All way been my favorite drummer. I Don’t care how many fills another drummer does ,Steve makes the groove reach deep in soul of the listeners getting them up dancing , that’s the Path I took as a drummer every since we hooked up with Steve, back stage in Cleveland Ohio , my brothers and I . I know he remembers us .

Steve Ferrone is my main man on drums in soul, funk and r & b..pop jazz ie jarreau stuff and anita baker..I first paid attention his stint in 75 as AWB's drummer..those links he played on those albums will never be duplicated.also the 79 Naughty album by Chaka..he tears it up on Clouds.on this pick up pieced song the accents thar McIntosh laid down are missing and it's those accents thar make the music stand out

I've seen two of these videos today (the Phillinganes one and this) and in both cases, there have been numerous audio botches in both. That Phillinganes one is just too quiet most of the time. I get that Greg was screaming a bit in that one but use a compressor on him to solve that issue. This one, the sound guy either didn't leave mics on (which Steve gave him a mostly good-natured and totally-justified ribbing for...more than once) or he had them too loud. Not very on the ball, honestly. So glad Greg came back out for this one as he was given no time for questions and wasn't warned sufficiently either. Still, the experiences barely diminished by the mistakes...until you cut into "Pick up the Pieces" with one of your ads. That did. Particularly bad move, guys.
Funny, the song they play around 4:00 something is Mayer's version of Crossroads, and now Steve is playing with Mayer!
When did he join Mayers band? What happened to Steve Jordan?
@@Monsterdrumma Steve Jordan is playing with the Stones, Steve Ferrone joined the band for the current tour and did great but for some reason he has been replaced mid tour. There was talk of some covid stuff but I am not sure if that's the deal.
@@roderickbalt8993 Oh yeah duh, Jordan with the stones, I knew that but forgot obviously. Interesting on the other Mayer stuff. Thanks for the info!
