@@DailyDoseOfFootballYTCould you make one about Coutinho (The golden left foot), i dont know mutch about his history but here in Brazil he is a legend, he played with Pele in the 50’s. Talking about Brazil 50’s, there are a lot of talents there.
Juninho is a legend. A very intelligent player, one of most progressive figures in Brazilian football. He acts as commentator from time to time, only on UA-cam channels now because networkds have banned him since he openly critizes the misguided conservatism so prevalent in Brazilian policits. The man is an icon, a true hero!
he got booted from his gig as a commentator because he criticized "setoristas" who are Brazilian professionals who work for the press by providing dedicated coverage of a specific team from the sidelines.
Juninho was amazing. I'm sure he would've got closer to a Ballon d'Or if he played for Barca or Real but he made a great era for Lyon which will make him a saint in that city forever.
I would like to highlight a personal piece of information, however, that no one comments, it is about this team from Vasco da Gama, which Juninho Pernambucano was part of. This lineup is the greatest team ever assembled in the twenty-first century. This team was simply deadly and had the best players of the period and many others who came to be consecrated. Simply unforgettable.
My Physical Education teacher until high school was his sister (Betinha). Ricardo Rocha was born in my hood and used to play against my uncle on the football fields. I am a Sport Recife fan and a former athlete of the club... Man, his life intersected with mine a lot.
I was a goalkeeper for Al Gharafa's U19 team when Juninho played there and trained with the first team a couple of times, even being in goal while he practiced his ferocious freekicks. He'd put so much pace and swerve on the ball, there wasn't even a point trying to save it half the time. Honored to have had the experience, and to save a few of them 😂
And the craziest thing is, Juninho was not Vasco's prefered player from that Sport squad. Vasco signed him alongside Sport's Striker Leonardo, but could not afford the payment so one of them had to go back to Sport. Juninho offered to go back, but Sport insisted on Leonardo. Juninho stayed in Vasco and made history.
Amazing video! I understand that Serie A strikes your videos, so I'll stop asking for the Inzaghi video 🤣 Maybe make a video on Didier Deschamps? The original water carrier 6 who had "no talent" but was the true anchor of his team.
The goat, watching Ligue 1 just for him back then, Lyon was an incredible team in the 2000s, veeeery pleasant to watch, a shame they couldn’t win a UCL
Can you talk about Paulo Roberto Falcão? From leading Internacional to the only unbeaten victory in the brazilean championship to being a step away of conquering Europe with Rome, he's one of the best Registas of all time for sure
As noted in the video, he was so dominant at free kicks that teams had to come up with new tactics to try defend his free kicks in Ligue 1. As Fred noted, teams became more cautious with their fouling.
As a cule, I remember 2009 when we dominated all aspects of football and when we faced Lyon, I knew it would be like taking a walk. What I never expected was that free kick from Juninho, since then I became his fan. The guy is the goat of free kicks, and there will be no other like him. With fewer games than Messi and Ronaldo, he is the best free-kick taker in history.
Back in the good ol'days. Nowadays this guy would be the main name in the brazilian national team but back then he was just a very good player among many in the team, when the seleção was THE SELEÇÃO. We miss exceptional guys like him.
Hands down the best free kick taker ever... Juninho. And you have some random kids saying Messi and Ronaldo are better than taking free kicks than Juninho... I still remember his free kick against Barcelona with that ridiculous angle. Juninho is probably the most underrated player ever... Thank you for bringing light to this story.
One of the best midfiled in modern history (and surely the best freekicker !) ! The fact that he stayed in Lyon for so long shows that this man is one of his kind.
in 2000 when i was a kid who believe that Beckham is the best freekick taker. and then i found out Highlight videos from ligue1 i got my jawdroped this guy is sureal. Magic
You've already made videos about two very good Brazilians, but unknown internationally, Zico and Alex. One suggestion, there is a very high level player but probably even less known, Ademir da Guia. He deserves a video too.
Ademir, good shoutout. Zico was well-known enough in the Lusophone world but I think he needs to be featured nonetheless (he wasn't yet, was he?). Another missing name is Cafu, absolutely no idea why he's never been featured just yet.
Hey buddy, I grew up in England during Beckham's manchester united/ England captain days. He was my favourite player and he is truly one of the greatest ever free kick takers in history. As much as I dislike Brazil (because of the fans and not the players), Juninho Pernambucano can NEVER BE MATCHED ON FREE KICKS. Eternal GOAT of set-pieces. Unlike David Beckham, Lionel Messi and Michel Plattini, Juninho had NO RANGE LIMIT. I saw him score from 41 yards and a week later from 37. The following season, he scored two free kicks in the same game and both from exactly 34 yards. One in each half (he only attempted two direct free kicks in that game and scored both).

Great video and great storytelling, by the way.
Juninho Pernambucano is today one of Vasco da Gama's biggest idols 💢 He scored the historic goal against River Plate in the semi-final, which made the player star in our main song during the games "Contra o River Plate, sensacional. Gol do Juninho! Monumental 🎶"
It's great to see channels from other places grateful for Juninho's football, which revolutionized France with Lyon. Obrigado pelo vídeo 🇧🇷
Juninho was just a baller.
brilliant video. could you do one about the other juninho. the middlesbrough one. juninho paulista
where's the eyes emoji when you need it
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYT both players are class
At Vasco da Gama we call him our Little King. Top 3 of our biggest idols
My grandpa whos 90 requested u do dennis law. I told him about you, and he said u had real ball knowledge lol. ur a great yt, keep it up
Please tell the story of Bobby Firmino 🙏. You're a wonderful story teller.
The Best football channel of youtube!
Great video, as usual, and I hope you consider making a video about ENZO FRANCESCOLI more people need to know about him.
been on my list for years, just never happened
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYTCould you make one about Coutinho (The golden left foot), i dont know mutch about his history but here in Brazil he is a legend, he played with Pele in the 50’s. Talking about Brazil 50’s, there are a lot of talents there.
Juninho is a legend. A very intelligent player, one of most progressive figures in Brazilian football. He acts as commentator from time to time, only on UA-cam channels now because networkds have banned him since he openly critizes the misguided conservatism so prevalent in Brazilian policits. The man is an icon, a true hero!
Lol
@@criminalmind27 I like Juninho but unfortunately he supports the corrupts, in my view he is naive and not a crook
he got booted from his gig as a commentator because he criticized "setoristas" who are Brazilian professionals who work for the press by providing dedicated coverage of a specific team from the sidelines.
Even his family avoided him when his leftist militancy behavior got extreme. Despite that, he was a great player.
imagine being conservative😂 juninho is right
Juninho was amazing. I'm sure he would've got closer to a Ballon d'Or if he played for Barca or Real but he made a great era for Lyon which will make him a saint in that city forever.
Juninho is my spirit animal, inspired me so much not only on the field.
Great video!
Nice vids the soo listen to this hits different
Com esse sotaque eu presumo que tu é BR mano kkkk
Parabéns pelos excelentes vídeos!
Great player. One of the best I've ever seen. Intelligent, skillful and good character.
Amazing to see how you seem to respect and know brazilian football, with great images e stories well told!
I am from Pernambuco, and what he did with Sport and Vasco, was legendary!
Maneira! What a great player and great human being. In near future (and yes there is a free kick connection here) please feature Dirceu!
Please make a video on Lucas Vazquez 🙏🏻. He’s an underrated Madrid legend
Amazing video! I understand that Serie A strikes your videos, so I'll stop asking for the Inzaghi video 🤣
Maybe make a video on Didier Deschamps? The original water carrier 6 who had "no talent" but was the true anchor of his team.
Deschamps was Makelele before Makelele. Similar playing style and physical stature.
Great, Amazing player. I am from Pernambuco like him, so greeting from Recife, Pernambuco.
Juninho Pernambucano. The first difficult footballer name I learned when I was a kid. Those kicks are like guided missiles. Unmatched till now.
What an ending !!!😭…Bravo Bravo👏🏼
The goat, watching Ligue 1 just for him back then, Lyon was an incredible team in the 2000s, veeeery pleasant to watch, a shame they couldn’t win a UCL
my childhood idol! Reizinho da Colina!!!
im glad to see Juninho getting recoignition
Can you talk about Paulo Roberto Falcão? From leading Internacional to the only unbeaten victory in the brazilean championship to being a step away of conquering Europe with Rome, he's one of the best Registas of all time for sure
You are an amazing storyteller absolute genius the stories are amazing you express so much emotion can you make one for salem aldawsari
Please make a video on Ricardo kaka . He is one of my favourite players
As noted in the video, he was so dominant at free kicks that teams had to come up with new tactics to try defend his free kicks in Ligue 1.
As Fred noted, teams became more cautious with their fouling.
Maybe you can do a video on the Juninho of throw-ins, Rory Delap?
As a cule, I remember 2009 when we dominated all aspects of football and when we faced Lyon, I knew it would be like taking a walk. What I never expected was that free kick from Juninho, since then I became his fan. The guy is the goat of free kicks, and there will be no other like him. With fewer games than Messi and Ronaldo, he is the best free-kick taker in history.
Vasco will never forget.
He's a god in Lyon, France.
Back in the good ol'days. Nowadays this guy would be the main name in the brazilian national team but back then he was just a very good player among many in the team, when the seleção was THE SELEÇÃO. We miss exceptional guys like him.
Juninho era uma máquina em gols de falta! Monstro!!
Hey guys. Nice videoo
My brother in christ, where r u from? Your accent speaking portuguese was crazy
im portuguese lol
Hands down the best free kick taker ever... Juninho. And you have some random kids saying Messi and Ronaldo are better than taking free kicks than Juninho... I still remember his free kick against Barcelona with that ridiculous angle. Juninho is probably the most underrated player ever... Thank you for bringing light to this story.
Yes they are better juninho was always in trash leagued
@adityadas6638 no ball knowledge 🤣 ☝️
@@chill.man12 shut up barcelona butchered this overrated Brazilian in UCL 🤣
@@adityadas6638 obvious rage bait, no time for some idiotic things like this and people like you😭🙏
@chill.man12 obviously u are an ignorant trash can't accept juninho was a mediocre player
Nice video as always bro! Can you do a video on van der vaart please
Love your story telling skills
One of the best midfiled in modern history (and surely the best freekicker !) ! The fact that he stayed in Lyon for so long shows that this man is one of his kind.
Obrigado por este vídeo!!! 🫶🏾
Contra o River Plate sensacional, gol do Juninho, monumental 💢💢💢 me emocionei vendo a parte da libertadores do vascão
Hard to decide between him and Becks, same era, remember these discussions as a teenager when these 2 were smashing it
What a team Lyon had in them days.
Really the goat of FKs
HE WAS AN AMAZING PLAYER.🔥.
in 2000 when i was a kid who believe that Beckham is the best freekick taker. and then i found out Highlight videos from ligue1 i got my jawdroped this guy is sureal.
Always bought him in Fifa 08 manager mode lol
Ronald Koeman, R. Carlos and Juninho are Golden Era elite level Freekick specialists.. 🐐
One in each half (he only attempted two direct free kicks in that game and scored both).
one of the few players that's universally loved by fans worldwide
and he made his name in history, the greatest free kick taker of all time
Please do a video on Raí, Sócrates' brother
Great video, except for the cliffhanger at the end; what happened? Presumably he got hurt, but more information would've been nice
W vids can you do a vid on Guti one my favourite players 🙏 he’s passing was just 👌🏾
“ you can say your goodbyes, you won’t be here for long “
