I have a very beat up TeeBird3 that i LOVE. It goes very straight for 300 and has a little fade at the end. My backup for that is a brand new Aura Votum. It flies exactly like a very beat in Teebird3 if you ever need a replacement for that flight.
you should def try a lucid ait evader. They go super far, hold turn longer but still have a super consistent fade! Would like to see you throw max weight evader vs lightweight. I have a feeling the lightweight will make your bag
I've got two in prolink and one in sp. I LOVE me some DGA Pipeline! For me the prolink is more of a straight flyer while the sp is a bit more overstable. I absolutely love the Pipeline!
My first throw with the Sky Walker FD1 was on a vacation a few weeks ago. I had the pleasure of throwing Wild Berry Fields in Door County Wisconsin. First hole is a perfect forehand shot just under 300ft. I purchased the new FD1's (C Line and Horizon at the time) hoping they will be reliable forehand discs just like the 3 tooled mold produced by Innova. The Sky Walker did not disappoint. First shot out of the car, parked with the Sky Walker. Snagged a few backups as well as the new S Line and I feel that between the 3 plastics this disc comes in, I can cover most shots in my bag between 300-350.
Want to put an argument in for the MVP Volt. Pretty overstable in most plastics but in the Fission plastic it pushes really far before fading and beats in relatively quickly to get some good turn. Been working on several Volts into my teebird slot because its easier to find flat Volts and they’re consistently stable to overstable.
I LOVE my nuetron volt. My tee-bird fits the longer pushing fade shot. My volt doesnt push much in the end, it reliable as can be. I throw 140's and 150's fission in my insanity and Tesla. The insanity is nuts to control, but so magic when right. I bag a plasma insanity 170's and its the safer of the two, but not as fun.
I just found a Rival and am waiting for the owner to call me back so I can return it. But I through it around a little bit before I left the course and it is DEAD STRAIGHT. I also have an Instinct which I like but I do find I can turn it over fairly easy. Not this Rival though it can take power and just go straight. Def a disc I'll be adding to my bag
My friend throws a Cookie in the Sunny plastic and man it’s sooo smooth. It’s really knifey tho, and doesn’t glide long like the ones he’s reviewing in this video
My stable fairway driver is the discmania magician. It’s rated at 6/4/0/2 and It works well for my arm speed. It has a nice flat flight with a reliable finish. A beat in magician does get a mild mid flight turn, but always fades out at the end. I’m in the neighborhood of 275-300 ft of distance for reference.
Have a flake champ Teebird, and what I dislike is it tends to gain in altitude when thrown harder. Tried a friend's lucid Explorer, and it flew very level, which is what I needed for a shot. So I'll be switching to the Explorer. I wish I could try a ton of discs before I pick one, but when I see one that works, I'll get that and not risk buying the unknown and be disappointed.
Lost my C-Line FD, but I wasn't too mad, it was really overstable, and I already have an old Axiom Clash that flies very similar. I'm tryna throw my 7-speeds on like 350ft holes low ceiling tunnel shots dead straight and it's not helpful when the disc skips hard left into dense trees. I ordered a River so I'm hoping I can hyzer flip that, maybe I shoulda gone with the Crave. I only got so much money!
Huge fan of S Line plastic. Typically S line is a little more understable. If I didnt love my Crave, I would throw an FD and FD1. As forehand dominant, the Crave is my one stop shop.
Votum gang reporting in. I love that my Glow, Ethos, and James Proctor Aura are essentially 3 different discs. Glow being really overstable, Ethos being stable, and the James Proctor Aura being a little flippy. If I needed to live with just 3 discs and a putter I could do that.
@chrishess3413 actually got gifted one, ended up losing that one in water but I loved it so much I scoured the internet to get a new one. Unfortunately, not currently in print so you either need to get lucky or find one second hand. Hopefully they'll do a stock run of glow votums again soon because it's one of TSA's best.
Proctor Panda Votum are incredible discs. Forehand, backhand, love it. TSA is working it's way into my bag with every release I get my hands on. Pathfinder, mana, Votum, mantra, Omen.
I'm a teebird3 fanatic but recently I got my hands on a Clash Lotus, it's a larger diameter disc but has a very long strait flight, and might replace my beat up teebird3. Something about the large diameter that I like a lot, it's stable and smooth. Maybe a little slower, but went further 🤷♀
I switched to Teebird 3 in star and champ, I use one of each, they are much more reliably OS compared to original Teebirds and my star plastic is beating in to be a hyzer disc.
I have a glow ice passion for this slot with stock runs of passion to fill out the stability range. I don't like the hand feel of traditional 7502 molds after I bagged the explorer and realized I avoided throwing it since it felt so weird.
I’ve found some success with a vulture. Ik it’s a 10 speed, but i find I have a lot of control with it, and also I have the plus of mashing it upwards of 350
FD1 for the win. I love my c-line FD1 it such a beast. The FD is my go to straight to under stable fairways if you can find a metal flake FD they are money
You should check out the Vanguard instead of the FD1. If you wanted something less than a 9 speed, but want something more stable than the standard S-line FD which is dead straight, then the Ella Hanson Showstopper Fd's are a tad more stable and fall perfectly between FD s line stock and the s line Vanguard which is 9502
What plastic do you have all these in? I have been looking for a disc to extend my Instinct slot. I have a Neo Instinct which is reliable for a straight, flat line and a lot of fade at the end. Problem is that it doesn’t glide enough.
@@neverlayup yea. The volt is an MVP mold that doesn't have an Axiom 'less stable' counterpart. Tesla/insanity, resistor/servo/crave really covers any shot shape I could ever hope to throw in that 300-400ft range. But if you're a volt thrower, looking for something that feels like a volt... Yea you're SOL.
I have a Patrick Brown Aztec Serpent Badger by Legacy Discs. It's the most overstable mid I've ever thrown. It might only come out of the bag once a round, but man, it's nice when you need the stability. It's what I imagine might be the Tilt of mids 😂
I picked up a dx thunderbird dx beast and aviar 3 years ago and I've had 5 dx thunderbirds since about to buy another. They fly very similar to the crave but 50 ft further. Can't 4hand it tho. Tb3 doesn't 4hand good for me either. Crave 4hands good but my new insanity 4hands perfect.
My top 5 underrated brands: Legacy, Clash, DGA, Gateway, Thoughtspace Man I have been contemplating this slot lately. I found my favorite workable “beat in Teebird disc” in the Millennium JLS. Seriously underrated disc. Currently bag a pink Neo Instinct for the OS slot, which is stiff on the rim and I find that I have to power up a LOT just to get the distance I want out of an OS 7 Speed. I need something that glides easier and still fades heavy at the end. I’m contemplating these molds: - Athena - Glory - Terra - Saint Pro - Eagle / Exodus
Dont look over the explorer, the different plastics makes it amazing.. I have a dead straight Recycled Explorer, a gold orbit Explorer a little overstable and a ricky Opto-X as a beefcake
@@rrydkvist7790 I actually picked one up a year ago, but I did not like the feel in the hand. pretty domey, and it sank like the instinct. Not a bad disc tho
Love the vids! You kind of rock around a bit when seated. Makes me think ya gotta pee... My champ glo t-bird fits the stable slot, after my KaxeZ, which is after my crave. Love me some mid range for my wooded courses.
Replace Tee-birds 😆😂💀 many have tried but always come back! The Tee-bird will be back in your bag by the end of the 2024 season. No one escapes the power of the Tee-bird, mwahahaha, mwahahaha 🤣
Teebird and Teebird3 are not the same, just similar. I get a full 40 ft+ more with a Teebird3 than I do with a Teebird (same weight, same plastic ... 360ft vs 320ft for my top-end distance ... avg for each 340 vs 310).
I've always heard people loving the TeeBird so much. Soon as the C-Line FD1 came out I got it and oh boy. It truly is THE control disc. My brother and I got the Skywalker FD1 in Colorado when it came out. Immediately my brother tickled the chains on his first throw at the famous Coal Creek course 😲 Can't wait until I can get my hands on the S-Line version.
Discmania is slowly taking over my bag. Excited for the S-line FD1. The Horizon is great.
My champ teebird is pushing 12 years now. Potentially the greatest disc ever made.
These days’ runs do not glide as much as the old ones tho. It’s a pity
@@BryceRogers_ yeah i can throw this one on a rope. My newish star Teebird3 is a meathook.
Hands down
I use two Legacy Rivals in icon plastic one flat top and one that has more dome in addition to a broken in Evader in Licid plastic.
Eagles never die! Lol. I have 3 in different plastics and weights, such a good workhorse that’s easy to find imo
I switched teebirds out for the lat 64 explorer. Love that disc so far!

Gotta shout out the mega classic DGA Pipeline in SP plastic. Can't even begin to describe how good that disc feels and how well it beats in.

Cookie gang cookie gang
If you could even get your hands on the Drew Gibson Phantom Warriors, those are pretty damn stable. I've bagged one for a year, still stable.
This is essentially how I became a discmaniac. One mold got me. Then I started looking at the new discmania made plastics. Now it's all I bag.

I found a flat top plasma crave that fits my straight to fade fairway slot. Not sure what I will do if I lose it though.
You always say your flick is trash but it always looks good to me
And that's coming from a flicker of Heats
Ive been slowly switching my bag over from innova to clash because I love the plastic. Cookie is a good teebird

I really like the Explorer and the Cookie.
Yeah I was thinking the Explorer and the Glory should be compared here. I personally don’t like the dome on the explorer
The Athena for that slot, all day.
Skywalker and Athena for me. Beat in Athena for the longer anny turnovers, skywalker for the extra fade
