I love how people are apprehensive at first then open up after they hear the question and get to talk about the music they love. The world ain't so bad!
I just moved to Toronto for university a few months ago and it's so weird seeing this now, the pandemic has made this city feel entirely different and changed how people interact so much
I've been watching this "What Song Are You Listening To?" videos all morning & I got to say that Torontonians have that best music taste by far. (Well it's because they listen to the same music I listen to). Fucked Up, Bats for Lashes, Edward Sharpe, Miles Davis, Rage Machine. And I also love how you guys don't show interview after interview, you kind of show off the people of Toronto & the City to. You make Toronto look more interesting than New York. Wonderful Job. Beautiful Shots
That's one of the very best in the series! And you guys are super-cool for showing us the note the people in the streets saw)) So much fun! Made me sad again that I got rejected by a UofT grad program =)
I decided to put that dude at beginning of the video because he has so much class and character. If you look closely hit actually hits my camera with his finger because he has so much energy.
CeeJay I mean, better than nothing I guess. Man, imagine if he would've pulled out some g-sides track, that would've been awesome. That album is criminally underrated
RATM is one of my favorite bands ever. They have a purpose to their lyrics, they thrive to create change in society, to challenge the government, to question everything and they make some of the funkiest, grooviest, hip-hop beats with instruments. Beats most hip-hop artists any day of the week. People just get too caught up in rappers and forget there's way bigger genres that have had longer to evolve. Btw, Renegades of Funk is a cover of Afrika Bambaataa's original. It was on their album of covers, Renegades. Another incredible track is Ghost of Tom Joad. A cover over Bruce Springsteen's song. WAY different and they made it so RATM but in a great way

That last song is beautiful!
Toronto had the best taste yet
It's funny how so many of them need to look at their playlist to know what they're listening to because they can't remember what it's called.

Same lol. People were also a lot nicer in Toronto a decade ago Imo
Well the very end of 2011 just about 2012
hahaha this turned out more stereotypically toronto than i thought it would
i typed this comment before the video ended but it kept coming. the Joan Jett and the Miles Davis answers were so of course
What about it is stereotypically Toronto?
Great job! I love that you added the playlist at the end :)
