    NGN is going to have long White beard when he finally get all 52 descent comms xD

  • @justinmoore8641
    @justinmoore8641 8 місяців тому +9

    Descent is hard, and there are 52 total descent comms. I have heard a few of these so it's not in order. But one thing that ngn is gonna love. Is that there were 2 operators for cal to go against the supposed prototypes of the black tusk gear, 2 agents, one are former dear enemy Vivian Conely, who was also a former Ortiz engineer and ended up as an agent for cal and the division, before becoming head of the cleaners, and the other, which will throw more shade for ngn to love, was Agent Johnson. I confirmed it from a descent comm where cal was giving his agents and operatives a pep talk about being ready for the simulation. So this throws a lot of suspicion about Agent Johnson being the recruiter with his direct connection to Cal, and maybe even Ortiz and the simulation, meaning that both Conely and Johnson were both properly trained operatives and first wave agents, one of said agents is dead thanks to us, another who suddenly popped up. Also another thing worth mention, there are black tusk elements the deeper you go into descent, usually it's gonna be sometime after you encounter nemesis but they are something that can be simulated, or it's possible they could have infiltrated the simulation and act as a white blood cell. Another thing worth mentioning is the mobile shade network having problems since agent Johnson appeared, but i think it might be something else, like a certain device that was black tusk origin that contained a scan of manny and Maris love. And last theory of mine is that possibly the descent is using pulled data from isac to create these factions and enemies, possibly evolving, and the Nemesis is supposed to be a copy of you, your weapon, your skills, yet it can hack your gear like a hunter, either the descent was made for agents as well as prototype warhounds, or maybe even a hunter training program. Who knows but that's my thought. Feel free to discuss and prove me wrong but I love Ngn and the Division and all it's lore. Hopefully I can find a team some day and meet anyone around.

    • @baltogames1501
      @baltogames1501 3 місяці тому

      Maybe the same entity who infiltrated the simulation has also infiltrated the dev team. The Nemeses are supposed to be clones of the agents, but they always seem to have Oxidizers, Multiple Sniper Turrets in one ( Have to destroy 3 when they only deployed one), Healing Chems, and Seeker Mines when we're only rocking Decoys and Scanner Pulses.

    With all do respect, the evidence on Amherst is honestly not probable cause and I don’t think it’s enough for the him to be consider a threat. We have the benefit of hindsight but it’s really difficult to assume this and the real story here is the argument about how invasive are we willing to get track everyone who could be a potential threat even when they aren’t. This is minority report level arguments and it could have a influence on how we perceive our actions against certain rogue agents and factions.

    I sure would love for them to address how descent has some factions like the hyenas, outcasts and cleaners present. If all this was programmed a year or two before the dollar flu, the existence and look and feel of said factions wouldn’t be just some sort of ‘ooh, AI really is super science’ concept, it would be more or less mystical clairvoyance.
    Black tusk makes sense and to some degree the true sons (just think of them as regular American army/national guard troops) but the others are just kinda…odd. Something simple like ‘oh, Wally reprogrammed the opposing forces a little’ might do the trick.
    Oh well, we got half a years worth of comms to go!

  • @rob5984
    @rob5984 8 місяців тому +11

    Good on you, sir, for actually making it through Decent and picking up the comms. I just can't seem to get into the game mode, probably because I always seem to die so quickly. While I do want to listen to the comms, what I really want is the blueprints available through Decent because I'm missing a good number from not playing anything before season 8. I guess at some point I'll need to give it a whirl again.
    All that said, Nat is certainly suspicious of Claire Ortiz's motives in some of these tests. Why create such a complex, and expensive, scenario just to test some Warhounds. I'm certain that she is well aware of what's going on.
    Beyond that, I'm really not liking Cal. Maybe it's the good ol' boy accent or the fact that he's just an ass, he certainly does not seem to be making decisions to the benefit of the American people. And, while I agree that all politicians are corrupt, he's the Secretary of Homeland Security at this point and is an elected official of the US government. So he should be trying to do things for the American people. Instead, he's even more interested on the data collection capabilities of ISAC. Although the volume of data that ISAC is picking up has to be just massive. Even if ISAC is doing its own sorting, there have to be petabytes of data being collected daily. Where is all this being stored? While someone like Google may have teams of people that spend their entire days building new servers and adding new storage, that is absolutely not the case for the US government or Ortiz Robotics. They are much more limited. Which does make this a bit weird.
    Going back to what I know for work, training an AI requires massive processing capacity and large data sets. These are really only available in cloud environments, which is why it's expensive to train an AI like ChatGPT. The fact that the Ortiz's have manged to cobble not one but three different AIs together on an operation that has to be smaller is really bordering on unbelievable. Then to suggest that ISAC can monitor data from every single person, which is the only way some of those echo's could be created or comms intercepted, suggests truly ginormous storage capabilities. Setting up even a relatively small data centre is ballpark USD 10 million. Nat cannot be forking over that much cash to Ortiz Robotics. I mean, maybe once or twice to get the warhounds, but certainly not enough to create the sort of technology that they supposedly have.
    Anyway, back to Cal. What a jerk. Obviously he's more concerned with whether Gordon Amherst is sleeping with one of his co-eds than whether he's creating biological weapons. And I'm with the analyst that they can't confirm either way what's happening, so do something more specific to try and find out? Pass his name to the NSA, which is outside Homeland Security anyway. They have all sorts of ELINT capabilities. Or the FBI who could have some folks tail him for a while. I mean, it can't possibly be a problem that Amherst is collaborating with a Russian guy that makes virus printers, can it?
    This is where, in many ways, the story starts to break down for me. Too many deliberately stupid decisions on the part of certain players, and too little likelihood of ISAC having an appropriate supporting infrastructure. Data centres are not the 3 banks of server blades that we see in the Jefferson Trade Centre mission. They're MASSIVE. It's also a case where, in an effort to provide more information, they're also doing a George Lucas and re-writing some things while making other stuff non-canon. At least to some extent. I guess we'll have to see how this plays out.
    All that said, I think you're right. Nobody really ever expected The Division to be activated. That's why there are so many super dysfunctional personalities. Of course, what does that say about our character? How screwed up are we? We don't talk, but otherwise we're pretty much bloodthirsty killers who leave no resource behind.
    🤷‍♂🤣

      The thing is division lore and gameplay are so separated. In the novel and in the cutscenes Black Tusk are just as equal if not better than agents, especially in the novel agents often choose to run instead of engaging BT units.

    • @orrthehunter
      @orrthehunter 8 місяців тому

      @@onionrangerduck7024 I am talking about Lore perspective.
      When you look at the Descent audio logs it shows a bit on which side they planned things when it involved their recruitment process.
      The Descent training ended up being used by both Division and Black tusk in the end for both gear testing and recruitment assessment.
      Division agents in training were sent in small numbers and more frequently Solo.
      Black Tusk agents in training got sent in more as squads more frequently than Solo training.
      This put them under different situation trainings which produced the results both side wanted. Black Tusk did not needed to be the best of the best for Natalya, she just needed them to be good enough to match up to Division Agents to a point the requirements would make things easier to recruit in higher numbers than what the Division required to recruit their Agents to produce similar results or close to similar results which is why Black Tusks agents are equal or better than Division Agents by lore without certain extra requirements for recruitment that the Division has.
      This also explains a bit into the Nemesis being the Final Test for Descent. Black Tusk recruits were basically tested against what the simulation expect how a Division Agent maybe like so they basically pass recruitment if they prove themselves good enough to match up against Division Agents as their Final Test.

Literally majority of them have dysfunctional characteristics. And they behave like murderers, psychopaths, cold hearted and most importantly they are not team players. All of them behave like lone wolves and somehow could be brainwashed very easily as we saw Keener do it. Also Calvin is a straight up jerk and it must be very annoying to follow his orders. It's actually quite enjoyable, though. You get to use weapons you would never consider in the outside world, and see their actual potential if they weren't so outclassed by Meta weapons. You can actually enjoy using these weapons, because they are effective in Descent and not neutered like they are in the outside world. One of my favorites is the Urban MDR; it rocks in Descent! Descent is the purest form of The Division, unaffected by most of the buffs and nerfs due to new weapons/gearsets being introduced in the main game. Plus you can buy those Exotic caches now with that Descent money!! I'd recommend giving it some good consideration, as it will be more difficult in the beginning; but once you fill out your table ( skills and abilities ) it really becomes quite fun!
