You DEFINITELY did the right thing ! Your fiancé and his mom were more worried about impressing others and obviously not taking your feelings into consideration. He is not right for you !

OP absolutely did the right thing in canceling the wedding! The fact that her fiance refused to even consider her side in any of the disagreement with his mother makes him a mama's boy and poor marriage material. He dismissed her concerns and took his mother's side in every single issue. OP, you dodged a bullet! It's good that you found out where his allegiance lies prior to marrying him. If he can't put YOU before his mother, he has no business marrying you!
