographers. This is one of his GREATEST ever choreograped. FAR, FAR,FARRRRR........ better than Tekken live action. I always watch this.
Do you still remember Jay Chou has a song called "Huo Yuanjia"? That is the theme song of the movie, starring Jet Li

当看到洋人笑太极的时候，我理解了印度电影的神逻辑。
其实是他们不理解武术和太极中蕴含的文化以及武术招式的意义，总的来说是中国文化缺乏了解，在他们来说也体会不到功夫的内在，更不用说武侠片传达的意义。毕竟没有深刻了解这些文化背景，也就是看个乐呵。

really awesome old-style Kong Fu movie, much more interesting than some CG acting now. some young actors today don't pay much to practice Kong Fu and make the film/TV a disaster.

想看武术动作的洒脱，那东方不败2，李连杰的独孤九剑打向问天那一段，以后也没有人能演出来了。还有片中李连杰演绎的轻功走位，感觉就是真的。其他武侠片中没有这种真实感。
我认为《精武门》是李连杰最牛逼的电影，尤其从武打设计来看。

我是香港人,以及我是男仔和八十後!!!!! 我在十幾年之前在加拿大留學讀書的時候,當時的我認識一些來自韓國和香港的哈日族（御宅族）朋友們對我說他們覺得日本的武士片和忍者片的打鬥場面比較強（勁）和真實（接近實戰）,以及我那些朋友們還對我說中國和香港的武俠片,武打片和功夫片的打鬥場面比較弱和假（同實戰有很大分別/不似實戰/不像實戰）,你們又有什麼看法呢？

@@josherica4604 my mistake, it was only 2 part in the jet-li starred franchise. Btw try to watch kungfu master. Starring Donnie Yen and Jackie cheung. It was popular TV show that mixed up Hung hei Kun and fongsaiyuk folklores.

hay man ive seen a video where u reacted to a music video of jay chou, i was wondering if you could listen to a chinese opera clip. the clip is a video of from the variety show called he cai zhong hua (喝彩中華) where it showcases a bunch of different opera styles and singers. the opera is called eighteen farewells (十八相送). the singer in the yellow is singing the part of Zhu Yingtai (祝英臺) using taiwanese ge zai opera, and the singer in the blue is singing the part of Liang Shanbo (梁山伯) using shanghainese yue opera.
