The Simpsons index or diversity used here is incorrect as shown in the video, atleast according to the spec all values ought to be between 1 and 0 wirh 1 being infinite biodiversity and 0 being absolutely none. According to OCR the equation we need to know is D = 1-(summation(n/N)^2)

ah yup, that's the AQA formula.
OCR is 1- ( sum of (n/N) squared). You are given the formula in the exam for this .
