Just wanted to note that you glossed over something I use often: You can also drop off cypher by tapping down on the analog stick, as long as you do so before the move to ends. This is useful as a mix up, specifically below ledge, as you can stop your vertical momentum upwards to avoid a spike, hit the opponent with the cypher, and airdodge up/in towards stage. Most opponents aren’t ready to act out of the cypher hit and they you can even follow up with a punish by catching jumps towards center stage.
A quick recipe book for the smash chiefs: (i.e. cooking your grenades) The Wall: double light toss grenade. Pick one up after the other for the perfectly cooked explosive. Advancing Offense: drop grenade at your feet, jump forward while grabbing it, side-B and cancel immediately. You can combo off the rocket with that grenade. If your enemy gets passed, they usually forget about the grenade if you just hold shield. LET HIM COOK: It's particularly frustrating when an opponent just won't let you set up, the rush down types. Drop grenade and up smash out of shield. They're either gonna back off or get hit with something. You can usually drop a c4 in-between then pick up the now cooked nade. Shield Regret: Z-nade and walk over, if they shield, pop a sticky on em. Up throw to tank your nade then send em the rest of the way to God with the C4. The Shogun: back facing opponent, drop grenade, jump back towards them and while picking it up then B reverse for another nade. Land and shield drop. With the right timing the nade that's good to go will be the first one you pick back up, after tossing it the second will be ready too. The Dio: Like the Shogun, but instead you'll hard throw the second nade at them as soon as you pull it out. "B-but it's not cooked!" Don't worry, we can set it off early with the one that is by tossing that at the enemy too. Very aggro cook, my personal fave. Please cook responsibly (projectile users wreck the kitchen)
Probably the best thing about AK's play style is his willingness to adapt to mu's. Snake has enough options that the player can totally switch up how they play the game. Some characters will, unfortunately, incentivize a pretty slow, campy play style but war isn't about being cool it's about winning. They don't ask how, they ask how many
Something to note is that Snake’s forward smash is really good for 2-framing as it’s active frames are quite generous and last 3 frames. Landing the hit is also super rewarding if you get the easy timing down as it kills people super early. Great move despite its long start up, and I think it’s definitely more than decent.
very true, as a Snake main, it's impossible to master him, there's always new things to learn, even many pro Snake players such as Apollokage, Shogun, MVD, Ally, they all have different pro play styles, so Snake is indeed one of the best fighters who's able to counter all fighters by changing your playstyle, but it takes a lot of time, I haven't even mastered reverse wavebouncing and I've been playing for a year.
Is there any chance of making a video like this for Luigi? I've been meaning to get back to playing him and I feel your videos do a perfect job of how to best play the character in an optimal way.
