If I'm being honest with myself, I'd love to get a deva cut... I have a hair stylist who takes really good care of me but in Nova Scotia, we don't have a DevaChan salon. I'd personally would love the experience, but I think a lot of it has to do with the demographics of my area. Now, if I lived in Toronto, ON in Canada it'd be different.

Shaniya Campbell she wasn’t being racist at all. It’s just that a lot of hairstylist don’t know how to care for the other race hair type like their own. (I had a bad experience) so, I was actually shocked myself to c this...(doesn’t make me racist ) it actually made me excited! I’m in Michigan and I really would like to make a trip just to have her hands in my hair!!!!

How long is the transition period?? We don't have the same hair so you probably have a different experience, but my hair has been so dry since starting the girly girl method a week ago!! do you think I'll benefit from going to a salon for a DevaCut and style?
My transition period was a year and a half. I do think you’ll benefit because until you cut it off your hair won’t curl. Once I cut my hair it started to curl more and grow way faster. ❤️❤️ also the curly girl method doesn’t work for everyone so do what works best with your hair ❤️❤️

I know I will probably receive some push back but I am going to say it anyway. Alot of us have gone natural and it bothers me that white salons and hair product companies are trying to cash in. Why? because blacks spend the most money on hair care products. I will only buy from black own and created hair products and black hair salons. These salons didnt crop up until we stop buying relaxers and the products to maintain them. Most of the companies have owners who are racist like Murdock who joined forces and are involved with companies like BET and Blackpeople meet.com (supposedly all black dating site). I will uplift my brothas and sistas who have stayed loyal to us by taking care of our hair. Giving black dollars to white own businesses or hair products is a slap in the face to every black girl and boy who have been discriminated against because of our natural look. My nephews rock their afros and I rock mine. Giving props to carol's daughter and every other black own and created product on the market.
They need to stop using paper towels. It's so wasteful. Just use a microfiber towel.
