Now I am hooked to Inspector Wexford... I am on a Wexford marathon ! This is my third night in a row that I am watching this series. Thanks for the upload 😁😁😁😁.... Subscribed 😀
I have watched the entire Series before. Now watching it again after almost 2/3 years. Still a Great Serial to watch again n again. I love how well presented it is. Thank you so much for uploading this . Love from *India* ❤️
I happened upon your channel by pure accident and Yikes! I’m incredibly glad I did so! Without these uploads, I would have missed this brilliant program, along with some other great mysteries. Few can compete with the British when it comes to a good mystery tale. Thank you very much!
So glad I found your channel. I love mysteries and am tired of watching Poirot and Father Brown 5 times over or more. Inspector Wexford keeps a person guessing. Great for my insomnia. .
I've seen many, not all, of the Wexford episodes. To me, this is the very best one. Great script. Great acting. Intriguing. Moving. Surprise at end. I love Brit mysteries. Will save this one, and watch again in future. That says how special this movie is. THANK YOU, Paul.
These are so excellent. I particularly like the longer ones. Perfect to watch especially when times are difficult. What a clever mind Ruth Randall had. Thank you. 😊
These are psychological mysteries that are a pleasure to find! It is strange to top off these twists in behavior with our current emotional twists and very heavy going daily coping with the pandemic and political craziness. Ruth Rendell is a favorite author and she knew a thing or two about the human flirtation with evil. Stay safe all!
Greetings from Poland!! This Inspector Wexford is great. Can't stop watching the series. It's nice to imagine such a block of a guy really exists to come and solve your problems... Thanks, Paul :)
Stay safe, Poland! So glad you have found this series, Ewa. We all need to escape into the realms of detective fantasy during these difficult times. By the way, there is a total of 22 or 23 Wexford episodes, but I don't know if Mr. Paul Godard has been able to upload them all yet.
Osnat Shaibe Yes, I strongly agree with your articulate comments. When I watch these shows I’m completely drawn into the story. I’m fond of some of the American cop dramas from the 70’s such as Rockford files & Hunter, But I do get very annoyed with the over use of “umm” & “ah”, after every other word, when they can’t remember a few simple lines. Sometimes I’ve got no choice but turn it off for a while because of this gripe of mine. When I watch the British shows I see the proof of quality is so obvious. I guess it’s cheaper to produce a show which isn’t constantly filming wild fast car chases & explosions every week so they put more attention into the actors & their lines and the quality is clear. I also enjoy Midsommer Murder.👍👍👍👍😊😊😎Thank you.
Been doing much the same. Three episodes today. Reg and Mike and their families will always be with me as has been Midsomer Murders for so many many years before I discovered this! THANK YOU! 😊
Definitely the best of the Wexford mysteries I've seen so far. Such an intriguing storyline twisting and turning in unexpected directions. Very good indeed.
Thank you l enjoy these videos so much. I used to watch Jack Frost, Colin Dexters’ Inspector Morse, . Wallander, Old Tricks, Endeavour, Shetland,,,etc. ❤️🇨🇦👍
I never watched the series when they were aired and have only just statutes watching them now and am pleasantly surprised at how good they are. This episode in particular is excellent. Thank you very much for uploading them.
Excellent English production. Really fascinating to observe and reflect on the clothing styles and automotive designs, etc. from the very early '90s. Brings back a lot of memories of my own days then; some good, others, well....
Dorothy Tutin, lady with the beautiful brown eyes. Another great episode from this excellent series. Its been raining all afternoon where I am and watching this fine series has brightened up this otherwise gloomy day. Thanks very much for taking the time to upload for everyone to enjoy, i know i have.
This is how I remember the British police in the 60’s. I miss that era. I was a New York Police Inspector. The culture there was more prim and proper. No vulgarity, professionalism was the key.
Thanks very much for the upload This has restarted my interest in this wonderful series. Self isolation at the moment is made more bearable with quality product like this to watch.
Thank you from Gainesville, Florida. I’ve just discovered Inspector Wexford and I’m quite enjoying these episodes. Love British mysteries. Thanks again 🦋
For the past few nights I've been watching these uploads you've done and really enjoyed them. I have trouble falling asleep but the last three nights I've fallen asleep nicely and stayed asleep. Thank you so much for uploading this program.
This is such a tragic and romantic story. Peter Egan is an elegant actor. I like the scene in the phone box, he dried his eyes and a drop of rain cried on the glass. Elegant and poetic.
Fascinating story, indeed. The actors so top in their respective roles. Thank you for posting. Blessed be that people own trauma and its effects now, and have been learning in many ways how to truly heal that in our psyches and bodies. I found myself thinking that 15 years later, that so young child would have been of course given a true therapist and ways to heal up, so that the tragic life's walk that was shown here would not be imposed also on her as well. A tale of why to handle one's life and one's childrren's lives straight on, and why. These are stories as " entertainment" but so well done on the scale of acting, that they resonate many good and deep questions, as all theatre is meant to do...as in what is a marriage truly, what is it to be in the Church (that one always complicated, of course, as it's meant to be in those religions), and much more. Thanks again.
What started me watching inspector Wexford, Yes there Copper's and they crack the cases. But what it really was I had an Uncle Tony that is been passed away decades ago,. But the actor that plays ---- inspector Wexford could be my, Uncle Tony's twin brother. And that is how I got hooked on inspector Wexford series. So thank you ever so much for all these great episodes
What an absolutely fascinating story with the 'did he or didn't he do it' tension kept up throughout, to the discomfort of all. Then right at the end, a stunning plot twist resolves all the tensions caused by the doubt over Painter's guilt. Great cast of actors in this episode and Peter Egan brought his usual kindly, smooth charm to his role.
This is a great episode of Wexford. Sharon Maughan was gorgeous; and I remember her featuring in the original Morse series as Kate Dorn in the episode Deceived by Flight (which I think was made just a bit before this). It is very interesting to see Dorothy Tutin, a wonderful character actress, as well as Peter Egan.
The ending is always well done in this series. And seeing the British way of conduct is interesting as an American observer. I'm always fascinated by how different they are from us. This series is among the best tv shows of all time. Extremely well written and crafted. Everyone has a different favorite. If you haven't seen them all yet, I'm sure you will want to.
Great episode, with many twists and red herrings. I was a bit shocked, though, at the proposal of the storyline. Who cares what the father had done when the girl was little? Is that enough to break off an engagement? She says to Charles that it would gnaw at their relationship sooner or later. Really? And then they're all hopping with happiness when, I don't want to do a spoiler, when the mother reveals her truth. All obstacles overcome. This was 1991 but it did have a medieval ring to it. Anyway, thanks for all your uploads; I'm having a great time watching these.

Thanks be to God. I was starting to think that an innocent man has been hanged in England for a crime he didn't commit. Thanks for posting. Great series.
I can't tell you how wonderful it is that you managed this feat and how grateful people are!!! I well remember the story of radio shows dating back to the Goon shows where reels of unmatched humour was … recycled; Monty Python and co. were a bit luckier, but these are absolute gems. I have a techy genius in my life and will prevail upon him to unearth things I've long missed in this brilliant category. Many tx again!!!
Well said. The fact that the BBC deleted so many brilliant television productions from the tapes is nothing less than scandalous and disgusting. Shame on them.
Since I was born and live on the Isle of Wight, it was nice to see their little trip starting off with the drive along the sea front at Ventnor (where I spent a lot of my misspent youth), also along the Military Road (built to service the troops stationed there on the gun batteries at Freshwater Bay and the Needles, as the original road fell away with cliff falls), to overlook Freshwater Bay, and ending up besides St Catherine's Lighthouse , at Niton, where I went to my first school in the 1950's. Which made the film more interesting for me, as I have visited these places so many times over the years. Happy days.
So those brief shots really were made on the Isle of Wight! Thank you for filling in the details as a native. The island looks very pretty, only a trifle bare (no woods). I would like to know more about it, as I have never visited there as far as I know.

5th night this week visiting Kings Markham with Inspector Wexford 😊 Thanks again Paul for sharing these with us.

Just found this stellar British series. And am addicted as well
And l read all the books. This is a surprise.💕
New too!
Same here every afternoon one video of the series cannot get over it
Thank you, I used to watch these as a teenager living in Wales, I currently live in Australia and still prefer English programmes the best.
I’m Australian. But both my parents emigrated from Britain and I have always loved English movies 👏👏🥰🥰🥰🥰

Thank you very much!
Well maybe. If true. It is only because they have had a longer history and more practice at murdering people in real life.
Yes the British dramas and serials are good at mystery plots
I normally can figure out who the murderer is. But the Brits have all the plot twists. Love it.
Never seen Inspector Mike playful, laughing and joking,he is always so long faced and serious.Wonderful gem to watch again thank you J.....
I can't get enough of this Wexford series. Every time I think I've figured it out, they throw in another twist. One red herring after another. 💓
I feel the same way about this show. I just ran across it and I’ve been binge watching it non stop! Really keeps you guessing
I finished and still don't know who killed the old lady. 😄 But don't post a spoiler!
