And Russ is a very intelligent players, he knows a lot about basketball, bro. Jokic didn´t ask for a young player who has to learn, he asked for someone who has played many hundreds of big games so there is nothing you have to teach him.

Even another "All-star" player will do just fine with Joker, it doesn't have to be ex-MVP. Just anyone better then Jamal these days (which isn't so hard obviously).
Malone doesn't value russ for shii. If he actually valued russ he wouldn't sub him out when he's on a streak. Tbh he would start him in the first place

The hate for Russ only started when he played for the Lakers and with LeBron because the Lakers weren't very good and Bron fans and media NEEDED to blame someone other than LeBron like they blamed Cleveland's management, Bosh, Love, and this time Westbrook, they now blame DLo. It's called a scapegoat. While in LAC, during the playoffs against PHX, Russ proved to the casual fans how elite he really is. He did everything on the court for the Clippers against a far better Suns team. He made that series competitive.
Waaaay before then fella. He been sorry as shih😂 No basketball I.Q.. He needs a high I.Q. guy like Jokic leading him while making him think it's the other way around.
I instantly knew this matchup will be big fun! Two of my favourite players together. Joker has a Matchplan for Russ, that's why he wanted him. The slander about this trade was hilarious. Btw I think they respect each other a ton and their quirky funny characters and opposite playstyles just match up.
I don’t know why, but for some reason the NBA media always wanted me to look down on Westbrook, and it never made sense. I’ve never seen the man dog out his teammates. And it never made sense that a man could average more than 10 assists and be selfish. Russ won me over years ago with his on court enthusiasm for the game and support for his teammates. Makes sense that Joker wanted him. From a Spurs fan.
Thing with the media and russ, it is mostly guys who have never played who continue to trash him. Most of the guys in the media who played the game praise and defend him constantly. They know that motor he has got is a gift. You got players who played against Jordan and kobe who will say no one plays harder than russ on every single play.
This is the kind of character they needed. Every playoff series last year for Denver, they had to play catch-up. Unfortunately a team as good as Minnesota playing catch-up bit them in the ass and sent them home. Russell's energy is an ignition for Denver, and Jokic is the measured and collected strategist. This actually a genius-level trade.
Russ, Murray, MPJ, AG, and Joker actually seems like the scariest starting five in the playoffs rn. As long as they’re only passing to MPJ when they want him to shoot I think this team could run deep this year when healthy.
Anyone who plays with LeBron has their reputation dragged through the mud in order to deflect blame. That's why Westbrook is known as a "locker room vampire" when in reality it's LeBron who drains the life out of everyone he plays with.
I sincerely hope Westbrook continue to shine there, and win a championship. His fire, Kobe him at one point in time, as the closest player to him in term of the mentality.
It helps when people believe in you. You can actually take more risks or shots or better, confident decisions. When people are putting you down, it just makes you insecure on the court. And then you hesitate to shoot or pass, or whatever.
AG and MPJ stepped up recently. Murray fell off, so he needs to sit on the bench and give some space to Westy. Then Nuggets have to rotate CB for offense and Watson for defense and Strawther for 3s. This is the way.
Unintentional though, Westbrook came in to show MPJ & Murray “the way” only MPJ improved & he was mentally destroyed by family drama so it’s hard to say it helped him… meaning it’s 100% for Murray and Murray’s doubling down on an attitude, “being great like Drake” fake.
Russ sees the floor well and makes good decisions just like Jokic, and that is why they work well together. Denver still needs a bit of help, but Jokic can carry them far by himself. Russ's play will be a key part to success if a championship is the goal.
If Nuggets make it to the Play Offs this season, that´s when we´ll see the real Russ. And at the Play Offs, that´s when it matters most, specially in clutch moments I think he can be that surprise factor and help Jokic, Murray, AG, Watson, Braun, MPJ etc... hopefully win a second Championship. Great video and much needed. As a big LJ fan, I was still disappointed in how Westbrook (still the most energetic player imo in the league) was used by him and the Lakers. Lakers have since the bubble team.been weak on 3&D, which both Russ and LeBron (who have some similar strengths and weaknesses) need from their team. I disagree. Russ is amazing but he’s also aging. He’s shown he can come off the bench and hold it down while some starters rest up. He’s where he should be
I will never understand how an average basketball fan can't appreciate that. And then celebrate a player who stands around on defense and cherry picks for easy fast break buckets. @@swaymcthunder1219You cant thank Curry and the three point era for that. If you arent shooting the 3pt well in this era everyone is quick to point it out but if you dont play defense nobody cares. I'll take what Westbrook brings to the game than any average 3pt shooter. He can defend, playmake and drive to the basket with the best of them.
@outlander234 Lebron has never been a good 3 point shooter, doesn't get nearly the same hate. Giannis, Butler, and SGA are all guys that are popular who don't shoot much 3 pointers. Curry has nothing to do with this. This has to do with the media and people being lazy. Media tells people to hate Russ, vast majority will follow without doing any of their own homework. The whole bad teammate narrative is the perfect example. Absolutely no truth in the statement, yet this is one of the main arguments haters use. Only because people like skip and cowherd told them so. Just like when those videos about Jordan having no left that went viral on TikTok. No truth, but many ran with it anyways.
Even to qustion abilitys of record holder for triple doubles in the NBA is ludacris, and showes how media can twist and turn anything they want. Russ has so many flaws as a basketball player, but he gives it his all each and every play. I love Russ for that. Even at his age, no one plays harder than him.
3:02 IM CRYING 🤣
Ts frying me rn 😂💀
Right on time bro. As I read your comment 😂
love brodie
He built differently!!!!!
Everyone thought Westbrook was an old horse,
Jokic saw that he was a mature stallion🐎
Joker pulled an Antonio brown to Tom Brady patriot move . Love it
8:10 Misunderstood star a shot at redemption? He won MVPs and million of dollars that was the misunderstanding no one took away
Thanks for the video.
don;t know what would happen but really look forward to this team achieving greatness again. it is a very nice attempt.
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Yo, I’m subscribing. I enjoyed your video.
Three fingers in the thumbnail with that title is CRAAAZY
I see what you did there, on the thumbnail 😂
(although the three fingers should be joined together)
why is MPJ not mentioned when shooting is discussed
he's supposed to be Denver's shooter
He never was considered a spot up shooter he was known as a scorer
Nice video :)
Even to qustion abilitys of record holder for triple doubles in the NBA is ludacris, and showes how media can twist and turn anything they want. Russell Westbrook is one of the
all time greats and like him or not that is the fact, and Jokic, being who he is, saw a great oportunity to finnaly have along side him someone who can deliver.
Thank you for video... Russ deserves this praise 🙏🏾
Excellent analysis. By far the best I have heard on this subject. Great. Subscribed. Take care of IPR steal too.
Thanks so much for subscribing! Your support means a lot, and I’m thrilled you found the analysis valuable!
@@hoopersln Thank you for your response. I saw your content in some other channel and I was so glad that I commented exactly as above. Someone then pointed out that the content actually was created by you and it has been simply stolen and republished. Made me feel very sad and angry. Truth be told such a behavior is beyond my comprehension. May be the consequence of Darwinism. I am thankful to the person who pointed this out so that I can let you know how I felt. I guess we have to live with all these. Cheers.
@@vanamalik3989 ya unfortunately ppl do that! Thank you for the support! More 🔥 content coming!

I love this story - I'm a fan of a certain underperforming team in the eastern conference but rooting for this to succeed in the West
Wizards?
@TheRealPunisher Nh we know the wizards are bad so they aren't underperforming. I am a sixers fan, of course.
Beastbrook is back 🔥❤️
Gary Peyton & Russel Westbrook are Great Combo!!
