Hi I am new to your channel, SUPER helpful, I have just started on Redbubble and like it, Would you make a video about all the print on demand sites there are and which ones you use!!!
Hiya, yes, I can pop this on my list ☺️ Glad you find my content useful, watch this space. I will try get this video up for you within the next couple of weeks 🥰
thank you,you are so helpful, could you make a video explaining why our art is not searchable? I made a society6 store 2 weeks ago and have 5 deisigns but none of my art is searchable...
Heya, I can consider making this video except i'm not sure I know enough about it. It is hard to track given that Society6 doesn't have analytics. Have you tried searching your own work and you can't find it? Even with super niche-like keywords? I have a pink cucumber pattern and it wasn't coming up when I searched that term (only about 6 results returned and mine wasn't one of them) so I reached out to Society6 help about it. Sometimes there can be glitches and that's why your work isn't showing. If you're showing up but it's waaaaaay down the list on search results, consider making designs that are more niche. Also I would say that a 2 week old store is pretty new, I can't say for certain but I think it takes a while for you to rank as an artist. I hope this is helpful? If you're not searchable at all, get in touch with Society6 and find out why :) Thank you for watching :)
@@DesignbyCheyneyomg thank you so much for answering me 💗💗💗 yes I tried even some of the names are super unique and it says there is no such result but mine artwork is with that name... I emailed them yesterday and I am waiting for an answer

I have one art waterfall in autumn. But when I type in search not only I dont se my art and 0% of given results have nothing with waterfall and autumn.
Thank you for this video, but I have question. I draw surface pattern manually and can’t really afford a new iPad to draw on illustrator or photoshop, can I still use society6 to upload my work? If yes, how.
Hiya, there probably is a way, but I am unsure what to suggest as I have always used design software to create digital graphics. Hope you were able to work something out 🥰

Hi Cheyne, I just checked your shop and I noticed that all designs are not protected at all. I am bit worried that other creators might steal your designs then upload them into other POD sites. Is there any settings in Society wherein you can probably put watermarks or something to discourage others to take advantage of what you've posted? Thanks!
Hi Aldrin, thank you for your concern. I have had artwork stolen before, it is so bad that people do that. When people have stolen my work, miraculously it makes it back to me and there are legal avenues to go down. You have a good point, and I don't think Society6 does have watermarks, but I will look into it now that it has been highlighted to me. Thank you for the heads up 😁
You are always welcome. :) Like I've mentioned from your previous video. I'll be joining Society6 on Sept 1. But.. I can't wait any longer LOL 😂 I already created an account yesterday, trying to be familiarized with the site and stumbled to your shop. Then, I noticed that there is no watermarks with your designs. I hope there is a settings where somehow you can secure your designs. I'll probably going to post my first design on Tuesday.
@@Vzenki0507 very exciting, what is your store name? I will take a look after the 1st 😁 I can't recall seeing any watermark option, but at the same token, people can only see the design applied on the products, not the high res artwork on it's own. So I don't think there is a way for people to directly rip the artwork like on other POD sites, without having to recreate their own copy. That isn't ok either, but requires at least a bit of technical skill. People need to use their own unique designs to avoid any intellectual property disputes. I hope that you enjoy Society6, and that you have some luck on there selling your art 😁

Hmmmmm, I’m unsure sorry as I have only used illustrator. If you are starting with a big file, I don’t see why it would be an issue? Hope someone with more Photoshop knowledge is able to jump in and help you :)
Hi, that depends on how you are saving your artwork. If you ware creating it on Adobe Creative Software you can set your artboard size before you start your design/artwork.
Hello! thanks for this video. One question, do you have to legally register the designs that you upload to society6 or simply when you accept the terms and conditions do you demonstrate that they are your own designs? Excuse my English, I'm using a translator hahaha Hugs!!
Hiya, when you upload a design, you need to check a box which states: "Any violation of Society6’s Terms of Service or Copyright & Trademark Policy may result in your artwork being taken down, your account being suspended or terminated, and/or any other remedies or penalties under applicable law. In addition, you will not receive any Artist Share amounts related to such artwork. I represent and warrant that I have the right to upload and use this artwork and it does not violate Society6’s Terms of Service or Copyright & Trademark Policy, including: • I created and own this original artwork. • I did not copy someone else’s artwork, photograph, or design. • I have the right to display any person, character, name, logo, image or quote contained in this artwork." By agreeing to these terms that is enough without having to legally register designs. Watch out for art theft, it happens a lot on the print on demand platforms, I have had it come back to me a few times when people have copied my work. I always wonder how many people get away with it though. Very sad. Best of luck with you store and stay tuned for more Society6 videos. There is a good one on my channel about marketing your designs - Check out my Print on Demand playlist. Thank you for watching :)

Hello Cheyney, is there any specific way besides the ratios of the dimensions of pictures to be uploaded for Metal Printing? Hello 👋! A very useful video, I'm just thinking about registration on this site)) Is it possible to sell patterns or illustrations for printing on Society6, that are already on my microstock? Or do they only work with content created specifically for them?
As long as you created the patterns it is ok with Society6. You retain the IP (intellectual property) of your work and don't transfer any rights over to Society6. I can't speak for Microstock though, check out their terms and see what they say in the artist contributor IP section. Some stock sites make you sign a document where you promise not to sell the same work elsewhere. I hope this helps and best of luck with your store. I have more Society6 videos on my playlist and still to be uploaded, stay tuned 😁

Heya, I am not an expert in this area but I once tried to search ‘pink cucumber pattern’ which were exact keywords I used and only a few results came up and my design wasn’t one of them, I contacted Society6 and they said they had to reset something? It wasn’t registering. If it is low down on the list, for some reason other’s have been prioritised over yours. There are a few reasons this can happen, the order of keywords and whether they match words in your description and title (having a word appear more than once will give a stronger result) or that subject is saturated and I think more popular artists or those who have been on longer will show first. I hope this helps? Might pay to reach out to customer service if you’re concerned about discoverability, they have some good keyword blogs on their site too. Best of luck for your store and thanks for watching 🤗

there are 8 boxes to upload the designs, there are no categories on each box, should it be one kind of design or deifferent designs, or one design but different sizes of pixels? thank you.
Hiya, those are for different versions of your design if you want to use them. I generally only upload one artwork to suit all applications but that gives you the option to say upload a version with a transparent background and/or a design that fits slightly differently on the long and skinny yoga mat as opposed to the rectangle cushion (for example).
