Two years after the release of his highly successful album Dolce Vita, Jonas Kaufmann reaffirmed his love affair with Italian music with a special concert at the Waldbühne - Berlin’s renowned stage-beneath-the-stars. In what can be seen as a wondrous zenith of his dedication to Italy and her music, the concert has become one of this year’s biggest classical music events. Sony Classical is proud to announce the release of the magical concert on DVD, Blu-ray, CD.

Jonas Kaufmann tiene un registro tan amplio, que no hay quien le iguale
Iparaguirre si Kaufmann es maravilliso. Pero hay que conocer también a antecesores. Yo conocía mucho del gran Plácido Domingo y Pavarotti. Ahora estoy en una fase de mi vida que escucho a tenores que tenía olvidados, y eso que los tengo en Cd en casa, como Franco Corelli, Giuseppe di Stefano, Jon Vickers, Del Monaco, Carlo Bergonzi, Caruso etc... Y escuchando y cuando se puede viendo misma obra por distintos cantantes... Y llego a la conclusión de que cada tenor, cada soprano, tiene "su" aria, su obra en la que es el mejor. No hay "absolutos" en ópera, cada uno tiene lo suyo. Eso si : puedo decir "Ahora, en conjunto, quien más me gusta es....". Por épocas. Cuanto más conozco y más escucho y veo, analiticamente, ya no me atrevo a decir "Tal o Cual es el mejor de todas las épocas". Eso rs una temeridad
