THESE UNIQUE LOOKING FOXES ARE VERY STUNNING!! POPEYE CAN LIVE AT THE CRITTER CAMP SANCTUARY AND STILL THRIVE LIKE THE OTHER'S!! THANK YOU FOR CARING ABOUT POPEYE(THE SAILOR MAN)!!
Popeye really is stunning, isn’t he? 🦊💖 We’re so glad he’s thriving at Critter Camp, and thank you for your kind words! 😊 It’s wonderful to see how much people care about him!
So wonderful that you were able to rescue this gorgeous little guy and have the required knowledge to be able to care for him properly, but they Fennec Foxes should not be bred as pets. ❤❤
Thank you! 😊 You're absolutely right-Fennec Foxes are amazing animals, but they thrive best in the wild, and it's important to prioritize their natural needs. 🦊❤️
Glad the previous owner was responsible and found a good home. Sometimes life circumstances mean we can't keep our pets and this little guy would need a home that understands his special needs. At 10, he's still feisty, healthy, and seems fairly social and trusting, so he was likely fairly well cared for in his previous home at least (they don't say much about the previous home, so just making a guess here).
It’s great to hear you see it that way! 😊 Popeye definitely came from a place where he was well cared for, and we're so happy he’s now in a home that understands his needs. 🦊💖 His feisty spirit is proof of how much love he’s had!
💛🧡 see he's such a gorgeous bundle of mischief and fun. Bless you for taking him into his golden years home. 10 years old is a good age for a fox. Cracking good video thanks for sharing 🖤😎👍.
Thank you for taking in this sweet little man and giving him the love he deserves. Thank you for all your hard work, both with Popeye & all the other animals - you really are the best of humanity ❤
I wish his former human well and hope their relative is doing well, whom they had to care for. Glad they were able to find a loving and understanding rescuer. :)
"never developed any instincts". That contradicts the entire definition of "instincts". I'm sure he would be fine in the wild BECAUSE of those instincts.
What a beautiful little boy he is and he looks so happy even if he appears to show some submissive traits. I know nothing about this one so it could be perfectly normal behaviour
Fennec Foxes. They could climb a tall mountain, jump off, deploy their ears, and then glide for hundreds of kilometers 😂😂 (Not true, of course, but I just cracked myself up with that image in my head.)
Very cute little guy. What makes them difficult? Is it nutritional requirements(similar to big cats), environmental requirements(similar to reptiles, snakes and fish), attention or something else I am ignorant of?
Fennec foxes look cute but they don’t make good pets! They lack the sociability and easy to please nature of a dog. Foxes haven’t been domesticated for good reason. Don’t take them out of the wild.
You’re absolutely right! 🦊 Fennec foxes have wild instincts and aren't suited for typical pet life. It’s so important to respect their needs and keep them in environments where they can thrive. Thank you for the thoughtful comment! 💖
Instinct cannot be breed out of an animal. A beaver will still try and build a dam inside your house while in captivity because of instinct. When taking in an animal that should be in the wild then it’s best to keep them as wild as they can be and have the lest amount of human contact with them. Their instinct will allow them to adapt in the wild
You make a great point about respecting their instincts. 😊 It's so important to consider what’s best for each animal, and Popeye definitely thrives with the care and love he gets at Critter Camp. 🦊💖
I'm of the opposite mind. I am all for the use of strictly captive-bred for those who wish to have a fennec and can take care of them. Nothing irks me more than seeing hypocrites saying how 'fennecs aren't pets', while they sit there with what's essentially a captive-bred African Wild Cat curled up in their lap. It really _doesn't_ take long for an animal to become a domesticated pet when it comes down to it, especially if the temperament and care requirements make it amenable to such. Just ask the people working with full-sized foxes in Russia.
I understand your viewpoint, but it’s important to remember that animals like fennec foxes, even if captive-bred, still retain their wild instincts. True domestication takes many generations, and these animals are not suited for life as pets. Their well-being and natural behaviors are best respected by keeping them in environments where they can thrive.
Everyone thinks animals are cute but non domesticated animals even when "tame" are still wild animals and a huge handful. You can leave a dog or a cat alone for a few hours but these kinds of "pets" require nonstop attention. Please don't adopt an animal like this unless you are willing and able to give them consent attention. They will never be fully domesticated like a modern cat or dog.
Have you heard how Fennec foxes sound before?🦊
Yes! At my Phoenix Zoo!
I haven’t. But I do know what the fox says! It drank a purple liquid. Purple is my favorite color!!
I got to hold one once at a petting zoo. ❤❤❤
Hayır, onların sesini daha önce hiç duymadım çünkü yaşadığım ülkede bu tilkilerin bu türü mevcut değil.

Hes been brought up with humans all his life he has a better life now then he would in the wild
They are absolutely adorable. It's hard to imagine them in the wild because they don't even look real but, darn they're cute.
I'm glad you made this video it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $34k monthly and a good daughter full of love
I wish his former human well and hope their relative is doing well, whom they had to care for. Glad they were able to find a loving and understanding rescuer. :)
"never developed any instincts". That contradicts the entire definition of "instincts". I'm sure he would be fine in the wild BECAUSE of those instincts.
he's adorable ...
If I was a fennec fox I would want this lady to take care of me! She seems lovely!
foxes are so damn cute I can hardly stand it.
What a beautiful little boy he is and he looks so happy even if he appears to show some submissive traits. I know nothing about this one so it could be perfectly normal behaviour
I am surprised that fennec live so long. ❤
Fennec Foxes.
They could climb a tall mountain, jump off, deploy their ears, and then glide for hundreds of kilometers 😂😂
(Not true, of course, but I just cracked myself up with that image in my head.)

I got to pet and feed some fennec foxes in Japan. They are adorable
Radar ears!
❤❤❤
Have you ever worked with Save-A-Fox Sanctuary? You both seem like very kind, outgoing people looking out for the welfare of these exotic pets!
I rather watch Fennec Foxes from a distance than to keep one. I have a hard time keeping myself sane.
same haha esp with the constant squealing 😂 I doubt you can potty train them
❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰es una belleza Popeye
The Fennec are so damn cute.
🥰🥰🥰
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very cute little guy.
What makes them difficult? Is it nutritional requirements(similar to big cats), environmental requirements(similar to reptiles, snakes and fish), attention or something else I am ignorant of?
♥♥♥♥♥♥
Popeye is the best SailEAR Fen
❤❤❤❤❤
🦊
The dry food is not good for them. They are designed to get moisture from their food.
Can fennec foxes be trained to go to the bathroom outside? Or a cat litter box?
oo

how is it legal to breed and sell wild animals?

He needs companion
Who wants to do Popeye The Sailor Fox now that the character of Popeye is entering the public domain next year in 2025?
Another cub stolen from its mother
Why to breed. ? It should b banned.
Thanks for giving him such a good life ❤
Awwwww
No one should own Fennec Foxes as pets. They are native to the deserts of Northern Africa.
Faire des selfies d'un animal sauvage (un fennec "sauvé") et lui donner des croquettes 😤🤬
How does laying blankets on the floor equate to a desert environment? Not hating, just don't understand the correlation.
"Purchased it from a breeder"? WTH? Who breeds wild animals to become pets? That breeder should be in prison...
I'm of the opposite mind. I am all for the use of strictly captive-bred for those who wish to have a fennec and can take care of them. animal trafficking...

One day it bit her & she got Rabies & died. The fox was put down
Oh, that homeless children could get this good care, love and affection. Just saying.
