Very unfortunate that Galois died so very young. Who knows what else he could have discovered with such an innovative mind

You're starting the "Story of Algebra" several thousand years after it was invented. Credit is usually given to either "Diophantus of Alexandria" who lived between 200 to 280 CE, is often mistakenly known as the 'Father of Algebra', for his Arithmetica, a work on the solution of algebraic equations and on the theory of numbers. 500 years after Diophantus of Alexandria, came Muhammed al-Khwarizmi (c. 780-850, Baghdad - though born in the region of Khwarizm in what was northern Persia). Al-Khwarizmi gives us the word "algebra" from his book Al-kitab al-Mukhtar fi Hisab al-Jabr Wa-l-Muqabala. His pioneering work offered practical answers for land distribution, rules on inheritance, and distributing salaries.
What is called 'Algebra' today was invented in Kemit (Egypt) well before the Pyramid Age.

Your talk about origins of Mathematics but you failed to mention the names of Aryabhatt , brahmagupt, bhaskaracharya.

He is talking about algebra. Had he spoken about number theory, he would surely have mentioned Aryabhatta and Brahmagupta.

    Ridiculous, utter non sense.
    Even before Islam was launched.....
You are starting from AD 900/970....pl understand that
Aryabhatta in 1200 BC and many others after him finished Astrology + its calculations thru Mathematics.
It includes size of earth, distance between planets, life of stars etc.
And am surprised you dont have a singlr name to mention. And you say, you are an Indian.

No, it‘s a fact that the Islamic world was driving scientific progress then. Those results in algebra (and various other topics) are and will always be correct and useful. That should be acknowledged by everyone, no matter how much there is to criticize about Islam nowadays.
