    Looks like a nice sturdy splitter, similar to an Iron and Oak splitter here in the United States

    Did redgum indicate if the play normal for the head?

      Redgum advises a 5mm gap each side is normal. I have a bit more and will adjust.

    No log lifter nowdays equals no good. Split wood is just going to fall off that H beam in the horizontal splitting postion doubling your workload picking it up and every kilo of wood you split you need to lift by hand making it harder work than it needs to be. There are much better vertical ram/log lifter designs with a waist height splitting table on sale now even by Redgum. The position of the operating lever is no good either, you can't effectively or safely operate a splitter with two people on it, it should be a one person job. Working at ground level is a back breaking job, you couldn't pay me to use that machine let alone own one.
