He was nominated for best comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, played sold-out seasons in London and New York and featured several times at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. He made his US television debut as a crowd favourite on NBC’s ‘Bring The Funny’, and his comedy specials have become pirated UA-cam sensations. The blueberries joke flashback was amazing. The guinea pig story was the best comedy story I’ve heard since buying a bookshelf off Gumtree. Jokes are set up at the start of the show with punchlines almost an hour later. Randy Feltface is a master at his craft and we are so fortunate that he puts his specials here on UA-cam for everyone to enjoy. Thank you Randy!

If you ever get the chance, DO go see him live! I can't explain exactly what it is, but the act really is even more hilarious and enjoyable live in the plush. Plus, there was a meet & greet afterwards! Priceless.

Was travelling around the East Coast of Australia in August and September 2023. Got off the bus in Byron Bay, saw the poster for Feltopia outside the theatre and thought "Aw man, can't believe I missed him, I've always wanted to see Randy". Then I saw the date. It was that night. I rushed in backpack still on, nearly toppling through the door. Only 3 tickets left. I bought one and had THE best time that night watching one of my favourite comedians I'd only ever seen online, being from the UK, live right in front of me by complete chance.

I love when that happens. And it rarely does. Only once for me. I was getting off a train going home around 8 at night and this girl I know was scalping a ticket to a really good rock concert side stage. Just random luck. Had no plans on anything that night and next thing I know I am side stage at a killer show with a hot girl no less. Would have been just as thrilled if it was Feltface.

The amount of joy you bring me Mr Feltface. I still can never forget MEETING YOU STONED for Purple Privilege. Hoping for a stop in the Midwest sometime on one of your tours. I know there's nothing but corn and opioids but I can promise you it's worth it.
Using a puppet for comedy is so genius. It allows him to be funny doing things that other comedians can’t do without looking creepy. Imagine if you’re watching a comedy show and person comes out and starts humping a table for a minute strait. It’s funny when a puppet does that, but I would certainly be weirded out if I say a guy doing that on stage.
I was SO sure that Randy would reveal at the end that the wig he was wearing was the ginea pig's fur. Didn't happen, but would have been in brand. Great show all the way through!

I was there for this show. The reason everyone is laughing so uproariously from the very start is because Randy’s opener had just had an unbelievably funny chat with a couple in the crowd. Randy came on and said “I was backstage just trying to catch all of that. What’s she saying? He did what?”

APRIL FOOLS DAD! YES!! That was a wild ride. I can't remember all the details so hopefully someone here does to tell @moriane about it. Something along the lines of a chick having a baby to a one nighter and then got with him properly later, telling him on April fools day that he was the dad to her child or something like that

Love how he literally never explains or elaborates on the guinea pig being named Simone de Beauvoir. Maybe more average people know her than I thought but just feels like a fun easter egg that fits the character for Phoebe.
I’m pretty sure it is based off actual guy Simone de Beauvoir which had a theory which was a liberatory response to women's oppression is a feminism of freedom.

Simone de Beauvoir (was) a famous French writer and sort of(!) feminist, who kind of was the wife of French philosopher Jean Paul Sartre (who initially refused to collect his Nobel prize, also as a writer, but then changed his mind, it is after all a considerable sum of money). In my view Sartre is / was a shithead. Anyway they lived in separate apartments in the same building, and Sartre had numerous young women lovers. And really Simone de Beauvoir wasn't that happy about that.
So yes, it's an "Easter Egg". If you want a character that is insanely intellectual and complicated to name a guinea pig(!) after, Simone de Beauvoir is a perfect choice, especially in some kind of imaginary indie film.
Had it been a male guinea pig, maybee in the same spirit, it would have been named Noam Chomsky? (Sartre is maybee too obvious?) Not that funny though, to go with Phoebe. (Who it would have been to obvious to name Zoe, with two dots over the "e".)
Thing is, I think everyone get's the feeling, even if you don't know shit of the above. This comedian is brilliant! I'm Swedish, this is the first I've seen or heard of him. (Kind of a Groucho Marx kind of clever comedian.)

My favorite part of Randy is how easy it is to see him as a real living being. There are times where I'll even swear that there are changes in his facial expression. My brain even sometimes swears it sees him blink even though Randy doesn't have eyelids.

There is no chance that you’re regurgitating old bits or acting like a shell of yourself. Every Randy special that drops is an amazing spectacle that sets itself apart from the previous ones. Cheers mate for all the laughs and existential crises you’ve given
Randy makes me think about how physically demanding it actually is to puppeteer. As far as I know it’s just one guy under there, and he’s a) moving Randy’s mouth with his hand, b) controlling Randy’s entire body with his arm and shoulder, c) has to move around underneath the stage back and forth constantly, d) controlling BOTH the arms and their detailed movements by himself, and of course d) performing a well-written and charismatic stand-up routine INCLUDING crowd-work improv AND TWO MUSICAL NUMBERS (and as a bonus, there are 2 whole props)
EDIT: I’ve now listened to a podcast episode where Heath McIvor actually describes how he puppets Randy and he I thought maybe he had a rolling pad under there, but no. Sometimes he’s kneeling, but mostly crouching and crab-walking from side to side. It’s so fascinating and impressive to me that he’s able to do that for over an hour

I listen to a lot of stuff at work on youtube but i have never laughed out loud so hard as i did when randy said "i am a sub. *HE* is the dom" and the hand appeared.
I saw this act in person in Connecticut. Randy's crowd-working skills are legendary. Cannot thank him enough for not passing us by like so many comedians tend to do.

I am a Hicks man and a Carlin man myself. The Kennedy assassination reference and some microphone techniques Randy generally uses are all great salutes to Bill. i love how, when he's quieter, he seems like such a nice, polite little puppet. hands together, soft voice, intonation is so much smoother.

Last year, I went to see the tour with a dear friend who has since passed. She wasn't familiar with Randy and loved it. Watching this and raising a glass to her. Miss you Jo!

To be fair he calls out one of them in this very show. Albeit Jeff Dunham's joke is talking to the wacky puppet while Randy *is* the puppet who may or may not be the wacky one in a given joke depending on the setup.
That's true haha... He does seem very self aware and when telling jokes if the reaction isn't what he expected can't just let it go (for funny effect). So he'll hold something much longer. I do wonder how much of that is just routine tho, probably most of it. If you're still reading this you're gay and that's awesome.

Went to see Feltopia in Wellington. It was a tiny little theatre so his eyes would meet with most people there very easily whenever he darted his head around. In the beginning part where he just stared blankly for a little while it was comedically awkward having his pupils looking right at me, thus starting and unexpected staring contest. Keep in mind it was a small theatre with a tiny stage so he was very close when he leaned out and did that. It was great XD. So glad I finally got to relive that experience through watching this. Thanks, Randy! :D

Oh my god I lost it with the "sub" and "dom" bit lol. I had read so many fanfics in my life, I immediately knew what he was talking about and freaking died. THE "DOM'S" HAND APPEARING DID NOT HELP EITHER. Definitely my favorite moment for this special!
