I don't really understand why you have such powerful engines over there though because your driving rules are so insanely strict. Canada and US are definitely the worst countries i've driven in.
Cosmin Mihu pollution while Volkswagen was hidding terrible data is not an argument here. We dont have lot of Diesel engine here and the price of gaz is cheap compare to France. Also we got lot more electric véhicule years by years because of one of the lowest electricity cost worldwide
My 2008 swift (almost 12 years) runs absolutely fine. Never had a break down till date (I do take care of the maintenance). Cheap maintenance cost, fuel efficient and highly reliable.
have you swapped/change parts of engine or transmission?

Nothing to laugh bro, i have one of these in black color since 2 months ago and believe me it's a marvelous machine, you can be hand to hand with a jhon cooper works and that is the double expensive than the swift sport, u'll be proud!
No I would be very happy with one of these too. Smooth power distribution, nice acceleration and stable at high speed, for such a small car. Loads of fun for sure.

the acceleration in 3rd and 4th gear is impressive for 140hp
this thing weights 970kg....its 6.9kg to hp....most hot-hatches has from 5.5 - 6.0 kg to hp so...now you get the picture :)
@@Guccaaa Too bad Suzuki doesnt make higher hp powertrains. Imagine the 1.5L 3cyl on the Fiesta ST into the swift. lightweight and 200hp. would be insane.

@@iSaurabhSri yeah coz it's really easy and cheap to maintain. Cheap to buy too when compared to other cars. But this didn't stop me from buying a VW Polo. Though the maintenance cost is high and mileage is not that great, it's all the car I'd ever want. It's a beautiful machine and probably the best hatch one can buy (in India).

A suzuki swift sport (small car, well proportioned, good handling, good engine, good transmission, decent manual shifter, good fuel economy, low maintenance, good resale value) that goes 215kmph is quite alright in my book.

What car do you drive? Wheels do not come of at normal cars att their rated top speed. On autobahn during good traffic conditions 200kmph is common. Traffic accidents in Germany is lower than avarage in Europe.
I used to work for a shipping company that imported and exported cars and out of all the affordable cars the Suzukis always impressed me the most.
As a $20.000 car It's really calm and quiet while going with 215km/h
Here in Japan, this is a $15,000 (USD); car. It's totally badass especially for the price. I might just purchase one.

Actually, it reached respectable 218 km/h.
Amazing car...Smooth acceleration all around. Once I braked 130 kmh - 0 when I saw a bus was doing a U-turn in front, in such a small distance..... damn the brakes are smooth.....you don't feel a thing, but you can be sure that the car will save you from dying !. The steering did not give even wink while braking...
Plus it's a joy to see so many expensive cars....V8 SUVs, BMWs etc pass in your mirrors when the traffic light goes green.....Well it really used to be fun, but now I'm used to that too :(.....Enjoying driving at a fraction of the cost of high end sport cars....

THE ONLY CAR I HAD FOR SO MANY YEARS AND I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I MEAN I RAPED THIS CAR AND I DIDN'T EVER GO TO THE MECHS BUT ONLY TO CHANGE OIL AND FILTERS. AND EVEN THEM, I DIDN'T CHANGE REGULARLY AS I SHOULD HAVE. IT IS A JAPANESE RELIABILITY IN ALL ITS GLORY.
The 1.4 litre engine in this Swift Sport is a very good engine, extremely reliable, has plenty of pep (swift is very light weight) and in addition to all of that it's also easy to work on. Personally I think Suzuki should only offer the Swift Sport with a manual transmission. The value to fun ratio is definitely bang on.

A few days ago I got a 2020 Subaru Ascent with 260 hp to its max speed somewhere around 207 to 213 km/h(129 to 132 mph). That is my fastest and it felt really fast. I made a lane change at like 185 km/h(115 mph) and didn't feel all that difficult. I live in the US in Kansas and I am 43 years old.

Not very fast to 100 but it has a really good pull between 120-160, the engineers did a really good job tuning the power band and gearbox ratios. My 2.0 Focus is supposedly faster to 0-60 but it doesn't feel as fast above 120.
This 140 hp is fast! Compared to that 190 hp from 5 series (520d G30) this might beat the 520d at the start no doubt lol
Why shouldn't it? It's around 155 HP and 975 kg. 520, guessing 1700 kg and 190 hp. Acceleration is basically horsepower decided by weight.
Had a 2007 530 XD; heavy beast 232 hp. My 2018 swift sport is quicker up to 140 km/h.

This is a sports model. Not available in India presently. It has 6 gears instead of 5. It is lightweight.

as an owner of a Suzuki Swift 2007 1.3L & Mitsubishi Colt Czt 1.5L Turbo I must say the new Suzuki Swift (+2017)is best of both worlds!
I recently bought a Suzuki Swift 2019 1.0L Turbo RS and while only having 111hp/160nm it's quite fast!
Maybe in the near future I will switch to the 1.4L Turbo Sport instead! the only problem in Cyprus, we have limited stock of cars available lol...

It's lightweight. Just 1000kg. A VW Polo with an engine about the same size and power is around 1170kg or so. Also the gears are a little on the smaller side. This thing goes to 170km/h very quick for 140HP. It's a neat little car.

Owned a 2006 Suzuki Swift 1.5VVT for years 2 years, it was really fun to drive, it loves high revs, but damn it was very thirsty for a small engine, even driving normally, especially in traffic, you are lucky if you do 100km (60 miles) with 20€ (around 25-27$) of petrol. Very easy to park and do slalom in dense traffic, front seats were confortable for me although I'm quite short (1,70m), but the back seats aren't for long trips. Forget the trunk if you put a subwoofer like I did 😂Maintenance wise is reasonable, they seem reliable for long term, I would recommend one.
Things to look for is the direction is fully electric, if the battery dies, the direction dies, not even The Rock could steer this little boy if the battery dies. Spark plugs recommended are NGK, distribution belts should be checked, the one I bought second hand it had stock belts and they were made of various pieces which held together one large piece, highly recommend to remove them and put one piece belts from Continental.
This swift is way better than indian model because its looks great ,more features and last is the safely 🤩

Seems really quick up to 160-180 for a 140HP car, probably because of the low weight. Almost as if it was going down a hill.
This model has 0-100 in 8.1 seconds. What would be the 0-100 with adding 34more hp and 40 more newtonmeters by stage 3 vhiptuning, beeing 174hp swift sport. Do somebody have some experiance?

Given I own this same car, it's beyond me why he stays in 5th. This motor makes NO power after 5k RPM, if he shifted to 6th probably would have got it up to about 240.. bad driving IMO

自分はZC31Sを11年間乗って去年の3月に手放しましたがとにかく運転が楽しく仕事で嫌な事が有っても帰宅の運転で気分転換出来た事がよくありました。惜しむらくはモアパワーでしたね。高速道路では1800のストリームでさえ道譲らなければなりませんでした。モンスターのマフラー、SHOWAのショックアブソーバー、アドバンRS2の17インチに215/40/17ラジアルタイヤ交換で面白いクルマになりました。どうぞダンバインダンバインさんもスイスポライフを満喫してくださいませ！

Ein absolut Geiler Flitzer 👍 Wenig Gewicht, Gokart Feeling und Mal im Ernst, das meiste spielt sich doch auf der Bundesstraße ab. Finde ich besser, als 2 Tonnen Gewicht mit 600 PS.
