The actor who played the role of the bald-headed man who is a member of Jang Chen's gang said that this movie was his last chance. If he did not become famous, he was going to quit acting. However, the movie was a box office success and this actor also began to receive a lot of love.
04:31...."venom gang boss" is the same actor as the villain of a facial tattoo in "Squid Game." One interesting fact is that he graduated from a pretty good university in Korea and was part of a famous company called "LG" ("Samsung/ HYUNDI/ LG" requires high qualifications in Korea)... The most interesting fact is that his real personality is "very, very, very shy and introverted. Even now, he sweats during interviews..
This movie is a real event. In the movie, it appears to cut the waiter's arm, but in reality, he killed the woman who was reporting, not the waiter. He ripped the woman's neck alive with a saw, cut off her arms, legs, chest, intestines, and walked around the hallway with his head, and was filmed on CCTV, carrying the head box outside and drinking soju.According to the detective, it was much more brutal than the movie.
Thank you so much for the reaction. This series has now released three volumes. The second series is also really fun, so please post your reaction quickly.
This movie was INTENSE. The Outlaws (Also called The Round Up) is one of Ma Dong Suk's biggest movie franchises. There is a part 2 and also a part 3 which are both very good as well, if you want to check them out. Also, FYI, guns are banned in Korea, which is why everyone is using knives.
The actor who played Jang Chen (real name Yoon Kye sang) is one of my all time favorite Korean actors. It’s such a mindfck to see him in roles like this as a ruthless gangster and then to see him in a romcom (which he did a lot of in his early career) and ofc Uncle Ma Dong Seok who flawlessly does action and comedy at the same time.
Yo it's crazy how many actors who go on to be legendary are in this film! Especially the little baby rookie cop I didn't even recognize for a while, but he is a major star and often the lead of his own shows
As a korean, I like this movie very much. Above all, because this is a story that actually happened. Police stations and detectives in the movie are also real people. Actor and producer Ma Dong-seok is a very close friend of the detective, so he was able to make a movie about his story.Of course, the action is exaggerated. The detective monitored the streets of Korean-Chinese people and helped them settle in Korea instead of arresting light gangs or illegal immigrants. The Korean-Chinese accent is very unique, which is also a fun part of the movie. I didn't think it would be interesting to foreigners because the Korean sentiment was so strong, but it's interesting that you guys enjoyed the movie.
It was a really fun reaction! I wish I could see other Korean movies' reactions. I like it very, very much over an hour I got to know this channel through reaction to Busan ❤❤❤
This was unexpected..great reaction..for ma dong-seok there are other movies you can react to : the gangster, the cop, the devil, unstoppable, the villagers, etc..maybe you guys can react to other k-movies: midnight runners (2017) , luck-key (2016), the witch : part 1 - the subversion (2018), veteran (2015), a hard day (2014), forgotten (2017), perfect proposal (2015), unlocked (2023) and many more..
Yoon Kye-sang, who plays the villainous Jang Chen in "The Outlaws," is a key member of Korea's most famous and oldest boy group and has the most hits with the most trophies. He is already at the top of the list as a singer in Korea And the cop at the end of the movie is actually Ma's girlfriend. It's more fun to know
I'm a Japanese person who likes Korean movies. The sequel, The Round Up, is much more interesting than The Outlaws. The Round Up: No Way Out will be screened in Japan in February 2024, so it's a lot of fun.☺️

Organized crime is almost non-existent in South Korea because when something big happens, it's always rooted out. The South Korean police are very competent. South Korea is surrounded by the sea on three sides and North Korea on the other, meaning there is nowhere to run. During the military regime in the 80s, the "war on crime" wiped out all the big gangs. There was a time when we had very harsh and brutal reformatories, where if you had a tattoo on your body, you were arrested and educated. I've heard stories of people being beaten to death there, and it was like boot camp for the military. After that, the assholes just disappeared. After the military dictatorship, there was a democratic government, and then there were small organizations. That's the time period of this movie. That's why the old gangs are stooping so low to the homicide detectives.
There were a lot of people who did nothing wrong in those camps. Undesirables and protesters who were disappeared, crippled, or driven insane along with the criminals. Rounding up all of the gangsters with a "war on crime" is one thing, but those reeducation camps were unforgivable humanitarian atrocities.
@@jalfredprufrock620 That's right. They were just picking up the wrong people, just petty thugs in the neighborhood, because the cops had a quota and it paid off. They treated them inhumanely and there were deaths from beatings and things like that. This was during the military dictatorship, so these things came to light later.

Yeah this is the start of the Crime City franchise which is still going by the way. The 4th film comes out next year. 1.) The Outlaws 2.) The Roundup 3.) The Roundup: No Way Out 4.) The Roundup: Punisment (Upcoming)
Hello, THE OUTLAWS is the first episode of The Roundup series, with a third episode released in 2023 and a fourth episode scheduled for release this year. I recommend the second episode of The Roundup series, which was released in 2022, and New World.
In fact, the reason foreigners do that is because they know that the government doesn't move even if they fight among themselves like that. The reason is that illegal immigrants don't come in normally and there is no information on them. So, if they go to China after committing a crime... they can't be found.(The subject matter of the movie is based on events that actually occurred.)
Is that still a common thing for undocumented criminals (or even Korean criminals) to flee to neighboring Harbin, etc in China after committing egregious crimes? How does the Korean government deal with this? I don't know much other than watching k-dramas exploring this kind of stuff, but am quite curious.
@@dysutopia4238 The crime in the film was before 2010. It was actually more brutal. At that time, a lot of Korean-Chinese gangs smuggled into Korea and caused a lot of problems. The Chinese were making up their ghetto, and what happens there is unknown in Korea. There were many illegal immigrants, and they couldn't call to the police because they were afraid of being deported. Then, several murders occurred and even an innocent Korean woman was killed very brutally. It was too cruel to be introduced in the news. The body was cut into about 100 pieces, and all the bones were separated from the flesh. After the incident, very thorough immigration control began. And the Chinese commercial area in the movie is also thoroughly managed by the Korean police.
Just so you know, they are planning to make a series out of these films which consists of 8 films titled "Crime City" and the upcoming 4th sequel is going to be released this year titled "The Roundup: Punishment". You should also watch the 3rd one because they expanded to more yakuza enemies lol
Crime City Part 1 was made into a movie based on real events that happened in Korea. The actual detective who played the role of Ma Dong-seok, the eldest detective, looked similar to Ma Dong-seok. He's a bit short though haha
10:07 I don’t know in what context you felt he was shook, but to me, he seems really pissed until the very moment he starts shaking his neck with no remorse.
My grand father was cop just like them handling heavy criminals all trained judo all ex military went through some kind of war Korean or Vietnam years back used to be real tough without any gun to take criminals down
The area where Chinese people live has a lot of crime, so Koreans don't live there and leave. That's why it became an area where Chinese people live. The interpretation says Chinese Korean, but in reality, they're just Chinese. That's why there's a line where the police tells Jang Chen that he doesn't pay taxes. It has nothing to do with discrimination. It's just Chinese people committing crimes against Chinese in Korea.
Final someone's rea ting to this awesome movie. There's part 2 and 3 btw. . You ought to watch all of many dong soks movies. There's also a TV series The Bad Guys. Mr ma is badass x 1000
YEAH!! One of my fav korean action movie! 😋Ma dong Seok is basically the arnold schwarzenegger of korean action movies. I wanna recommend a great korean horror film called “The wailing”. I hope you really see and react to it soon 😊
wow, this movie! it's been a while! for more information, the Korean ancestors had to move to Harbin areas for independence movement and counterattack with provisional government during Japanese occupation and those socalled Korean-chinese are actually considered just chinese and hated quite much by Koreans these days. LOL...
Now you gotta watch the sequels, man. The second movie is titled The Roundup and in my opinion it's just as good as the first one. I would also recommend the third one The Roundup: No Way Out, it is also entertaining but it is a dowgrade compared to the first two movies.
Please check out "The Roundup (2022)" which is the direct sequel to this movie. It's equally entertaining. So far the third movie has come out, and the fourth is on the way.

Starting 27:26 you have a few facts wrong there (btw, they have 'dongs' in Seoul designating neighborhoods - ex. Garibong-dong (translated as Garibong district in the movie), has become a heavily Chinese majority area with this particular ethnic group called "josun-joek' (Chinese-Koreans) originating from the towns/villages near the current Chinese / North Korean border. Anyhow, those border towns are for the most part poverty/crime/corruption stricken, and those people who are so entrenched in that way of life unfortunately didn't smuggle into S. Korea with an agenda for a better life or so-called Korean dream and they basically turned the area where they settled into a den of lawlessness & vileness over time with their old / usual ways (and to boot, most of them are illegal residents - recall the joke about using too much tissue when you're not even paying taxes in the bathroom?) Koreans began to resent them for leeching off public / social system with zero tax contribution and furthermore seeing their once safe neighborhood riddled with murders, fights, extortion, racketeering, on & on on a daily basis, detest them as well, you calling that oppression (as a motivation to form gangs) is as clear cut as saying chicken came before the egg or vice versa as in what came first, being treated like 'shit' or creating 'shit'?
we have the outlaws series already released 1, 2, 3 and 4 will release in 2024. 1,2 are based on true story and 3,4 are fiction if you are interested in.

That’s you so much for the info in this comment, seriously appreciate it
There were a lot of people who did nothing wrong in those camps.
So these days thugs are fleeing to the Philippines lol
In the Philippines, Koreans should not trust Koreans lol
This is very true.
Yeah this is the start of the Crime City franchise which is still going by the way. The 4th film comes out next year.

A true story film that took place in Chinatown in S.Korea
Ma Dong-seok is also the amazing buff guy (that you guys like) in Train to Busan
Yes we’re watching a bunch of his movies soon!
@@brosnshows yay!!! I can't wait!!!
The bar incident happened in real life, and in the actual incident, the head was cut off, not the hand.
Holy crap!!!
Hello, THE OUTLAWS is the first episode of The Roundup series, with a third episode released in 2023 and a fourth episode scheduled for release this year. I recommend the second episode of The Roundup series, which was released in 2022, and New World.
We actually already watched the second one, but we got a copyright strike because of it and the video was removed :(
Based on a true story. The outlaws 4 will be on theater next year.
The bald guy that was killed by the group was the long haired guy in the Squid Game.
We will! We have seen Train To Busan, #Alive, and Kingdom Season 1 so far! All amazing
WoW~thank you❤
In fact, the reason foreigners do that is because they know that the government doesn't move even if they fight among themselves like that.
That’s actually crazy
It’s on our channel now!
Just so you know, they are planning to make a series out of these films which consists of 8 films titled "Crime City" and the upcoming 4th sequel is going to be released this year titled "The Roundup: Punishment". You should also watch the 3rd one because they expanded to more yakuza enemies lol
You guys absolutely have to watch outlaws 2 & 3😭🥵🔥🔥🔥 it’s AMAZING
I’m editing #2 as we speak!
Ma dong seok was gilgamesh in enternals too !!
Crime City Part 1 was made into a movie based on real events that happened in Korea.
The actual detective who played the role of Ma Dong-seok, the eldest detective, looked similar to Ma Dong-seok. He's a bit short though haha
10:07
I don’t know in what context you felt he was shook, but to me, he seems really pissed until the very moment he starts shaking his neck with no remorse.
It's just Chinese people committing crimes against Chinese in Korea.
recommend part 2 ❤❤
It's a unique movie which you don't get worried about the main character lol

Thank you for the amazing reactions. God speed. 🤍
We are definitely gonna 🩶
11:58 Yo I just realized he's the gangster dude in Squid Game, A lot thinner here, heard he gained weight just for SG
wow, this movie! it's been a while! for more information, the Korean ancestors had to move to Harbin areas for independence movement and counterattack with provisional government during Japanese occupation and those socalled Korean-chinese are actually considered just chinese and hated quite much by Koreans these days. LOL...
Now you gotta watch the sequels, man. The second movie is titled The Roundup and in my opinion it's just as good as the first one. I would also recommend the third one The Roundup: No Way Out, it is also entertaining but it is a dowgrade compared to the first two movies.
We’re on it, trust me we’re excited

That third guy in the gang a hatchet was a gunner guy from Kingdom.
For your information, bald head among the villains is Anhyun's aide in the Kingdom that you're watching lol
You didn't know, did you? LOL😂😂
Wait what????? That’s wild
@@brosnshowsand just to add, the guy who started the zombie apocalypse by feeding people THE dead body (one of the main characters) in Kingdom is the guy who hammers the guy’s (who has debt) fingers in the beginning of the movie. The youngest one in Chang Chen’s group.

They are amazing actors!!
Thank you for responding to the comments
thats our favorite part as well, we started this channel with the goal of getting opinions and thoughts from viewers about their favorite shows and movies
Korea with an agenda for a better life or so-called Korean dream and they basically turned the area where they settled into a den of lawlessness & vileness over time with their old / usual ways (and to boot, most of them are illegal residents - recall the joke about using too much tissue when you're not even paying taxes in the bathroom?)
Koreans began to resent them for leeching off public / social system with zero tax contribution and furthermore seeing their once safe neighborhood riddled with murders, fights, extortion, racketeering, on & on on a daily basis, detest them as well, you calling that oppression (as a motivation to form gangs) is as clear cut as saying chicken came before the egg or vice versa as in what came first, being treated like 'shit' or creating 'shit'?
