I bought a ticket for my brother to come from Elkhart, IN to Columbus, OH to see the Rolling Stones; first time for both of us. Blues Traveler was first to play. "The Hook" has a phenomenal harmonica!
Pretty damn good cover by Mick & band... I think Bill Withers would have gave his blessing. Nobody sang it like Bill withers. A true legend . I honestly didn`t think that anyone could cover "Use Me" decently but I was wrong. My bad. Mick added some funk to it. Different but still good.
Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones have always sampled and used and played rhythm and blues and have given a little bit of honor to the deceased Bill Withers he was a true blue troubadour thanks Mick Jagger keeping his music alive
Thanks for sharing! If you have a minute, we posted a cover of Eddie Van Halen. As fellow music fans, we'd love if you'd take a listen. It's on our page. Don't go too hard on us :)
Use me my brain to gain all my love i i never will let you down ❤rose marie de hut in love with you caicedonia valle colombia❤ love faith hope esperanza
I don't know, I think you're too committed to the original. Sometimes you have to listen/watch a few times before you'll allow the different version in. I think Mick made it his own. His voice is powerful and he's very charismatic. I love his move at 01:05, cracks me up but at the same time I'm fascinated, it's so "him". The guy is a pro. I'd say he was in the right lane. I've heard him sing some of his own songs worse.
@@cosmicmauve that's why music is so cool. I don't connect with his performance because his rhythm is shaky but his charisma and presence made it work for you. I can't argue with what another listener is feeling and I'm glad you enjoy it!
@@andycooper75 You're right, music is subjective. Funny, tonight I listen to it and I'm thinking wtf? But I think it's because I had listened to many covers and while all were good they were very much doing it in their best jazzy/bluesy voice and tend to drag out certain words to make it sound so "soulful", even Bill didn't do that, like you said, it's about the rhythm. With Mick there's no pretense, no mistaking you're getting it Jagger style. I swear, the guy is scrawny with limited vocals and yet commands a stage, "you WILL pay attention to me!", and you do. Sorry to go on about it, I'm just taking this as an interesting/different point of view type of exchange. Over and out!
And if that is ALL you have you should leave commenting alone!! No one is claiming Mick has an outstanding voice . He is not on the same level as a Steven Prerry, Ronnie James Dio or even David Bowie. Micks voice is average at best in the rock world however his stage presence, his sexuality his energy and delivery make him who he is. THE BEST TO EVER DO IT!!!!
Super,simply super!
This is what makes some acts like the Rolling Stones great. They simply went for art, no matter where it came from.
THANK YOU! How much more Mick Jagger is....
Jagger knows Withers!

The sax is a great touch.

And I think a pinch of funk suited it perfectly!
Lol,after you hear some Bill Withers live versions nobody can touch him.Prince mashup version on piano is one that stands out to me.
Spread it butter 😂😂😇🥰. love it.
My opinion is that hes the best man ever sexy conveying the songs meaning man like him is perfect

I love everything about this performance… peace and hugs KP
No one, but Bill Withers can do justice to his song.
Love Rolling Stones, but Mick Jagger doesn't have the voice to sing this song.
Blessings .
Aaron Neville comes close
Exactly
Love Love Love this song was pleasantly surprised to hear Mick Jagger cover it!
Mick didn't have a lot of chances to bring the funk...but he can bring the ruckus!
When the sax player steals the whole stage! wow!!!
Almost.
Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones have always sampled and used and played rhythm and blues and have given a little bit of honor to the deceased Bill Withers he was a true blue troubadour thanks Mick Jagger keeping his music alive

Much respect to Mick...but this is trying to hard. It wasn’t broke, don’t fix it.
😂let s agree to disagree❤
I think this works really well, both on record and on stage
Come on man, obviously, he relates❤🎉😢
You must not know the Stones much. What you call hard, fans call Mick Jagger
This works. Art can have a varied expression and still be gold.
Sometimes it's better to stay in your lane

Exactly
Not bad
Stick to your knitting Mick. Why not ask Keith for another song more suited and leave Bill RIP!!!
People should leave certain songs alone

This is really bad…i listen to the whole thing its so off…but cheers mate
3rd
Out of his style. No go for me. The band nailed it though.
I agree, but it was Jagger's version on his album back then that brought the song to my attention.
No
Nah
Not even close big mouth!
This I hope is a joke ?
I think the entire album was a joke!
😰🤢
Yikes!
This is the worst
Ok 5/10
Drummer is way off!
Groove not there
You my friend do not have a clue!!!
Unlistenable
Why is that
No not really.
