- Joe Cocker live in concert from 1992.
Cocker is an English rock/blues singer who came to popularity in the 1960s, and is most known for his gritty voice, his idiosyncratic arm movements while performing and his cover versions of popular songs, particularly those of The Beatles. He is the recipient of several awards, including a 1983 Grammy Award for his song "Up Where We Belong", a duet which he performed with Jennifer Warnes.
"Feelin' Alright" also known as Feeling Alright is a song written by Dave Mason of the English rock band Traffic from their eponymous 1968 album, Traffic.

SUCH a fine assemblage of musicians here ! Smokin' hot and the Doo-wop Girls are tops ! Special thanks to Dave Mason, for another monster piece of pop music !
One of the greatest rock voices of all time. RIP.
Saw Jo Jo in 1972. Hell yeah!
I'm a stroke survivor, and when I try to walk, I remind me of a young Joe Cocker ... and that's a good thing.
I love Joe Cocker. I hope you don't mind me saying, I chuckled at your post. God bless you.
I'M A HANDICAP WITH A GREAT IMAGINATION AT AGE 33 AND I JUST COULDN'T IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO SUFFER A STROKE AND SUDDENLY BE MORE CRIPPLED THAN I ALREADY AM. I KNOW IT WOULD BE TOUGH, DEPRESSING AND PAINFUL FOR JUST ABOUT ANYONE, BUT FOR ME OR EVEN SOMEONE MORE DYSFUNCTIONALLY HANDICAPPED, I SHUDDER TO THINK OF OF SUCH A NIGHTMARE. BUT THERE IS ANOTHER MUCH OLDER SONG THAT HAPILLY TRANSCENDS TO AGE. IT'S CALLED I'M GLAD I'M NOT YOUNG ANYMORE, MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT MAURICE CHEVALIER'S VERSION ON UA-cam. IT MIGHT MAKE YOU FEEL A BIT BETTER. AS FOR JOE COCKER, WELL, THERE'S ONLY TWO TYPES OF MUSIC IN THIS WORLD, GOOD MUSIC AND BAD MUSIC. AND ANY MUSIC THAT MAKES PEOPLE FEEL HAPPY IS GOOD MUSIC. AND JOE COCKER IS ONE OF THE GREATEST.

is that really stevie ray vaughn playing?
@@davidburns3480It really does look like him however, I believe it's Phil Grande as noted in another song from same performance.
Eye... Don't... Know? Eye'm working on it.😊
I started seeing Joe in Memphis
In the 60s & 70's..The music just flows out of him ❤ he expressed so much emotion his vibe just entered everyone around him
The Spirit of Joe is powerful...He's an Earthquake Man.❤

Supreme Joe Cocker Superb voice 👍🍁
Unique style, like no other
Always LOVED this dude's voice. Joe Cocker... one in a million.
More like one in a Billion nowadays, but I get what ya mean :)
RIP Joe you where one of a kind, woke up a couple of times like that myself in the 74 years on the planet.
77 years and feel the same way!
Just hit 73 in feel the same way too
The only concerts I have ever attended where the crowd is standing, singing, dancing and living for this man. God can't rest his soul, he will rock forever.
The most underrated artist ever period end of story nuff said
One of best bands, backup vocals and mixes of all time.
The best screamer in the universe.
And this song is unbelievable
It’s sad that most in the younger generations will never even hear it.
Not unless some company decides to use it in an advertisement.
Unless that’s already happened in at least one country.
Well, not knowing this song is a sad loss.
And the song is so uplifting, played on very high volume. It’s almost spiritual.
Probably because it’s pretty much Gospel.
Except for Leon
Yes it was played in Canada back in the early2000's on a t.v commercial by the local police against drinking and driving, and way back in 1983 it was played on the saturday morning cartoon show G.I.JOE, as the end theme and the end credits thats when i was only 14 but WOW it really hit me then and i felt so alive by this song alone, feeling alright.🤪🤪🤪👍🥺😎😎😎
Hello Melinda how are you doing!!
I’m 27 and this is one of my favorite songs!!
im 19 and its one of my favorites!@@jessicadelargey2790
I know we all die but wish Joe cocker was still around
Sigh....I had forgotten how electrifying Joe could be. Now I miss him all the more.
Joe... I hope that I get to see you again.
RIP Joe Cocker you will be "Feelin' Alright" in heaven
Dear Joe Cocker, i am not feeling alright, i am missing you, Rest in Peace and thank you for your fantastic songs!!!!!
Wish I could give it a thousand thumbs up. Everything is going full-out, tent-revival heat and every molecule is on fire! What a great, slowed-down performance of the song... and the backup ladies are in it, every note and breath!
Joe was unique in every way. RIP, Joe... and keep the party going with Leon!
Joe is acting much calmer in this performance! Killer song!❤
This song gives me goosebumps everytime
Regrets, my friends saw him several times in Adelaide and I didn't. Best concerts they ever went to they assured me...still kills me. RIP Joe His amazing voice got better like wine!
That voice...what can you say?
RIP Joe Cocker!!! Your music contributions will not be forgotten!!!!!!!!!!!! (Love this LIVE version...band is cookin, singers...and Joe!)
Rest in peace Joe and thank you for all your timeless music.
Heaven Bless ya..Brotha Joe Cocker! You survived what would have killed a lesser man..and now uses rock and roll, philanthrophy, and a battered but wiser heart to help kids, and those in the world. Not to mention you still knock audiences on their butts! Way to go Sheffield Boy!!!
Hello Cynthia how are you doing hopefully all is well with you and your family??
First time I have seen this footage and it is spot on. RIP brother Joe. We love and miss you , brother.
I'll miss you Joe for ever! Love You
One of the true originals....keep on rocking Joe!!!!!
Holy Shit! Joe Cocker was 70! Seventy!
That must mean I'm... whoa, mama!
Time sure flies when you're having fun, when you're feelin' alright! Thanks, Joe.
Shh, don't bring that up. I am beginning to think the 60s are gone. My son is turning 40. What the heck???.
Joe came to Australia on Great Keppel Island Queensland, they built the Wreck Bar at the Qantas Resort and he was the first to play there, you could buy a shirt called " I got wrecked on Keppel Island", Those were the best time of my life. Joe was the best.
I introduced my sons to the nitty gritty of this fabulous singer way back in the fabulous 70's they are still his fans. He will be missed kool has left the building.
GOOODEST tinmZZZ yea this is perfect
I've always loved this song, but since I just viewed the movie "Flight" with Denziel Washington, I've come to appreciate it even more. I'm so glad that contemporary movie producers can revitalize old classics and introduce them to a new generation.
Mr. Joe Cocker, I'm not feeling alright since you left us all. You are the man that made REAL music brother.
D- straight !!!
Always loved this song of his the best, but right now I'm not feeling too good myself. Thanks for the music. Joe. RIP♥
As a caregiver for a spouse with Alzheimer's dementia, this song hits very close to home. Rather than depress me, it raises my spirits.
what a great way to hear it
+jffrocks That is an awfully hard often thankless yet compassionate and loving thing to do. When you can, please let people help you as you must also care for yourself to do it well? I read your comment a few months ago and was charmed by your wisdom- point of view... I think of your words whenever I hear or play this now, Thank You for the inspiration!
It must be so hard. My mother didn't recognize me for bthe last week she was alive & I was crushed. I am stiill ashamed of myself. You cheer me by giving me hope that ii can be a better person by learning from people like you. Like Ms. Polito, I think of you when I hear the song. I share her hope that you are also being helped. I call it the "airplane rule.." Parents are supposed to put on their air masks first before helping their children. You are so strong & have inspired so many (If a few people post, lots more are silently reading.) If you let someone help upyou, you're really just letting them return a favor. Thank you.
+Susan Garvin I am doing the best I can for as long as possible. I have come to understand that I cannot do this alone for the long run and will need help. What struck me about this song was the ironic lyric "Before someone comes along and takes my place. With a different name and yes a different face". A year ago my wife decided "her husband (that's me) left her" and he was replaced by a caregiver who has a different face and has a different name... of course that is still me. It is a bizarre life living with someone who sees me as a stranger. Listening to Joe's song actually made me laugh about it.
+Laurylie Polito Thank you. You are correct about needing help. I have reached the point where I cannot do this alone.
How is he not in the hall of fame??
One of the best rock and roll voices of all time! Don't make singers like this anymore!
Had a chance to see Joe and Tina Turner some years ago...what a show..two great legends on the same stage..! he did all his hits and some I forgot about...concerts like that are long gone..the up and coming artist.. will never match up...R,I.P. Joe .and Thank You....
Ten years old when I first heard this thanks to my 20 year old older sister. I have to thank her and Joe for shaping my taste in music. She'd always smile at her silly little brother dancing around the living room to this. Amazing voice and style that of a caliber that we just don't see anymore. RIP Mr. Cocker.
Oh yeah ,Joe Coker , was a real deal rocker. What a rare and amazing talent that brother was. This definitely put a smile on my face to remember the man and the era !
This is Joe Cocker's signature song. Other artists have sang this song but, Joe Cocker takes it to another level.
I wasn't feeling alright, then I clicked on this video, and I feel better than alright, thanks Joe
what a great performance. Love the keyboard sounds!!
We saw him at a small venue, outdoor performance, with a couple hundred people, in 1988, Columbus, Ohio. It was an amazing and personal concert.
Joe had his full band, and 3 female backup singers. Myself along with the rest of his fans, were Woodstock generation hipsters.
It was a 'rockin' love fest'. Many of us sang along, when Joe performed some of his older music, the songs he's best know for. It was memorable.
"Myself?" Really? Do you talk like that, as well?
RIP Joe Cocker. I played this song in my band for many many years and it was always a favorite.
Jam Session ng . B . B uhh buy
What a voice! Rest in peace.
Great voice!!!
This band does a very good job, blending rock, soul, rhythm and blues.....the groove here is so good......the type of feel that only a collection of elite musicians can understand and create....the keyboard player recreates and embellishes Leon's famous piano playing from the "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" live album from back in the 70's.....
The piano player here looks like Chris Stainton doesn't it, the same guy who played piano when Leon Russell was playing guitar on this tune during one of the "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" performances from 1970? Check out the UA-cam video that has Leon playing guitar on this tune and see what you think.
lighttakesthetree Yes, I believe you are right. By the way, that video with Leon on guitar is a classic period piece...Leon, even on some kind of drugs...(just guessing) hangs in and plays great guitar leads.
lighttakesthetree
Chris Stainton is gonna be a household name for me now....since I am spending a lot of time playing keys these days. Guitar has been my primary instrument for a long time.....but for the last three years, I have had a daily practice regimen to improve my technique on guitar, and get the muscle memory in my hands on the keys as well as transferring the pattern recognition and such to keys.
Truly the end of an era...pure genius
Would have liked to see you one more time
So sad to hear of your passing. Loved your voice. No one sings it like Joe did, all heart and soul my man.
Hello Cindy how are you doing!!
First written by Dave Mason and recorded by him & Traffic . Recorded by many but Joe Cockers rendition is the Best!
I'm happy to have seen him in Milan singing 40 years ago
This song really lifts up my spirit!! RIP Joe
one, if not the best rock & roll voices EVER! nothing but respect for you sir😉
I agree amazing Artist Great Voice I have all his Music Big Fan!
I saw Joe C. in Lowell MA, he energized the auditorium. It was an electric night.
Should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame! Any of you old rockers from the 60s and 70s see this - get this done
God bless you Joe ! Saw him at MRF in
The 70s absolutely fantastic!
❤
I saw Joe and the entire Mad Dogs show in 1970 in Washington, DC. Perhaps the best rock concert I ever saw! Still makes me jump up and dance even though I'm 77.
Nothing better. The chorus is so fine and makes this piece.
He’s still joe forever. He’s the joe I know. I deal with ailments. We all deal with ailments. But joe deserves to be an elite. He deserves it. People shuned him. It’s really bullshit. Joe cocker was from another place and time. And I really miss him.
Big HUGS Danny Ferrera 😿😢😓🤧🤗💪
Even my kid loved his music.....you will be missed...end of an era
Nobody done it better. Miss a chance 2 c him. 2yrs be 4 he passed. Biggest mistake i ever made
We're all missing you Joe! R.I.P.
+Joseph Davis I KNOW I AM HE WAS AWESOME
I loved me some Joe Cocker, he was the best singer of Rock, and Soul music, I've ever heard. He could hold his own with the best, including James Brown. When I saw him on the show with James Brown and Friends, Joe and Wilson Picket were the only ones that let James know that they could scream also. My opinion is that Joe and the Wicket Pickett held back because both of them could scream just as good as James, and James knew it, that's why James kept screaming not that he was any better because he wasn't, both of them were honoring him, by not trying to out shine him. Joe Cocker had a unique style, he could sing hard rock and soul which made him stand out. Also Robert Palmer was one of my favorites on that show as well. Addicted to Love was my song. The Beatles wrote good songs but to me they were not good singers, but good writers.
You can’t invoke this era without him, He was a big part of the airwaves. I love this big combo sound.
An original in every way! The more I listen to him the more I want to hear.
cause there's sooo much to do before I die,..... I hope you got it done Joe,.... thanks for 50 years of Passion, Emotion and lots of SOUL!!!
A song that will stand the test of time........
I have seen a lot of concerts and worked with many people in the music business. I have seen almost every one that was anything real. sadly I never got to see this gentleman. what a great performer. Heart and soul of an elephant this man has.
Yeah for my 60th birthday - TURN IT UP - Joe was priceless!
Phantastic. Joe is one of THE singers and the whole band is amazing.
This is my favorite singer ever! It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that he's gone. Saw him several times. Amazing!!!!!
Cocker meant as much to me as Lou Reed's music while growing up. Dude! Enjoy the "after life."
This is most probably the only way I'd listen to Beatles music!
2 performers today remind me of Joe Cocker; See UA-cam Short "Band teacher reacts to Henning May" and the Janis Joplineque soulful talent Courtney Hadwin's first performance on America's Got Talent and her stage presence. Thank You Gilded Entertainment Group!
Saw him a couple of years before he died and so honoured a great show with a smoking band and backup singers
Joe Cocker had a strange way of expressing himself on stage but it was unique. Joe said this about his what he did on stage
''You mean my arm movements? I actually saw myself with Eric Clapton - you know you see all your old stuff on UA-cam now - and I was horrified at myself, with my arms just flailing around. I guess that came with my frustration at never having played piano or guitar. If you see me nowadays I'm not quite so animated, but it's just a way of trying to get feeling out - I get excited and it all comes through my body.''
He got so much better as he aged. Like fine wine.
Believe me if you saw him at the Fillmore East you would have been amazed he was just awesome
ho avuto la fortuna di vedere 4 sui concerti dal vivo uno spettacolo
Saw him in 67 before his fame what a show He was destined to become famous
Ein wundervoller und wertvoller Mensch und Künstler, unvergessliche Zeit ❤🙏🙂
Hello christa how are you doing!!
So endlessly intoxicating ....and it is so amazing .....you the pro Joe.
Hello Julia how are you doing hopefully all is well with you and your family??
One of the happiest sounding torch songs ever made. The guy is asking his ex is she "feelin' alright - I'm not feeling too good myself."
I remember one night when Joe performed in my city and when me and my parents saw the band, we thought the man with long grey hair was Leon Russel! Turns out it was just a guy who looked him. But I also remembered when he sang this song in front of us. It was a great performance! Thanks Joe!
The great Joe Cocker.... what a voice!!!! And Chris Stainton, another Sheffiled lad........... top drawer!! What a tight band!!
RIP Cocker. You were beyond the best. Saw you once in Cannes and won't ever forget it! There will never be another like you. "With a Little Help from All Your Friends", the Pearly Gates are being held open for you!
Mr. Joe Cocker................................what a Talent throug the years..........................................................
I love this man, always will. I was lucky enough to have seen him perform twice at the old Montreal Forum. He is such a special entertainer. See you on the other side (I hope!)
I was lucky enough to see him in 1996ish. He headlined a full day with The Radiators, The Thunderbirds, and Buddy Guy.
One helsinki of a singer; had a style like no one else. The listener can feel the power in his voice and in his delivery...
Oh my I wish I'd been lucky enough to see him in person!
Hello Pamela how are you doing!!
Magic 💪 Moments on Earth..thanks cocker!💖💪😎

Yet another legend,taken from us
I was just informed, not very long ago, by my mother, that I was conceived to this song.
I feel a spiritual connection to Mr. Cocker as a result haha!
