The t-shirt yarns do seem very similar to making bias tape or rag rugs....a great way for fabric manufacturers to use up or sell scrap fabrics. The shiny yarn reminds me of what some bathing suits are made of.

Hi Alysha, I bought the Surong Yarn 2 years ago from the WISH website. I crocheted a beautiful corner-to-corner scarf out of it and I love it. The yarn is so soft on my skin - gorgeous.
An absolutely purchasing recommendation. Greetings from Germany your way

Great reviews Alysha - I got a bit nervous of those unusual yarns lol but I bought some more regular yarns ans other craft items from Temu and they are all superb! I bought a couple of hobby items for my other half too and he was so impressed. It's hard to find things he's never seen before.
Your hair looks stunning, by the way. Those braids are so pretty!

I am loving the hair in this video. It says it was done seven months ago. This look looks gorgeous on you and I love that you’re doing a tutorial on team because I’ve always been tempted to buy but a lot of times they say this games are so small I’m a full size woman, so I don’t have to buy a truckload just to make a sweater.

I’ve been addicted to shopping on Temu for many months now. The majority of the stuff on there is good quality for the price. the only yarn I’ve tried so far from them is some of their glow in the dark stuff. Thank you for reviewing some of their other yarns.

I really liked the shiny pleather yarns. The colors are so vibrant - right up my alley! I would make a small purse or clutch with the shiny yarns and maybe some kind of mat with the t-shirt yarn. Thanks for the review! I think I’ll check Temu out to see what else they have.

The shiny green yarn I would work up into a bag, and make sure that I lined it with a coordinating fabric to get around the stretch issue. We all carry more than we should, literally and figuratively. The gorgeous red yarn I would love to wear as a cardigan, so that's what I'd do with it. The tshirt yarn is so cool, and I think that i would work it into some round and oval mats for putting hot dishes on the table, i forget what they're called. And maybe some matching place mats and coasters. That would make such a wonderful Christmas gift, dont you think?

The green neemby reminds me of the 60s plastic raffia that came in weaving kits.
The wine colored yarn reminds me of a yarn I saw in the yarn store on nob hill in NM. Same fiber
Simb is unique but it looks too busy for most things
All in all I think you knocked the review out of the park. And based on you alone I might buy from them if they have natural fibers

surong looks like a "dupe" of hobbii's metallico (which I absolutely loved to work with and, despite my fears, frogged spectacularly): a polyamide chainette with a blend of wool and acrylic for the loose, fluffy fibers

So I'm using a yarn right now that's almost the exact same as the Surong yarn you reviewed. It's chain spun. The color is on the outside, almost felted into the polyester chain. Hence the halo. I'm working with Ice Yarn's Picasso. Yes! It is a little bit of a pain to undo when there's a slip up, however it's not as bad as the sequin thread I just got done working with. Actually had to stop to unravel the thread from around the sequin to go back a few stitches (more than I'd like to say, lol).

I hope y'all realize most of what you get off Amazon is from China. I watched a Bag O Day video on Temu yarn. All I can say is she acted repelled by where it came from. The double standards about this are astounding. 🙄

    • @ST-qn7te
      @ST-qn7te 2 місяці тому

Just because items come from China doesn't mean it's all coming from the same place. There's heavy documentation on both Temu and SheIn. Do your homework.
Amazon is a marketplace, and sourcing likely comes from Alibaba, where a lot of mainstream brands source from. Brands can communicate directly with suppliers, and not all are China. Some are Pakistan, Turkey, India.
      Again, do your homework.
