I think it was two different use cases / boards. The first board was for the church / worship use case and this second one is for when Mitch plays out. I'm thinking of putting together a few different boards, but still working on the pedals involved and the best order / flow :)

There will also be an option for a trs pass through for a footswitch. The audition loop can also be there but it will use the send/return for the 4 cable method effects loop so you'd have to choose one or the other depending on your rig.

Great video. I just found this video this morning. I have a question regarding the Airturn. I have one but when I plug it into my power supply i get a really weird oscillating hum and clicking sound. I’m just using a one spot daisy chain and I assume that is my problem. Have you ever experienced this. As long as I run it unplugged or on it’s separate power supply like a usb plug i don’t get this.

Im loving my rig at the moment. Running a PRS SE Custom 24 Sweetwater Exclusive Quilted Charcoal, G&L Tribute S-500, or a Schecter Diamond Series Banshee 7-A into a Mesa Boogie High Wire > Ernie Ball VPJR Volume > EHX Cockfight Wah > Wampler Ego V2 > Fender MTG Tube Distortion > EHX Nano Big Muff Pi > EQD Grand Orbiter V3 > Boss Eq-200 then splits from the EQ to my Egnater Tweaker 40 Combo on channel B of the Eq and from channel A on the eq it goes back to my High Wire then to the front of a Roland JC40, then out of the effects loop of the JC40 to a Boss MD-500 > Strymon Timeline in stereo > GFI Systems Specular Tempus and back to the JC40's effect loop in stereo. And out of the High Wire's tuner out is a Peterson StroboStomp HD. The Egnater Tweaker i dont use often, but its connected to my board to occasionally split off and try kinda a Wet/Dry/Wet configuration, but in a direct recording solution with a Two Notes Captor on the Egnater then a 1/4" stereo break away TRS cable in the headphone out on the JC40. I prefer the tone of the JC40, but use the Fender MTG Tube distortion to add 2nchannels of tube tone to the JC40. One channel is edge of break up, then the boost section is pushing the pedal's tube into full overdrive while keeping unity gain. Only things i want to change is my wah pedal, add a UAFX Golden, change the Ego Compressor to an optical compressor, upgrade my actual board from a DIY board i made with either a Vertex or a Emerson Custom, and tighten up my cable management. Right now my cable management is nonexistent and its a nightmare to look at, but surprisingly the rig runs really quiet and that High Wire works really well ensuring I minimize signal loss.

I play in a bar band, mostly originals, Americana blues-based classic-rock, with a few covers blended into our sets. I have a lot of guitars but my rig is basically this: Gtr - Peterson Strobe Tuner - Wampler Ego-Mini compressor (always on) - Wampler Tumnus (For softer/mild rock - blues crunch stuff ) - Strymon Riverside (Higher gain- Plexiglas stuff - hard rock) - Boss FB-2 Feedback/Booster (set as mostly a clean boost to any of the settings before it, with a tad of eq and volume for leads - and drunk at the end of the night I smash it for feedback thrills, ha ha) - into a Mesa California Tweed (I keep the gain at about 11:00am, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less depending on the song) - Strymon Brigadier delay in the effects loop (I position this pedal on the top of the amp so I can tap in the tempo with my hand). Sounds absolutely glorious and more importantly easy to dial in great tones for every song our band plays. Writing this, my rig sounds more complicated than it really is. Keep it simple and don't be afraid to focus on two or more "boost/drive/distortion" settings in your rig - that is the heart of your tone. Get a good tube amp too. A good foundation makes everything else easy.I think Mitch's rig is awesome but after a long day at work, driving in traffic to my gig across town, with 10 minutes to spare, you need to dial in quick - get something easy! Ive bought most of my gear from Sweetwater - great folks, ask for Mark Magdich, he will set you up proper!

I feel like Mitch would love the Fender MTG Tube Distortion pedal. I recently bought that pedal and its absolutely perfect for adding subtle tone changes like hes using with the Dude, and its boost section allows u to add a second gain channel without adding more volume. Its really cool. I highly suggest it for anyone looking for an amazing sounding versatile drive pedal. Love The Mitch 2.0 board, sounds and looks amazing!

There's a few things that really help with reducing noise - I call it the "Holy Trinity of Tone". 1) high quality soldered cables (low capacitance ~30 pF or lower ideally). 2) high quality isolated switch mode power supply. 3) high quality buffers on the input (first) and output (last) of the system. In most cases if you do these three things, even if it doesn't look as clean as Mitch's rig - you'll have something that's quiet, reliable, and will have as minimal tone suck as possible.

So is Sweetwater's UA-cam channel just a vehicle for pushing Mitch Gallagher's music "career" now? I'm sorry to be a dick but this shit is kinda corny.
I love the role Don Carr plays in this though. The constant, rapid fire, unassuming and gentle pleasant surprise "Yeah. Sure. MmmHmm. Right, yeah. Exactly. Oh! Yesss. I love it. Yeah, MmmHmm. HaHaHa, of course, yeah, exactly. K. Mmm'K. Right, right, K. Ohh."
With Mitch just going on talking as if he's a legit touring and recording artist. Coming out for an interview before a gig at a big club or theater while on tour supporting the latest album. As though Don is a writer for Premier Guitar who he's just met and has come down just to interview him about his rig. Cuz the fans want to know the secrets to his tone and have been requesting the Mitch Gallagher "rig rundown" update since the new record came out.
