La preuve en est : Sébastien Loeb en a acquis une pour se faire plaisir et est toujours compétitif avec malgré la différence avec les WRC actuelles !

S was cancelled, so thus a proposed "group-X" was introduced in which the car would have a rather insane power to weight ratio and high RPM. Thus explains why the Kit-cars category completely demolished the WRC cars category on tarmac event in the late 1990's thanks to its relatively high horse power with rather low body weight.
@D3cyTH3r They are different Vatanen and Panizzi....Vatanen's expertise was on loose surfaces, gravel, mud, snow......Panizzi was the king on tarmac surfaces, that's why they call him "the tarmac master" Also Vatanen's Opel in those videos had maybe twice the HP than this peugeot, that car was before Group B was banned, and this car is after....that's why Vatanen's videos looked faster to you :) They were....but you can't compare.....
@D3FTRON Je ne suis pas d'accord avec toi,les Clio Maxi étaient au même niveau si ce n'est au dessus....Gilles est un superbe pilote mais il ne faut pas oublier Jean Ragnotti, philippe Bugalski et Fabien Doélen(pour ce dernier sur peugeot)
Fin les premières 306 sont nées bien avant les Meganes, les clio ne rivalisent pas avec une 306 Maxi. La Xsara a fini définitivement planté le clou en étant plus vite et plus fiable que toutes ses rivales et y compris sa grande sœur la 306
Actually this car is a F2 kit car 2.0L category, FWD only, no turbocharged, lightweight. It make a hard time for world rally cars to beat that one on wet and dry tarmac stages
I'm no rally expert but after watching 'Ari Vatanen's' ("Dear God" & "Isle of Man") video's this guy seems positively slow and the course seems simple (and safe) in comparison?
There are some real muppets on here aren't there? Grp B was the greatest years of rallying.... Maybe but this isn't a Grp B car, its an F2 Kit Car from about 10 years Later!!!!

Vatanen Peugeot was uncomparable stronger than this 306.Vatanen 205 was in Group B where all veihcles had above 400 HP.
