For some strange reason, I only have one real Scythe video and its meh.
So here, have this one. It counts for 5.
Initially was planning on doing a video like this for every weapon. That'll be 40 Perfect Clears, but I'm up to it so we shall see how it goes.
Take note that I really don't care about time. I just put the times up for reference sake.

Scythe has been my main weapon throughout the God Eater series with Spear as my second. I can't wait for when this gets released on Nintendo Switch on Friday 12th! I look forward to it!

My god, the flex is strong, scythes have always been my favorite and main weapon in all the god eater games, ugh this the level of mastery i aim to achieve, well done you have truly inspired me to get better with it, side note, love your character, the main ourfit for my char is similar, i wear those same bottoms but with the sleevless red and black shirt, forgot what it's called

7:48 wow holy shit, is that an old scythe tech you could always do? you can step after a round fang and it still counts you being 'in' the combo, so you can immediately go into vertical fang -> cleave fang after a step? that looks stylish as hell and makes it so much faster to perform heaven and hell during tight openings
Yeah, you could always do this. Gotta be really mindful of your stamina though.

Because of this video, I can't choose which is my favorite between heavy moon and scythe. And I can't wait for playing this game in july 10th since I will get my own PC gaming for my birthday (although it's too soon XD) !

@@bkbrent maybe if i can speed up the camera movement... i mean i still don't have GE3 i still have the resurrection/Rage Burst but the feeling is the same.
You can speed it up quite a bit. i play on the second highest setting, I think
@@bkbrent mine's on the max level. I play using controller instead a keyboard (more accurrate to play melee combat this way to me) so i think is more like to get used to it...? Well i'll do my best. But hey thanks! ^^

Do the air PGs have longer PG windows, or is that skill flex? The hitbox of Nuadha devour seems like a good choice for that type of PG though. I know that the extended PG window from landing while shielding exists, but you're very far from the ground. Or is it because waiting for a move to PG while being stuck on the ground doing nothing is stressful/makes you fidgety? (I feel really fidgety when staying still and waiting for a PG window)
Flex. Plain and simple.
But you can get a second chance to JG when you land, but you have to mess up the timing pretty badly for that to happen.
A Jump JG seems to stop Nuadha's lag strats online to some extent though.

Oh yes...I like to troll Dromi with this weapon after giving me a hard time when doing Perfect runs. I can JG Dromi’s Devour already but when using this weapon, I just let Dromi do what it does while I attack with Inferno Rush.

BK Brent that art destroys Balmung and Dromi, even with a +4 to +10 scythe. (1:54:01 for Balmung and 2:21:87 for Dromi)
Ahhh... Scythe on GE3... the reason I changed my play style...
Never used fang deployment any more and focused on step attack, spamming it and spamming more step attack!!!!

sooo how many time it took you to perfect all this display of pure flex for each ash aragami?
It takes me extremely long to get something I'm happy with. Probably 2-4 hour recording sessions for each clip and then I pick only one clip to upload. If they clips are crap I record again.
How to negate the devoir attack of arragami? e see he/she negated it when battle with 2nd aragami

I think you got your Scythe installed skills swapped (except the one for Sekhmet EX). There’s no way Icecarve EX can hold 3 installed skills and also Predator Claw can hold 2 skills instead of one and Marduk’s scythe can hold 3.

Also this is a pipe dream, but I'd like to see more Rage burst content from you, Brent. I know you covered all Blood arts and did a few +99s but stuff like how elemental damage works in that game isn't covered. But it's an old game so at this point there's no point discussing it lol. I recently started playing Rage Burst and oh brother its clunky and weird compared to GE3 haha.
I wouldn't say its the best, but its definitely caught up to the best melee weapons.
@@bkbrent I see, I only play BB and Moon in GE3 and as said above I just started GE2 and BB is the only familiar weapon for me there haha, I'm In a weird place where I played Resurrection when God Eater came to steam but took a break and then played 3 when it came out so I skipped 2 entirely.

Inferno Rush >>> Dystopia as the main damage dealing ability. Even when Dystopia is paired with aerial buffs like AIR 20mm or hitting downed enemies.
Inferno Rush is the best Scythe Burst Art because:
1. The highest DPS of all abilities considering how spam-able it is with no recovery delays or pauses and the massive damage per hit within the optimal range. Dystopia has a comparatively long recovery period after each landing.
2. Has a very long range. Aragami moves get more predictable an easier to avoid within that range.
3. Hits ground-level as well as vertically, making it extremely easy to burst down any Aragami bonds regardless of their spot or whether the enemy is aerial or not.
4. Can be rotated as you use it so you can switch the target spot or enemy with convenience. Also useful as the Aragami moves around.
5. Stun-locks Aragami extremely well. Even Ash Aragami will barely have any window to act.
6. Saves me the AIR 20mm Burst Unit slot for another Burst Unit.
It's true that I'm removing Heaven or Hell in order to add Inferno Rush but my clear times have definitely got much shorter. It was for the best. Ever since I started using Inferno Rush, the game turned into easy mode. Enter mission --> spam Inferno Rush for a minute --> SSS+.
My other slotted Burst Arts are Dystopia, because it's the clear jump burst art winner and is very useful in some situations where Inferno Rush might not be as effective, and Bloody Claw, for AoE damage against groups of small Aragami and the occasional healing.
Ultimately it's a matter of preference of course. :)

Its OK. Kinda yikes though to actually play co-op with people who use it as their main source of damage to the point they don't devour, don't share LB bullets, don't heal teammates, don't stop devour attacks or do anything helpful other than make themselves tired doing just Inferno Rush.
Expert opinion though: its not very good in Rank1 Challenge play. You don't got that much ST to drain, can't stunlock in Rank1s and you end up gaining the most aggro with it.
Don't think I've ever seen anyone able to actually handle aggro with Inferno Rush, without relying on stunlocking Aragami and I play this game a lot.

The same argument can be applied to pretty much any Burst Art and ultimately prove nothing. It's irrelevant. You can use Inferno Rush AND efficiently manage your stamina, heal teammates, share LB bullets, etc.
_"Fun"_ is also subjective. I can see where you're coming from though, and I value your expert opinion.
