A 6'7 player who's good at defense and can shoot 40% from three is very valuable in the league. Patrick Williams will most likely be getting a big payday this offseason. At this point, if he leaves, I'm affraid we'll see him become a much better player on his next team. Even Derrick Jones Jr, the eighth man off the bench last year, has become a starter on a championship level team.
The key is how he fits in with Vooch. He doesn't. Vooch is not active in the paint, so a PF who can compensate for the lack of in-the-paint activity makes more sense. Get rid of this stand-around sit-in-the-corner waste of talent!
@sachikoisara1183 That's not his game, that's him following the plays set for him and taking a backseat to 3 other Ball Dominate players. You gone find out if he leaves.
I love P-Will as a player. People don't look at the larger picture of his skillset. They either need to sign him, or make a trade that brings back a few 1st (Thunder don't have enough roster spots for all their picks). I would prefer they keep him and move on from Lavine/Vuc. They need to keep developing the youth movement with Coby/Ayo/Pat.
This is the gamble with drafting players so young so high. You are agreeing to overpay for the right to develop them. Then you are put in a position to either commit to them long term for money you think they one day might be worth or you lose them and have waisted 3-4 years. You might get stuck with an Otto Porter Jr, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Markelle Fultz type. Someone who showed flashes, so you couldn’t say no, but then regretted it immediately and for years. Or it may work out and he turns into a very good player to a star. That’s the gamble.
Let derozan walk, match any deal patrick williams get. Let Coby, Pat, Ayo, Dalen, and the 11th pick take as many shots as possible and develop. Also let Zach average his 25 ppg without Derozan and get his value high and trade him and Vooch at the deadline to then get back in the lottery next year. Why is this shit so hard for bulls fans and management?
@joeshoe6184 they love this mediocre stuff man. Content with a clown going on a corny revenge tour at the age of 34 averaging 25 plus while the team is losing and the young guys watching him standing around not developing losing 40 plus games a year. Ridiculous man
It don’t matter if we feel he is a bust💯Pat is a long wing 3 and D defender, if you look at teams that made it far in the playoffs they all have a abundance of long wings that can guard multiple positions..and Pat fits that role, teams around the league value wing defenders

OKC doesn't have to help Chicago with a sign and trade lol they will just pay him and this FO blunders again. I have no doubt that AKME will screw this up
PWill will end up going to OKC and become an All-Star, you can put money on it. That's right AK trade away our best defender and one of our only big guys. Plus he's been used wrong and is not playing his natural position. This FO is a joke
Patrick Williams is NOT a Power Forward.. He does not play like a PF, his instincts are not close to what a PFs would be, he gives you stats of a wing.. Patrick Williams, is a WING... Sign and trade for picks. I love Pat and I wish we could keep him but AKME has absolutely bungled this roster to the point that we need to do a full reset and move on from the last 3-4 years. OKC has so many 1st round picks it's absurd; win-win for both teams and Pat deserves a chance to play for a legitimate organization. Wish we were that for him lol
I often think of the phrase, "It's not the shark, it's the water." There are a TON of factors that come into play when it comes to the development of an NBA rookie. The overall problem COULD be that there's a ceiling on the development of young players when it comes to this organization. It also could be that the light went off in Williams, and he figured it out himself, or that a specific coach taught him something that made the difference. It could be ALL of those things. So while it sucks that Gafford, Jones Jr., Lauri and a few others played better when they left the Bulls, I don't get caught up in the "what ifs". There are just too many factors at play.
I’d be fine paying Patrick around 20 million as long as he takes a team option in the last year of whatever length of the contract they give him. That way it keeps the pressure on him to live up to that money

Williams has been good in defense for certain spouts. Watching him play, he moves too flat footed. His defense is mediocre. Can he get better; yes. Idgaf what nobody says PWill is a beast and he would be far better if we ain’t have demar and Lavine basically stunting his growth smh just think of the young core we would of had Coby Lauri Wendell and PWill oh and the picks we would have kept that core could make the playoffs before this core could imo
People need to start seeing clearly. Yes...Williams has traits but you can't continue to pay big contracts to guys with just traits and no production. Fans talk about the Bulls losing Wendell Carter and Bobby Portis but it was the same scenario. And neither of those players have become stars elsewhere. They're just role players. And replacing players like that is not difficult so why overpay to keep one? Then for those complaining about the Lavine contract. He's been the highest scoring player or second highest scoring player on this team since he's been here. I mean if you're not paying that guy then who are you paying? Especially when they're still relatively young.
I rather overpay him than pay demar a max deal. Its about time patrick williams should get more plays and become the team's 2nd or 3rd opion. Give him that oppprunity. Let lavine become the true 1 and let the young guys like coby ayo and patrick fight for second spot.

I will let demar walk sign patrick and drummomd to a good deal, trade vooch for jerami grant. Then ill find a back up center for drummomd. Now you have coby lavine patrick grant and drummond. Also, it is really hard to excel when youre frequently injured Idk unless OKC is offering at least 1-2 FRP, i say keep trying with paw. He WILL do better eventually, and we desperately need the athletic 3, defensive power and shooting capability
Pat hasnt shown enough to get a contract bigger than Coby's. So quite frankly, thats where I'd start. If they dont like it, I'd tell them to go find a contract and if it's bigger than what I'd like to match, I'd wish him well on his future endeavors. Hopefully work out a S&T, but like you said, if a team with space offers him a contract then we wont have that choice.

It's time to cash in. If OKC is offering picks, they have to take it. They have no future other than continuing mediocrity. Than again, the Gar/Pax 2.0 front office will do the opposite of what's good for the team
He's a bum that only average 9 points a game with so so defence and stays injured! He's not growing what you seen with this scrub is what your gonna get. I hope to God they move on.
They will let him walk like they do with all their young tenant Gafford Marksnsn Portis Jones
Pat will is a bust I don’t why they drafted him in the first place!!!
Okc just wants another jwill off the bench whereas for us, he could ultimately be our 2nd or 3rd option. Also, it is really hard to excel when youre frequently injured
Idk unless OKC is offering at least 1-2 FRP, i say keep trying with paw. He WILL do better eventually, and we desperately need the athletic 3, defensive power and shooting capability
Trade him. He has value. The Bulls will get good draft picks in return.
P-Wil will always be a supporting player.
Get rid of him.
Sign and trade for josh giddey and picks
Bro really said Josh giddey
bruh
@@ShadeexposerI agree with him. Giddey is 21yo and as we know had a few issues this season and his upside as the main ball handler is huge.
simply the bulls have been a terrible team for young players for quite some time.
He's a bum get what you can as quick as you can before they come to their senses.
Is he really athletic? Where do you really see that? He's 6'7" with a slow game. Dozens of other guys his size are much quicker and more athletic.
I'm okay with no more pwill. So tired of watching him play. Give Julian Phillips his minutes
Pay up? Dang Jamal, you are on a major streak of moves I strongly disagree with. You’re in pretty much lockstep w AKMEs plan and it ain’t working. What’s so hard to see this roster needs a major overhaul??
Did you watch the video or just look at the title?
@@BullsCentral15-20 million for his current production plus injury history is still a tough pill to swallow. Let the Thunder have him if they're willing to include a draft pick.
@@BullsCentral title but I’ve listened to so many recent ones and they are coming off as apologies for akme’s plans and that we “have to” or we have no choice. I don’t accept at all that we just have to accept losing. We don’t
@@walker1984 uhhh... Ya kinda still have to pay and sign him to trade him. 🤷
If you don't, you don't get ANYTHING back.
@Sandcrackattack I understand the concept of a sign and trade. The Nets did one when they got Durant even though he could have just signed with them. We could negotiate taking a player that doesn't really fit with the Thunder as well along with a second round pick.
First
He’s a bust! No swag and always injured
I say trade him
Watch him do better 🤣
His progression is disappointing huh? Call me a stan bc you can't think beyond that but maybe trading for vuch in his rookie year then getting dro and Lonzo probably stunted his progression because he went from building block to option #5 in less than a year
