    Thank you, I am also ready for a new project. I don’t like the one I am doing now and have been thinking of abandoning it. I have seen a couple of other ladies do an alphabet series and I like the idea. Got to make pages and gather supplies. 😃

      I'm so glad you are inspired to join in. No project is abandoned - just 'rested' until you find the fun again. Some of my favourite things are projects that took years because of a long pause in the middle. 🤗

    Got started on the A-Z project this week. Your tip to start with a piece of fabric to set a color scheme was very helpful to get me started. Yay.

    I sew both hand embroidery and wool appliqué, I’ve never made a book. This is very informative. I’ve been quite limited as to the stitches I use and have not used most of the stitches you showed. Thank you for your time and sharing this video. Definitely going to check out the books too.

      Thanks so much. This is the first video in the series. I haven't made the others yet for UA-cam. You can find them on my Instagram profile in the highlights. There's a little circle for each letter from A-K.

    Hi what size needle do you use please ?

    • @featherstitchhouse
      @featherstitchhouse  Місяць тому +1

      I use a size 7 John James embroidery needle. I prefer a large needle. I do tend to stitch with whatever is nearest though! If it's sharp and I can thread it, it will do for me. If I am using machine thread, I use a sharps needle so that the thread doesn't come out all the time. If I am making knotted stitches, I use a straw needle. I have no needle discipline though. I'm very casual about it. Hope that helps. 🙂

    Disappointed, what design name is a, b,c, etc. It's not what you're doing. Don't care for what fabrics, items you're using. It's the stitch.

    • @featherstitchhouse
      @featherstitchhouse  Місяць тому

      It's stitches that start with A. The tutorials are after the introduction that explains the series. It's all in the description.
