Looks great, can't wait to try it on my next hike/camp! If there was an award for "Hardest Working Prepper Video Channel", you'd get my vote! Just started watching your channel this year, have learned tons from you, new food prepping ideas, equipment that I have purchased, look forward to what awaits from you in the coming year. There are other prepper channels, but love how you find gear/food ideas that works with us poor working slob budgets. Happy New Year to you and yours, praying for a much better 2021 for all of us.

I cook up Ramen and always throw extras in! Never thought of peanut butter!! I'll usually throw in diced onion, various spices, maybe some shrimp, if I'm cooking in a microwave, once it just about ready, I'll crack a raw egg into the centre and give it another minute or 2.

That's a great idea -Pad Thai! I've been doing similar for awhile now to reduce sodium. I use about 1/3 packet of the seasoning in the pot and pour the rest into a reused plastic bottle for some future use. When the noodles are done I pour off most of the liquid, as it's mostly starch and salt, leaving enough to coat and loosen up the noodles. Then I add whatever I can come up with to crank up the flavor and nutrition. I agree, ramen doesn't have to be a flavor and nutrition flop.

I love to use the whole flavor pack. Hot and extra sodium.

This is a great video. Nothing like making a great dish with little or no cost by using those free condiments we all have been collecting each trip to eat out. This kind of thinking really makes your videos stand out. I'm going to make this for lunch today, thanks!

Thanks for being both educational and
    entertaining.
    This ramen dish would also
    be good with sriracha sauce.
Wishing you a healthy & happy
    New Year.

That's an interesting idea for a meal I'm not really a lover of peanut butter but I might be willing to try it just because it has a bunch of other stuff in it

Look for lemon juice packets too, they’ll add a tangy kick to the Pad Thai.

You can also make hot and sour soup with the noodles. I use the chicken flavor noodles . I crush the noodles before I open the pack. Then I open it to remove the spice pack. While the 2 cups of water is coming to a boil, mix a tablespoon of arrowroot with 3-4 tablespoons of water. Set it aside. In another bowl, scramble a large egg, set it aside also. Add the broken up noodles to your bowling water. Add the contents of the spice packet and stir. After two minutes, hold the bowl with the scrambled egg a foot above the bowl and drizzle into the boiling mixture. Next add a teaspoon of dried green onions and 1/2 teaspoon of dried red pepper. Remove from heat and stir in cider vinegar and hot pepper sauce to taste. (The more you add of each, the better it clears your sinuses when you have a cold, LOL.) Stir your arrowroot mixture and return the soup to a simmer. Add the thickening until the soup reaches the consistency of gravy. This will depend on how much vinegar you used.
When I first started making this, I did not add the egg. I later added it to increase the protein. You can also add some bean sprouts, broccoli, mushrooms or other vegetables of your choice. I add cheddar crackers when I eat it. Enjoy!

Yum! Corn or carrots or even canned bean sprouts for some veg? And Pad Thai needs eggs! Just whisk up an egg and stir it in with the sauces, it will cook and be yummy!

The only thing I ever mixed in with Ramen was some of those polish sausage and once I tried it with some left over Ballpark hotdogs that I cooked on a grill. Both times I used the chicken flavor Ramen and mixing it with the grilled hotdogs was so good.
